that plot twist was top notch.
absolutely worth watching at least ten minutes of advertisements, lmao.
the story line, character development, and the character dynamics are already insane but what's even more amazing is the art work. those eyes are made of nightmares istg. it felt like watching a film and i can so easily imagine this being an actual k-drama!
i really hope jin and manny work together, i have a feeling they would make a great pair. i wonder if they will end up solving the case. kyun is so pretty! i love all the micro expressions.
i am reading the webtoon version so i divided the 93 episodes into five volumes, so roughly 18 episodes per volume. i don't know if the original volumes correspond to this.
SPOILERS AHEAD:
1. i totally called it: the dad being the one to throw him off the roof top. little jin's eyes were so large and innocent, my heart went out for him.
2. jin having a mini breakdown cause two random people called themselves his friends? adorable.
3. all the sex ed talk is low key giving me second hand embarrassment haha.
4. the gum idea was actually so cool but nooo that creep had to be already there at the salon ugh. i hope the cctv idea works.

The art style continues to be amazing, especially for the father, and I continue to be on the edge of my seat in every chapter. The father is a worthy opponent.

The psychological thriller is amazing, the added spicy touches in this volume will for sure add tension in the upcoming ones.
I'm starting to see how the protagonist will develop the same way it did on Sweet Home, but hopefully I don't end up crying again from a terror thriller.... this author is amazing at mixing terror with other genres to generate fresh and unique outcomes

Carnby Kim and Youngchan Hwang are just getting started as they draw the reader deeper into the story. With more and more of Dongsoo Seon's (Jin Seon's father's) actions revealed, I found myself immersed deeper and deeper. Reading this is like wading through a thick lake, one from which I can't escape. The air is filled with thick fog, and rays of light illuminate the scenery. A thick fog covers everything effortlessly, showing what was hidden in plain sight. This definitely isn't the most disturbing thriller to exist, but it did get disturbing (although I have barely read any thrillers, so I'm not really sure if expert thriller readers would find this disturbing😅). This put the "thrill" in the "thriller," as our protagonist Jin is driven to a point, one in which he needs to choose: the father he has always feared or the girl he has grown to like.
What his father does to the girls and women isn't entirely clear, yet a commonality between them all is that all of the females have a similar appearance. All of them are bloody and, in the end, dead, so what is truly happening to them and why? Then another killer is introduced: a woman who loathes her own appearance and hates pretty women to the extent that she kidnaps some, tortures them, and puts them through immense pain. When these two meet, it's going to be so interesting, especially if both murderers have the same target. Dongsoo's target is a young, kind-hearted girl called Kyun, whom Jin falls for.
Kyun was an interesting character that I can't wait to see more of. From my perspective, the most interesting relationship dynamic in this story is the one between Manny and Jin. Manny is a person who Jin assumed was terrible. Manny is a very conflicted person. He befriends Jin but doesn't want to be seen with him because it will ruin his reputation. He helps Jin become stronger but goes from being a friend one moment to an enemy the next. Each time he does this, he is also testing Jin in order to make him stronger, but underlying this all, he is and will become the friend Jin needs. Seeing Jin make friends and how this influences the decisions he makes is both heartwarming and foreboding.
I love the parallels drawn between the two. Manny became stronger to protect his father, and Jin became stronger to ruin his father. Jin has artificial valves in his heart, metal pins and plates in his joints, and a glass heart. People (conceited people) consider him weak because he's disabled and quiet, but Manny helps him strengthen himself. At the same time, he isn't necessarily a good friend. He uses people and gaslights them, hurting Jin at the same time as helping him. Jin has strong determination. Near the end, a scene in particular sparked my interest. If Manny were to understand Jin, if they both have a common goal, it would be interesting to see how they enact their revenge.

Nastavak Kopileta nešto je drugačije atmosfere od prethodnog dela. Đin ovde doživljava puno toga. Imamo neke za njega (pa i čitaoce) vrlo emotivne scene, kada na momenat uviđa da je voljen i da ga neko zapravo ceni i podržava. Nakon godina zapostavljenosti, ponašanja ostalih u školi i života kakvog je sa ocem vodio, Đinu je teško da tu činjenicu prihvati. Nekad stvari izgledaju suviše dobro da bi bile istinite. Tako je i sa Đinom. Ceo svet se sruši na njega.
Đin polako shvata da mu se sve više dopada Gjon. U njemu se vidi postepena promena karaktera, pored primetne promene u još nekim likovima. Neki likovi izazivaju moju konstantnu sumnju u pogledu pravih namera, ali je priča jednostavno takva. Nesigurnost u pogledu jednog lika pokazala se ispravnom. Nažalost, još jednom se odrazilo loše po Đina. Verujem da će tu biti još dosta obrta i iznenađenja, što ostaje da se vidi u narednim delovima.
Ovaj deo je pun novih detalja i nekih šokantnih saznanja. Scenario je zaista odličan. Na momente iskusim pomešana osećanja. U jednom me poglavlju autor drži napetim, bukvalno me naježi šokantnim i jezivim delovima, da bi me u sledećem ohladio pa zatim emotivno razneo. Bilo je previše momenata gde sam zaista žalio za Đinom, jer je lako povezati se sa ovim likom. Znate onu šupljinu... onu rupu koju osetite u grudima? Baš tako sam se osećao u pojedinim gorkim scenama.
Ovde nema mesta odmoru. Kopile je bukvalno page turner u pravom smislu. Kada jednom počnete čitanje, ne želite da pravite pauzu. Iz tog razloga se vrlo brzo završi, a vi onda jedva čekate izlazak narednog dela. Nadam se da će i to biti uskoro. Nakon kraja drugog dela, umirem od želje da odmah čitam sledeći.
Priča koja "vozi čitaoce" upotpunjena je sjajnim, ali zaista sjajnim crtežima. Zajednički rad ova dva autora je urodio zlatnim plodom. Moram pohvaliti i prevod, koji je takođe odličan. Pronađeni su pravi izrazi u našem jeziku, bilo da je u pitanju formalan govor ili sleng i idiomi. To još više upotpunjuje osećaj.
Ne znam šta bih još rekao, a da već niste čuli od drugih. Ovo je jedan zaista sjajan manhva serijal. Drugi deo dopao mi se i više od prvog. Vama iskreno preporučujem Kopile. Dakle, očekuje vas mešavina horora, napetog trilera i drame, a sve to uz dosta iznenađenja i emotivnih delova. Naravno, ponovo uz fokus na preporučenom minimalnom uzrastu čitalaca zbog svega što ova manhva sadrži.

Tomo número 2 de bastardo. Jin Seon, ha decidido enfrentarse de una buena vez a su padre, pero... ¿qué pasa cuando nunca has tenido pensamientos propios y mucho menos tomar decisiones por tu cuenta? Jin tendrá que improvisar y comenzar a tomar decisiones por su cuenta para proteger su vida y la de Kyun.
Jin Seon, nunca ha tenido la oportunidad de experimentar y mucho menos conocerse a sí mismo. Ahora está comenzando a experimentar sentimientos que nunca había sentido. Tendrá que sentir sentimientos y experiencias que nunca había vivido o sentido. Comenzará a experimentar el término amistad y comenzar a tener atracción por alguien, pero esto se complica cuando el sentimiento ¨amor¨ nunca estuvo en práctica o en su mente.
Durante los últimos 17 años, Jin fue cómplice de su padre asesino, creía que era la única manera de sobrevivir. Pero, al conocer a kyun Yoon, al ver la sonrisa de ella, y ver como se le aceleraba su corazón, decidió, que ya había crecido lo suficiente, para enfrentarse a su padre.
Hay un momento donde Jin comienza a llorar porque al fin no se siente solo completamente, que al fin tiene amigos que les brindan una amistad a él. Debo aceptar que, si me rompió un poco verlo de esa manera, de estar tan solo por tantos años y cuando no lo está más, se rompe.
El primer recuerdo de Jin fue estar en una cama de un hospital. Soñaba o mejor dicho tenía pesadillas de que alguien lo empujaba del techo. El problema es que siempre, pero siempre que tenía ese sueño, siempre era su padre. Tengo teorías, pero no comprendo porque si el padre de Jin intento ya asesinar a Jin en su niñez, pero por cosa del espíritu santo sobrevivió, ¿porque no intento hacerlo nuevamente?

Nous retrouvons donc le jeune Jin dans sa quête de justice et de vengeance, il est plus motivé que jamais pour protéger et sauver la fille qu'il aime des griffes de son psychopathe de père. Et pour ça, il est prêt à tout !
Mais si un autre meurtrier rejoignais la partie et qu'une amitié s'effritait, comment ça se passerait ? C'est ce qu'on va commencer à découvrir dans ce tome. On peut dire que Gyeon Yun et Jin se sont bien trouvés, ils attirent tout les deux sans le vouloir des personnages plus étranges les uns que les autres.
Cependant, même à force de volonté et d'entraînement, Jin aura bien du mal à vaincre ses démons ! Entre trahison, amour et suspens, ce nouveau tome nous plonge encore plus profondément dans la réflexion. Pourquoi faire apparaître ce nouveau meurtrier ? Que prépare le père de Jin ? Que cache le côté le plus sombre de Jin ? L'amitié est-elle aussi éphémère qu'il n'y paraît ?
C'est avec toutes ses réflexions en tête que j'ai dévoré ce deuxième tome ! J'ai vraiment hâte de découvrir la suite de cette intrigue aletante et pesante ! Le côté psychologique des personnages est toujours aussi bien exprimé et travaillé on ressent toutes leurs détresses et/ou fureurs et on se demande finalement qui est le plus fou dans cette histoire.
Qui en ressortira vainqueur, la folie ? Ou l'amour ? À moins qu'un mal encore mystérieux prennent le dessus sur cette bataille

What a webtoon. Incredibly well done, as is everything else from this author. This reading experience is uncomfortable and unsettling, and unquestionably well done. Definitely deserves the psychological horror categorization it is tagged with. Within these pages you will find the entire emotional range represented, a solid story, and plenty of twists and turns. This series somehow strikes a perfect balance between storytelling that is grounded and realistic, yet absurd and unbelievable.

For most of the reading experience up until the ending this was “fine”; good enough to keep going but not life-changing. The ending however elevated the entire series to the next level. Once I finished, I had to read the whole thing again, and it was even better the second time around.
The series as a whole is 5-stars, so I’m simply rating each volume that way. I don’t see the purpose to only reading part of the story.

this volume is conflicting to me, there were so many good moments that are needed for story development but at the same time I didn’t feel the same as I did when I read the first volume. The focus has been put on this girl the MC has developed a crush on, imo she’s not the most likable character. She’s very poor financially and resulted to escorting to pay her debts (she also has these psycho debt collectors stalking her) but whenever the MC is worried for her safety she’s extremely naive and says “it’s not that big of a deal” meanwhile there’s also murders and missing girls in her neighborhood. Like girl you have people stalking you, murders happening and you live alone with your senile grandpa but you act like nothing is happening?? Don’t necessarily love the ditziness of her character, imo it sort of takes away the angst and seriousness.
Outside of that I’m loving this cat and dog chase between the mc and his father. The mc has finally stood up to his disgusting dad and now the book has taken a turn. He also has the help of an unlikely ally, Manny, who used to bully him but has now turned into a friend of sort - teaching him how to get stronger. Excited to see where this goes.

Cette suite est très intéressante. Voir Jin, si seul et enfermé par les perversions de son père essayant de devenir plus fort afin de sortir de sa sphère d’influence. Il veut devenir fort pour protéger Gyeon qui a le malheureux d’être la cible d’un second tueur en série. Il s’ouvre peu à peu et prend confiance au lui. C’est intéressant car le développement de Jin est marqué par l’enfance qu’il a vécue et ce n’est pas si facile de mettre toute cette violence derrière lui. L’aspect psychologique de cette BD se complexifie et devient de plus en plus intéressante. Les illustrations sont toujours aussi réussies et sublime ce triller haletant.

"Hace años que leí esta historia y todavía me acuerdo del impacto que me causó. Es sobre un chico que es hijo de un asesino y tiene que lidiar con eso. Se aleja de su padre y conoce a más gente, pero tiene miedo de que lo lastimen. A pesar de eso, es una historia adictiva con un giro que no te esperas. Con buenos personajes y un dibujo de cierta manera tetrico.
Me encanta este autor porque sus historias siempre me cautivan y tienen buenos giros. Lo leí en Webtoon y lo recomiendo si te gustan las historias de intriga .

J’ai un peu moins aimé ce tome que le 1er et en même temps certains passages m’ont laissée sur le c*l ! Je suis en plein tourmente parce qu’on en en plein milieu du suspense et qu’on se pose pas mal de questions mais j’adore ça !!! Hâte de découvrir le tome 3 !

uma leitura bastante fluída e q acaba por explorar diversos elementos bem interessantes, embora o final seja um tanto quanto decepcionante, se for pensar de um lado, no mais, é uma obra bastante satisfatória, q cumpre oq promete!
