I barely made it out alive, and even then, I lost the life I knew.
I was sure my plan would work. That I’d be able to disappear without a trace and leave the past behind me. But when a note appears and reminds me that I cannot run from this kind of evil, I’m forced to figure out how to end this once and for all.
Dragging Claire into this mess with me was never part of the plan, but she’s proven herself time and time again. I’m not sure I can do this without her. I’m not sure I even want to try.

Johnny and Claire are back! I have been waiting for this book after the ending of part 1 of this duet and it was a good read for me.
This author is new to me and I am surprised to find that I love her books. Her books are not very dark and more on the contemporary side for me since I have read a lot of dark stuff.
The book continued from where it had left off in the first part. We got to see a lot more of our characters and that was fun to read. I loved the ending and can't wait for more!
This one was a one time read for me and I would definitely recommend this duet to all the light dark romance loving people out there.

After the surprise end of book 1, I was curious just where Tessa was going to go with Johnny and Claire’s story. Truly, that would have been a satisfying and believable ending- while leaving the door open for us as readers to paint the picture of just how happy their happy end came to be as they drove off in the sunset. But, Tessa clearly had story left to tell- and a love story to enrich and deepen.
This story is certainly intense. We pick up right where our prior story began, with Johnny and Claire optimistically but caustionally looking towards a new life away from the drama and danger they left behind. But, the last doesn’t stay buried, and their love and life is tested. But Tessa writes about an epic love-and even if their decisions may at times be reckless, they fight to protect each other. We have lots of action, a very cleverly constructed plot full of twists galore, heart-break and healing. But what is most compelling is the romance- whereas in book one I wanted more emotional connection, Tessa doubles down and deepens this character connection as these two find themselves finding an uphill battle yet again just to find enough peace to explore their chemistry and unpack their baggage.
Quite an epic journey for these two young souls, and what an introduction to Tessa James- clearly an author to watch!

OH.MY.WOW! Tessa James has completely broken me and then slowly put the pieces of heart back together again. Johnny and Claire’s story was one intense ride. Picking up right where Book 1 left off, their story was full steam ahead with intense moments, love and lust galore, and a dedication and loyalty like no other.
Johnny and Claire’s story was heart-breaking, scary, tumultuous, but oh so beautiful and full of passion. Their love was soul reaching, completely and utterly consuming in the best way. The lengths they would go to to protect one another was astounding, even if at times I just wanted to shake them and say ‘just tell each other already’ even though they had the best of intentions.
There were so many twists and turns, total bombshells, I never saw coming. Tessa James created a wildly intense, completely romantic, and absolutely intoxicating story that I never wanted to end. With bittersweet moments and an HEA to challenge all other HEA’s, I fell madly in love with Johnny and Claire’s story.

The story takes off after the first book and to say it’s intense would be an understatement! Tessa served with this book, and gave Johnny and Claire the ending they so truly deserved. I couldn’t be more in love with it!

This book picks up right where book 1 ends and it takes off!! Claire and Johnny's story was so many things and this author definitely had me feeling them all. There were twists and turns you didn't see coming, more drama, and danger. It was heartbreaking at times and full of passion at others. There were things that I did not expect to happen that did and it was amazing to read all of it. After everything these 2 go through you finally get to see and feel the true love they have for each other and they so deserve it all!! This duet was amazing and I'm so ready to see what else this author has for us!

Stop before you read this one make sure you have read book one from the duet tortured. Sinner first other wise it will leave gaps when you read this one.
Now the first one left you asking questions on what happened next for our couple well your going to BA happy yo know thus one gives you the answers your looking for but may bring up others. Though as you keep reading you will get those ones as well. Like the first bok your going to be sitting on edge wanting to know what happens next. Now I'm not going to say how this one ends what good is that . read this through to the end and you will see yourself.but I will say I'm hoping there's more from this little broken world tessa has created icant wait to see what comes next

Holy Macaroni!!!
Ok, I love that this is in a duet but didn’t leave me completely blindsided and wanting.
The second half is full of danger, mystery, drama and suspense with some sexy sexy time!!
Absolutely love all the twists and turns that make your jaw drop with just the right amount of Awe!
Claire and Johnny have an undeniable bond that only strengths with every life altering event. And there have been a few of those.
I love Claire’s character development and how she has transformed herself.
Can’t wait to be back in this world and hoping for more with the other characters.

I’ve been waiting for this book since the moment I finished Tortured Sinner. That wasn’t a cliffhanger but it ended as a HFN with tons of loose ends and I was invested in these characters. Luckily for me, this story goes right into the action, picking up exactly where the first ended. The first book had a lot of tension and built up to the action so I was expecting more of the same but that wasn’t the case. I wasn’t prepared for the fast-pace and constant action, but it’s just one thing after another and I couldn’t put this book down.
There are new enemies and allies, plus a few twists I never saw coming but Claire and Johnny handle it all. Claire in particular has really come into her own, no longer holding back and not afraid to act on instinct. Johnny struggles with guilt from bringing her into his world but she proves to him time and time again that she is more than capable and will never shrink in the face of danger. She’s a badass who saves them more than once.
Their relationship has grown and deepened in so many ways, but it’s happening so fast, they’re both hesitant to give in to this all-consuming love at first. They’re so gone for one another but at the same time hesitant to reveal their dark sides, afraid the other will walk away if they only knew the truth. It’s frustrating but completely realistic. Eventually circumstances force their hands and they both drop all pretense. They bare it all, every vulnerability, despite their fears and it only makes them stronger. Claire was sure Johnny would be horrified at her secret but it leaves him in awe of her strength and determination.
Johnny thought he needed to protect her until he learns the hard way that keeping her in the dark works against them. They’re much stronger as a team than he could ever be alone and
the only chance they have to survive Franklin is to work together. Once all the cards are on the table, their connection not only deepens but gives them the energy and a renewed strength to fight.
I love everything about this story and it’s just as steamy as the first. These characters drew me in immediately in the first book and I always want more. The evolution of their relationship has been sweet and scary and hot but I still want more. They get their HEA here, but it comes at a price. The ending was bittersweet but leaves the door open for this to become a series and I really hope that happens. Their circumstances at the end of this book would be the perfect foundation for more so the series-hound in me is begging for it, but if this has to be the end for Claire and Johnny, I couldn’t imagine any other ending to their story.

Fallen Angel is the second book in the Sinners and Angels Duet. In this book we get more development of Johnny and Claire’s relationship. And, we get a front row seat to the lengths they would go to for one another. These two are made for one another.
Johnny and Claire take us between the present and two months ago as they fled California in hopes of being free from Franklin’s clutches.
As they settle into the low key life and Claire returns to college, Johnny realizes they are still in danger. Keeping it from Claire while he tries to formulate plans with a trusted ally.
Claire, innocently, stumbles upon information about Johnny’s family tree. Keeping it from Johnny until she is sure it is information worth sharing.
As their past catches up with them and they reveal the truths being kept, they both come to realize they are stronger together and have others in their corner to count on.
I did not see this conclusion coming. Well written suspense romance that kept me very enthralled.

Fallen Angel is utterly spell binding, it's captures your imagination immersing you into the dark and twisted world Johnny and Claire find themselves in. The book continues flawlessly from the ending of Tortured Sinner after that emotional cliff hanger.
Throughout we see how deep the connection between Johnny and Claire has grown however they haven't fully learnt from past mistakes and still aren't 100% honest with each other even if it is with the best of intentions which leaves them in a very precarious position with both their love and lives on the line.
They discover no matter what they can't outrun those who wish to destroy them, the darkness of their past follows them. Finding new allies may be the key to their survival but they are far more than meets the eye. Ohhh wow wow wow! I am completely speechless by this concluding part of Johnny and Claire’s story!
As soon as “Fallen Angel” landed on my kindle I just couldn’t wait to dive right in I have been completely invested in this couple since I first started their story!
Johnny and Claire have become one of my favourite couples to ever be written their connection their intense chemistry is nothing short of phenomenal I have never experienced anything as intense as this Johnny and Claire are thrown into a world full of darkness fighting for their survival this book is packed with twists and turns and it’s the ultimate thrill ride you have been waiting for
Tessa James has completely blown me away with this fantastic duet I cannot recommend it enough I highly urge you to add this masterpiece onto your TBR and #oneclick you will not regret it

Fallen Angel continues right off from where Tortured Sinner ended. The story continues on following Johnny and Claire as they try to start life anew away from the dark, ugly past that caused Johnny grief and to ultimately make the decisions of walking away from a criminal life. But running away is never the answer, something Johnny soon learns after receiving a note. Leading to his and Claire’s life being in danger once again. But what will he do to stop it all before it’s too late?
Through dual POVs we are presented with Johnny and Claire’s continuous story. At the same time, we are shown flashbacks to the past from both’s perspective. Helping with filling in the missing pieces to the details of Johnny’s decision and how the plan came about.
Safe to say Tessa James pulled through with Fallen Angel. Ultimately giving us a story that embarked on a wild and dangerous journey that is full of twists, turns, hurdles and drops that occur throughout. Leading to a narrative that is action packed filled with suspense, mystery, drama and of course steam.
Dear Lawd, Tessa James knew how to push my buttons. She had me frustrated with Johnny and Claire through at least about 50% of it. Which I guess you could say is a good thing, since it kept me gripped on and wanting to know more. Devouring each and every word as it went along. But honestly they annoyed me to no end with the decisions they made in regards to one another. I honestly wanted to shake some sense into them because of it. At the same I couldn’t help but love them too, not only with understanding why they did what they did. But the connection they shared was just so raw and beautiful that continued to heighten over time. Making you fall deeper in love with them. Especially with how they were towards each other, showcasing their love towards one another in many ways. One of which included their fiercely heated chemistry that lead to passionate moments. It was obvious Johnny and Claire were meant to be together, being each others soulmates. Seeing and reading about it just gave you the feels.
All of that plus the explosions from the secrets revealed and the thrilling action that took place made this book one intensely emotional and eventful journey. Giving off non-stop anticipation in this exhilarating adventure.
Overall, I enjoyed reading Johnny and Claire’s story, to finally see the get the HEA they deserved was the cherry on top of the cake.

YES! Fallen Angel picks up right where book one left off! If you haven't read book one (Tortured Sinner) of the Sinners and Angels duet by Tessa James be sure to pick that up, you can catch up but you won't need to if you start there.
We pick up right away with Claire and Johnny, they've started a new life as new people and are trying to move on. I really love how James tells her stories from both POV so we don't have to wonder or wait for another book from the POV of our hero to know what he is thinking.
James kicks us off right away with the suspense and you know things are just going to take off from there. Throughout all the suspense and twists and turns we get to know Johnny and Claire even more and see their connection. I love that these two are not perfect people, they have both made mistakes and yet they come together and have this amazing relationship. Ma’am!!! Excuse me!!! What did you do to my heart!! Johnny and Claire’s love and devotion to one another is that passionate, deep soul kind of love that runs through every part of you. These two were every bit each other’s soul mate and the complete one another in a way that I never imagined possible. They would go to the ends of the earth to protect one another but are still relatable and far from perfect. They had their moments when you wanted to strangle them and tell them just talk to each other but that all part of them growing pain. The progression and growth on not only their relationship but them as individuals was very well written. Tessa James keeps us on the edge of our seat once again with every twist and every turn you never know what is coming next but you’re along for the ride and what a ride it is. I couldn’t have asked for a better conclusion and I am really hoping that we get more from this world. Absolutely amazing and MUST READ!!

Fallen Angel is the conclusion to Claire & Johnny's story, and in order to enjoy it to the fullest, YOU MUST READ Tortured Sinner (Book 1) FIRST! It picks right back up where the first book left off, and the ride has gotten even more intense to be honest. And while I would totally love to give all the details, I'm not a girl for spoilers since it's so much fun to actually experience it all for yourselves & blindly at that. These two are tying to stay away from danger and/or a great deal of drama (and everything in between), but you already know that it won't be quite that easy so the twists are coming in hot. There's also a great deal of angst which had my emotions all up in arms so I felt every last thing these two did so you don't want to pass all this emotional goodness up. If you want to find out if Tessa James brought healing to all of us who have been feeling every last emotion, you know what to do! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Even though they are hopeful their escape attempt worked, Johnny and Claire keep looking over their shoulders, worried Franklin will find out they deceived him. As soon as Johnny finds a note, making it clear Franklin is coming for him, he knows time is up. Accepting the consequences for himself, he's not willing to see Claire suffer for the choices he made. But Johnny isn't the only one keeping secrets...
Fallen Angel knows a bit of a slow start, but the author marvelously built up the tension and suspense, resulting in an action filled finale. I love the connection between Johnny and Claire; I believe it's everyone's dream to have a person in their lives to feel connected to in this same way. It's not just the main characters I fell in love with though; there are several other characters that struck a chord with me. This final book was action filled, but also highly emotional and a real joy to read.

Fallen Angel by Tessa James is the second book in the Sinners and Angel Duet. I am still trying to decide what to say about this read. The storyline was really good and the growth in Claire’s character was phenomenal but I’m still on the fence about Johnny. He’s a great person with an amazing heart but the thing about him that I have a had time with is he just doesn’t seem tough enough. I mean he goes through a heck of a a lot so I’m not sure why I feel this way. He survives something most would not. I guess it’s more…Claire seems tougher inside and out than he does. Now that’s not to say he isn’t willing to jump in and do what needs to be done. I’m probably judging his character to harshly. The book itself is really good. I recommend it to anyone who like a good love story with a bit of a dark side. I received a free advanced copy to read and review.

Holy smokes Batman, this book will leave your head SPINNING! I freaking love Johnny & Claire and was beyond excited to finally get the 2nd part of this duet because the first part of the duet was absolutely excellent. This book delivered everything that I was hoping for and didn't even realize. It is a wild and bumpy road for them, but you cannot help but root for these two!
All in all this duet is freaking amazing and I could not recommend it enough! Tessa James delivered something extremely powerful that you will get swept away right into the story. I give it 5 outta 5 stars and totally recommend you checking it out!

I have been anxiously awaiting this book! It picks up shortly after Tortured Sinner ended, but we get some flashbacks to give us the scoop of what our favorite couple has been up to.
I’m sure we were all rooting for Claire and Johnny to ride off into the sunset and live happily ever after. But nothing can be that easy. This book is full of twists and turns. We meet some new characters, and get some visits from old friends and foes. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. I loved the character development, especially Claire’s. And although I was upset with something that happened at the end, I still thoroughly enjoyed this book! I’m really hoping we’ll get more from this world.

great duet!
The finale to this duet was soooooo good!
The growth that both Johnny and Claire went through in the book all but doubled/tripled in this book. They work on living their day to day life hiding from Franklin and just making sure to not mess up the future that they are working so hard towards. When a secret Ancestry test reveals a part of Johnny’s life that they never expected they find themselves with help in their huge time of need. As with all stories the tragedy that this book leads you through was not only sad but life changing. But in the end we see our HEA but are also left with wanting so much more. Such a great read with this duet!

This is the 2nd part of this incredible duet and Johnny and Claire’s heartwrenching journey continues straight on from where #1 ended. As Johnny and Claire move on cautiously with their lives, they have an undeniable and unconditional bond, and they will go to any lengths to protect one another. This is a well written story which is intense, and with action, emotions, suspense, secrets, drama, twists, passion, danger, healing, mystery, and love, which all leads to a steamy and riveting page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Fallen Angel is Book Two in The Sinners & Angels Duet and Tessa James totally will have you sitting on the edge of your seat with everything that will happen with each and every turn of the page.
Johnny & Claire will have to overcome so much but knowing that they have each other might just be enough for them to find that HEA they deserve. I love everything about this young couple, you can’t help cheering them on right up till you see the words The End.

Fallen Angel was a great conclusion to the Sinner and Angels duet! We pick back up with Johnny and Claire after they’ve gotten settled away from Franklin. But things quickly escalate into a dangerous situation for both of our characters. There’s a lot of new revelations in this installment and a lot of action as well that keeps the story moving along. You see proof of how much Johnny and Claire love each other even after everything they’ve endured together.

My new favorite duet from Tessa James. Whew, what a ride Claire and Johnny’s journey was. Fallen Angel picks up right where Tortured Sinner leaves off and must be read in order! I absolutely loved this conclusion for this duet, the twists and turns, the way Johnny and Claire developed as characters, both together and separately. It was everything I could have hoped for and imagined for these two, such a fitting end.

I have voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book. This duet was the first I have read of Tessa's and I am sooo glad I found her work. You just can't help to love Johnny and Claire. You can feel the love that they feel for one another and we should all be luck to experience that type of love for someone. Again, there were some twists and turns that have you saying OMG but for me; I enjoyed reading Claire turn into a bit of a badass! Johnny and Claire are the ultimate couple goals!
