For some good deeds, you need a very bad man

If you knew my targets, you’d know what they’ve done. You’d know how much they deserve what’s coming to them. Next on my list is the politician. A prime example.
But the bouncy intern throws a wrench in my plans.
I don’t intend to fall, but if I do, all bets are off.
She comes first. Protecting her is all that matters, but things get complicated when feelings run hot.

Successful hitman, as well as an older gorgeous, John, is about to put a lot of stock in to another individual, Carrie. She is all alone in the World, as she works for a man she absolutely hates, and has vowed revenge on. Everything changes upon meeting the magnificent John and neither one of them will be the same.

If you seek outstanding romance that comes complete with riveting characters, and an all consuming storyline, then you have found it, right here, in Ms. Alice May Ball's latest release/installment. This book is quite simply hands down decadent.

I was beyond fortunate to have requested an advanced reader's copy of Teasing The Hitman in exchange for my honest and voluntarily given opinion and I highly recommend reading anything published by Ms. Ball.

John’s last assignment before he walks away was supposed to be simple and straightforward. But from the moment he saw Carrie his assignment and his life is about to take at turn he doesn’t see coming.

Carrie has a job to do and although she may be attracted to John she can’t afford to be distracted by him and that is when the surprises really begin.

Hot chemistry, intrigue and two characters who are brought together under the most unlikely of circumstances.

I did not care for this one. I read it as part of the Men of Ruthless Corp series but it was probably my least favorite so far. Maybe just me but I had a hard time getting into the story and finishing. I felt like I had to go back and reread parts of the book because I couldn't figure out who we were talking about, who was who and what POV we were in. I think the concept sounded promising but the story didn't deliver for me personally.

This was a fast paced and short story. John met Carrie while getting the last stages of his hit ready. Their chemistry was fast and intense. Little did John know who she is and what her agenda is. Love at first sight with a HEA and a bit action as well. Safe, romantic, fun to read, steamy and no drama👍👍😍😍

This was an exiting story that's mostly written from John's POV and it was entertaining to get some 'insight' to a hitman's thinking - and the idea that he could fall for a gal, pretty much instantly, despite their very obvious differences. This is a fast paced, sweet and steamy read that has some fab twists to really keep your jaw dropping. Good fun!

I am so glad that I read this book from this author. We have a great mafia story. John works for the mafia and meets Carrie who is younger but sassy and needs some help. She hates her boss and he is after him. Need to read. Recommended

Danger, revenge, action, suspense, twists, a captivating storyline, great characters, and sizzling heat fill the pages of this older man/younger woman mafia romance.

I volunteered to review an advance copy of this book.

HEA
Standalone, interconnected characters to other books by different authors
*over 18 readers only *

John is a hitman. He's trying to get out of the game, but Rouge has one last target for him. A senator Carrie works for.

The Prologue repeats itself. The book dragged on. Honestly, almost DNF'd it. I want a fan of the style of writing. There was a plot and storyline, but it felt chaotic and discombobulated.

Very confused, I understood the plot of this book, but it got very confusing at some parts in the book. I was rereading parts but still didn't understand what was going on. I was going to stop reading it but I wanted to see how it ended. The prologue could be skipped.

John meets Carrie at a pastry shop, she's looking at which ones to choose. She tells him to go first so she doesn't have to choose, but then he selects a muffin. She tells him about a bar she likes to go to, telling him to meet up later. John is assigned a target of a senator who Carrie is working for. John puts a bomb on the senators car but because he's not sure if she with him he doesn't set it off. They meet up at the bar, then go up to his room, she a virgin but he thinks she's lying. They get physical, when he goes to take a shower she goes through his suitcase, he comes out and finds her. She tells him she wanted to know more about him. She leaves and he tries to follow her she climbs onto the metro and looses him, but he finds her. She ends up at her apartment. He comes up behind her and takes her key from her. He finds out she wants to kill the senator herself so he asks her to set a meeting up. John wats in the building across the street but Carrie steps in the way. When he can see again he realizes the senator is gone the railing broken and a window missing. They meet up at the bar again, he tells her he wished he'd known her plans all along, she didn't want anyone to know the plan. She assumes he doesn't want her anymore but she's wrong. He tells her he wants her in his life. They plan on getting married and going on a big honeymoon.

Carrie thought she was lucky to get a paid intern job with the Senator. She was the only one this year but the senator enjoys abusing his power and trying to pressure her into bed with him. Carrie is SO NOT interested in that. She does run into a sexy man at a local bakery when she is getting breakfast for the senator. His name is John and the two flirt intensely . Carrie invites him to meet her at the bar that evening. She would love to get to "know" him.

John is a hitman hired to kill the senator and to make it clear that it was a hit. He plans to shoot the senator in his car when he leaves the hotel to go to a meeting. Then the seantor's intern Carrie rushes up and John has to abort since he doesn't know if she got into the car or not and the assignment stipulates no other casaulties. John is both frustrated by and attracted to Carrie. Maybe getting close to her will help him make his hit. It will definitely make him feel better.

This is a good book with a few surprises. I received a copy of this story and this is my honest review.

John has accepted his last job, ready to get out of the business, this one will change his life. Carrie is a paid intern for the Senator, unknown to him, they have a common history.

Teasing the Hitman is a fun story to read with twist and turns that will have you on the edge of your seat dying to find out what happens next. Carrie and John have an instant attraction, but the more she find out the more is wants to get away, but not for what you would think. I liked Carrie's role in the book, she is far from being the damsel in distress.

Love the back scene in the book as it bring you deeper into their tale. Amazing addition to the series.

Teasing the Hitman by Alice May Ball is another addition to the Men of Ruthless Corporation series. In it, Ms. Ball introduces her readers to Carrie Lake and John Woods. Like the other books in this series, Ms. Ball follows the same plot line of a beautiful young woman in danger who encounters a hitman working for Ruthless Corporation. It is love at first sight and what follows is the quest of the hitman to keep his woman safe. However, in this book Ms. Ball’s plot has a twist. To avoid spoiling it I will not comment further.

Like the other books in this series, in this one, Ms. Ball did a remarkable job with literary devices such as dialog, point of view and descriptive language. Her dialog is solid. Their internal dialog gives readers a glimpse into their true struggles. The dual point of view further endears readers to these two. Ms. Ball masterfully creates multi-dimensional lead characters. I liked her lead female character, Carrie Lake. Her descriptive language makes the scenes vivid especially the scene where she tries evading John’s attempts to find her in D.C. Together these devices move this plot along and a smooth pace.

meh - not my cup of tea

First, big editing errors - the main one being at the start it completely repeats the beginning part. Other ones I can’t recall. I didn’t care for the main character or heroine really - their supposed dislike of one another just because they wanted one another is just weird. And to go on about it for more than half the book. In actuality, it seemed manufactured to create tension, like the main story wasn’t enough to that. Also, for being so short a book, the main male character went on too much about how to be a successful hitman. Like man, no one cares that much when it’s taking about 10-15% of the story. Character development I get, but it’s a short read already. DNF at 70%

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the story of Carrie and John. John is a hitman who is hired to kill a senator. Carrie works as an aid to the senator and hates him. When John first sees Carrie, he is very attracted to her and wonders if he can manage to have a night with her. Carrie and John meet and she drives him crazy because she is a little flighty and keeps changing her mind. John is intrigued by Carrie and she suspects him when there was a failed attempt with a car bomb on the senators car. I liked John, he seemed like he really cared for Carrie and he understood her secrets. I like this series by a variety of authors. Good one.

I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. This book is part of the multi author, Men Of Ruthless Corp series. Carrie puts a hitch in the plans that John has for the Senator. She has no idea how dangerous he is. They had an instant attraction and she brings out his protective invasive. Carrie detests the advances from the Senator but John is what she wants, body and soul. It is a short, steamy romance with some danger and suspense.

When you have a hitman for your hero, of course you expect an action packed plot. Plenty of action, though a few plot points could have been put more plainly, rather than left for the reader to infer.
John is all business until he meets Carrie with her distracting great ass and captivating sexy repartee. Their bedroom interaction will raise the goosebumps and the temperature.
Enjoyable read, I would recommend to my friends. I rec'd and ARC in return for an honest review.

In my opinion this was typical Alice May Ball. Short fun fast read. Alice May Ball gave me the things I needed to know and things I like in my stories. She gave me steam and suspense. Once Carrie told her story I knew how things were going to go and I was right. I liked Carrie and her love for her father. John was a little harder to like, but I ended up appreciating him. This is an instant love romance so things went fast. I read on Kindle Unlimited.

John is a hitman for the mafia and feels no guilt about the people he is killing. When Carrie and John meet, sparks fly and he plans on keeping her safe. Can he complete his job, killing her boss and keep her out of harms way? Fast-paced read with loads of drama, suspense and steam. I liked it.

Ok, this one had me a little confused at times, but, the plot was action packed and suspenseful. Thought Carrie and John were a good match, yet their connection was a bit surprising. The ending had me reread the beginning so it could all make sense towards the end.

John is a hitman on his next job when he sees Carrie and he is instantly attracted to her and sparks fly. John's target is Carrie's boss the Senator. This is a steamy, short romance between two characters who little did they know were both after the same target. The storyline is interesting and the ending is great. Wowza!! OMG! I loved this story. This one had a surprise twist I did not see coming, and it was so freaking cool! Ok, the reason behind it was sad, but still! This story was so exciting. The rage f*+k, well, that was a new one, and it fit the storyline, but it really wasn’t one. Loved the additional epilogues. It completely rounded out this story!!

Great book

John watched Carrie from a distance and knew he had to protect her once she was in trouble but John didn't know that she was out to do the same job he was on. So once he found out the had their happy ever and John told rogue to team them up since she had killer instinct in her too.
