My name is Mia, and I am so screwed.
I didn’t even know my name until I found it on a bracelet on my wrist, but in the past weeks at The Conjurer Academy I’ve learned more about myself—just not about my past. Where I came from and how and why I ended up on the railroad tracks in the middle of nowhere remains shrouded by the mists of amnesia. Or something like it.

Turns out, I got skills...or rather a skill
Everyone at the academy has magic. Well, everyone I’ve encountered in my classes so far. But for some reason, I don’t. Or none that I can access. Who am I kidding? I probably don’t. But I do have one ability the majority of the others don’t, and I gotta say… It kicks butt...hard.

And then there is psychometry
Something I’d never heard of but that seemed so familiar when we studied it in class. Of course, inanimate objects hold the feel of their owner can convey an array of information about whoever touched it last, or most often. It seemed a no-brainer to me, but when it was introduced, I seemed to be the only one in class who already knew how to read these things without even trying. Where did I learn that?

Oh yeah… Did I mention the guys here?
I ran into three of them. Icarus, Puck and Rad. And oh my gods, each of them is totally different and totally drool-worthy. I’m hoping I’ll get to know them better. Maybe go on a date and kiss one of them. Who knows? Maybe all three! Hey…a girl can dream, can’t she?

Conjurer Academy from Bestselling Authors Mazzy J. March and Jenna M. Jett, featuring a kickass but confused heroine who is completely out of her element in an academy where magic is the norm and up is down…or maybe sideways. It is a why-choose alternate universe, reverse harem romance with a slow burn build up to scorching heat. Relationships develop over the course of this supernatural series and, of course, Mazzy and Jenna guarantee an HEA.

We have a lot of mystery in this book. Mia is still trying to find her magic. She has found two mates but doesn’t understand. There is one other but she is still confused because he is promised to another. Now there is death, but who is doing it? Who is sending her strange notes? Who will help her? What is really going on? Can she find her magic? Will she find out who is killing the fairies?

This is the second book in a series. Mia has found a place in the conjurer academy, but still struggles with finding out more about her own magic and her past. In the meantime she gets closer to Puck, Icarus and Rad, and disturbing things seem to happen close to the academy.

This is a short, fastpaced read, where a lot happens and questions keep piling up. A lot of the questions from the first book remain unanswered, while new ones come up. Mia seems to be connected to the disturbing things that happen on and around the academy, but the reason why remains unclear. It made me happy to read more about the connections Mia has with Puck, Icarus and Rad. I especially like Puck: he's a guy that likes to make mischief but also knows when it is time to be serious and really listen.

The only thing that annoys me about this book, is that it is so short. Once I was fully emerged in the story, it was allready finished. The fact that it ended in a cliffhanger and with thousands of unanswered questions didn't really help. I will definitely read the next book, because I still think this is a very interesting story, but maybe I would have liked it better in a box when all the separate books were allready finished.

Puzzling It Out . . .

Mia can’t remember her past nor how she ended up on the railroad tracks in the middle of nowhere with something like amnesia. At The Conjurer Academy, she doesn’t know what skills she has. The only skill she may be good at is psychometry which allow the person to read inanimate objects that hold the feel of their owner and can convey an array of information about whoever touched it last, or most often. But she doesn’t know how she knows this, it just feels like she does. She makes foolish choices. But the guys there are amazing. She met three of them: Icarus, Puck, and Rad. Who knows where that will take her?

Decent storyline but not a book

I’m not going to write much here, simply because there isn’t much to tell. This isn’t a “book” but more like a long excerpt or couple chapters. It’s frustrating. I though the first one was a fluke but this barely had anything happen. I wish the author would write a full story worth before publishing. If they put the first two together it still wouldn’t be fulfilling. Disappointed and annoyed is an understatement. If you are going to read these, I’d at least wait till several “books” are released to make it worth the time and effort.

I liked Mia better in this vs in Enigma, she was more focused and trying to figure out what was going on. She did keep making some TSTL choices that were kind of annoying - like after the first time, you’d think she’d at least take someone with her or tell someone. There were also a couple minor consistency issues. The mystery surrounding Mia is intriguing, although I wish someone would give her answers even the guys seem to know something, but give vague answers.

Uh. I need the next book. Things are crazy. Fairy murders. Three hotties. One bitch. A talking monkey. It’s crazy. Also Puck being super mischievous is a little too on the nose. But you know exactly who he’ll be. And Mia is starting to remember more. But was it a dream?! Doesn’t seem like from that ending

good story

This storu is fast-paced and engrossing, but the description. is completely misleading. it has nothiNg to do with the story at all. I hope the next book comes quickly so we get a clue a to what's happeni g to poor Mia.

It has been over 3 years and no finish to this story. Very poor on the part of the authors. Don’t read as it will leave you with out an ending
