Prepare for hot romance, heartache, love, and a lot of twists along the way. This book can be read as a stand-alone but is best enjoyed as part of the series. Each book in the series ends in a very Happy Ever After.

What can I say about these guys, they are loyal and honorable, treat women with respect and care. Then when they find their Sholani they are lovingly devoted to her for life. And at the same time they are badass warriors fighting to save their planet and avenge the death and destruction from The Coalition's attack years ago. What more could you ask for?!
This was a bittersweet, second time around love story of Melikk and Lucy. Melikk is the engineer on the crew, who lost his pregnant sholani in the Grud attack a few years ago, and never expects to find love again. Lucy is so damaged from her treatment at the hands of The Coalition as a slave she has retreated into herself and can't speak. When they meet each other for the first time, they feel inextricably drawn to each other, and know there is something special about the other.
Melikk has to deal with his feelings of guilt and betrayal to Kaja his deceased first sholani once he realizes Lucy is also his sholani. He also doesn't want to overwhelm Lucy since she needs to focus on her recovery and healing. Lucy is starting to feel like her old self again and wants nothing more than to be Melikk's sholani but she doesn't want to live in the shadow of Kaja. Lucy also wants to step in and help the mission to take back her power and fight her fear from her time as a slave, even though Melikk is almost overcome with the fear of losing a second sholani.
I love Melikk and Lucy together. It was pretty insta-love as tends to be with fated mates, but they were so open minded and supportive of each other and helping facilitate each other's healing. Melikk was smart and protective to make sure no harm could come to Lucy even though things never go according to plans. Lucy showed Melikk how strong and resilient human women were, with big hearts capable of so much love. Speaking of which little Melikk, that sweetest cutest little Zyanthan boy, stole mine and Lucy's hearts.
We're getting close to the end of the storyline now. Ossen's plans are all coming to fruition. The Zyanthan's finally made it through the shields around Grudan to make the way for a big strike against the Grud. Thanks in part to Lucy and with the help from some shocking new allies. I can't wait to read the next one!!

Lucy's life has been brutal. She is sent by her uncle to become a mail-order bride. On the way there, she is abducted by slavers and has her best friend murdered in front of her, and is finally rescued. All this physical and emotional abuse has traumatized Lucy so deeply, she is unable to talk and she never learned to read or write, so she is stuck, unable to communicate to either the women she was rescued with or the aliens were they now live. Melikk knows she has suffered and is still suffering, he lost his sholani and unborn child and thinks he will never find that again. But Lucy draws him in. These two have great chemistry, the book is well paced, has steam, and so much more. This a solid addition to the Zyanthan Warriors series.

Lucy's been through alot. First betrayed and sold as a bride to an alien, then enslaved, forced to watch her friend tortured and die, she's lost her voice. Now she's rescued and at peace and in a safe place when she meets Melikk. He's the first male she's felt safe with. More than safe, feelings she never thought she'd have again start to stir, if only she could communicate. Melikk feels drawn to Lucy, but knows that nothing can come of it, because he already had his fated mate, or could he? This is a very sweet romance about 2 people finding out that they can overcome their grief and their trauma to find love, interspersed with the great action and adventure that we've come to expect from the writer. Great characters and continued awesome worldbuilding. A really great read!

This is Melikk and Lucy’s story and is filled with action, loss, tragedy, passion and love. They are fated mates and they have some very steamy scenes and a happily ever after. When Lucy was aboard the slavers ship her friend and protector died in her arms after the slaver injured her for trying to protect Lucy. It was then that she lost her voice and not only that but she lost a piece of herself. When she was saved and taken to Affinia she met Melikk, when he found her she was with one of the Eeshone younglings and she threatened Melikk. It was then that he knew he wanted to get closer to her and Lucy felt the same. When the Relentless left for their mission Lucy went with them and the plan was to drop her off on the way to see a healer about her lost voice. While onboard they got closer and closer. When Melikk is injured Lucy finally found her voice when she thought she had lost him. Melikk lost a mate and unborn son on the attack on Zyan and he’s distressed about thinking he’s betraying her with his feelings for Lucy. When their mission changes suddenly Torrin asks her to do something dangerous in order to help them. Melikk protests immediately but Lucy knows if she wants to get the old her back she needs to do it. When it goes wrong Melikk and the Relentless crew do all they can to get her back and they do just in the nick of time. This is a beautiful story and definitely a must read.

This is a great story about two people who have been through painful experiences and yet find courage and resilience to love again. Lucy (Chole) is a human who has been abducted as a slave and traumatized by the Coalition to the point that she has retreated into herself and can no longer speak or even write. Melikk is an alien Zyanthan warrior whose pregnant wife was killed by the Grud. Melikk finds Lucy hiding in a barn in terror. He watches her facial expressions and seems to understand her pain. He takes her with him and protects her as they both begin to heal. Melikk never expects to find love again after losing his sholani. But both find something in each other that pulls them together, and it appears that Lucy may also be his sholani.
Lucy reaches the point where she wants to actively help the mission and become strong again, a capable partner for Melikk and not overshadowed by his previous sholani. Although Melikk hates to put her in danger, he has to give her what she needs. He has to let her re-gain her courage and let her show him how resilient humans can be!
Once again Julie outdone herself i dont usually read prequel of next book but i did this time so now ive got to wait ....thankyou Julie for your wonderfull stories ive read all your books
I'm sure he would not approve of the sentiment but Melikk is sweeter than sugardrops. The hurt and pain that he has lived with since losing his mate and unborn child added to the extreme guilt he felt for not being able to prevent it has affected him more than he ever realised. His friends see it but can do nothing to get through it or show him how to escape it. A chance meeting with a silent woman who protects a youngling despite being his size squeezes Melikk's heart. The longer he spends time with her he starts to realise that she is affecting more than just his heart. Could he be blessed a second time? Lucy is lost, more than lost, at the moment she cannot even tell people that her name is Chloe. Her experiences as a slave have rendered her mute and terrfiied of males in general yet there is something about the huge blue warrior Melikk that doesn't send her mind screaming or collapsing in fear. He makes her feel safe. He doesn't treat her like she is broken. Could she mend in the lee of his arms?
A wonderful story with great characters and storyline. Lucy and Melikk‘s story will captivate you from the start. Full of action, drama, suspense and romance. I really enjoyed this read.

Loved reading this engaging story about Chloe/Lucy and Melikk. The characters in this story are wonderfully written with their personal angst to overcome. Melikk lost his mate and his unborn son during the plague that killed their women. Morning their lost, he notices Chloe/Lucy hiding herself from the others and decides to care for her. Chloe/Lucy who was a rancher girl on Earth was given to the Mail Order Bride by her uncle. Not being able to talk after seeing her best friend killed and not being able to read she feels outcasted from the girls. After their ordeals, Lucy feels more traumatize and is avoiding the others but has notice the kind Melikk. What occurs between them and what they have to struggle together for their HEA was a page turner in this ARc that I received via Booksprout.
This has been the best book in the series. There wasn’t a mid-book break up or any of that drama. Things that happened made sense in the way they happened. Of course there was the usual spelling/grammar/punctuation issues, though it did seem like quite as much as the last two books.
My only issue really was how quickly she recovered her voice.
This story pulls at your heartstrings. Melikk is a warrior who is morning the death of his mate (Sholais) and his child. He is still broken even 6 years after the death of his loved ones. Lucy was sent as a mail order bride. She had a traumatic loss when she lost her best friend 5 months ago. She has not spoken a word since. She also was never taught to read or write so there is no way for her to communicate with anyone. Melikk goes to Affinia and happens to find Lucy hiding in the barn. Melikk is so gentle, kind, caring and patient with Lucy and seems to understand her even though she doesn't say a word. I'm not going to spoil the story but there is action, and twists/turns. Maybe you can have two Sholais in your lifetime. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The great plot was professionally written, and the characters were so well developed that as I turned each page the chemistry of the characters and the mystery of the story kept me totally hooked until the very last page!
Chloe and Melikk are both wounded deeply, but together they work towards being healed. The wirld building as always by Ms. Cohen is fantastic and the characters are wonderful. Good chemistry and storyline round out a very good story. Highly recommended.
This is an honest review of an ARC.

I absolutely love this series, this book really has an emotional impact. Our wonderful main characters both are suffering from loss and past trauma, the emotional connection and understanding between them is something beautiful and unique. Throughout the story the two of them slowly began to overcome their past, there's an instant pull between them that grows stronger over the course of the book. The switch between both Chloe/Lucy and Melikk's perspective is one of my favourite things about the book, I get a better feel for their personality and can connect with them more. The storyline is extremely interesting, it all ties in with every book you discover more of what's going on. There are so many amazing characters that gradually get introduced in each book, with frequent mentions of previous main characters. Each couple gets a happily ever after ending, although the plot is far from done I think. This is a collection that I definitely want in paperback, I never thought I'd enjoy an alien romance as much as I enjoyed this.
Loved it! This team is getting closer to breaking the hold of the bad guys and bringing them down. The characters in this book each have their own demons to overcome. Working together they are able to do that and make a family. Perseverance will always make things right in the end. Worth the read.

Beautiful read and the Roman e was lovely. Storyline was super and the characters were very well written and brought this book to life. Exciting and thrilling throughout I recieved a free copy via Booksprout and I’m giving my review freely and honestly
This is the first book I’ve read about this author and obviously the series. The author does a fantastic job of developing her characters and making the storyline intriguing. Lucy/Chloe has had a rough go of it, first being abducted by slavers and then rescued by the Zyanthian Commander but she is then mistreated on his home planet. Now Chloe is a shell of a person and has lost her voice due to trauma. She gladly goes with McKenna and the others who have found their mates to Affinia hoping for a fresh start. Melikk finds her hiding in the barn and is intrigued by this silent human female. Her expressive face and eyes say what she cannot voice and Melikk knows she has suffered greatly because he too has suffered a great loss. Will they be able to bond ever they are suffering?
Lucy is living with her friends on Affinia after being rescued from being a slave. She doesn't speak at all after everything she'd been through. When the crew comes back to Affinia and takes a short break Melikk goes to the farm with them. He doesn't want to, he's in a depressed mood from losing his solani and unborn baby. When they get there he's surprised by a human female trying to protect a eeshone child. From that moment Melikk wants to be around her all the time.
Another solid romance from this author with action, plot, romance and wonderfully vivid characters. I received a copy and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was such a great addition to the series, full of healing, compassion and love. I found the plot fast paced, full of action, danger, suspense, twists and a steamy romance for these two fab characters. You can read this one on it's own because of how great the world building is and how strong the characters are - and, like me, I expect you'll get swept away on a wonderful reading adventure.
i really enjoyed this nook it is sweet romantic and teamy hot it is very exciting i was hooked fro thr start and hated to see end. i willl read more of thid series, iam glad to recommend this very good book.

Maybe some spoiler alerts here. Melikk discovers Lucy protecting a boy in a barn, shes unable to speak. Melikk finds her endearing for this act and is patient with her even though she can't speak. When Melikk leaves for a mission, he discovers that Lucy is on board the same ship as a passenger and he sees his chance to get to know her. He soon discovers that Lucy is his fated mate but refuses to believe so because he had a fated mate that died during the war. After an accident on board the ship, Lucy regains her voice when she feared Melikk was severely injured. Soon Mellick realizes Lucy is his fated mate but she is put into a dangerous situation that is part of his mission. After much dangers they finally have a happily ever after.

This couple struggled with real life. But boy did they make it out okay. I loved how they found their happy ending. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.
Traumatized to the point she couldn’t talk, Lucy hides away from others. That is until she meets Melikk, who is kind and patient with her. Together he helps her find her voice and she helps him heal from the loss of his family.

I love it! A little short of time right now. I Just like that the engineer finds a new love with Lucy. Melikk needed someone to start over with. I love how it ties them all a little closer together. The crew is the only family he has left except his mother. It just helps unite them all a little more. I know I'm going to reread it a lot.
🔥 “I don’t want to love you or anyone again, but I do love you, very much, more than I thought possible to love another, and it scares me, Lucy. I don’t think I could survive losing you.” ~~~ Lucy (Chloe) is such a strong person, a survivor. Despite everything she’s been through - she’s one amazing woman - sweet, kind, caring and brave. I loved everything about her! And her connection with little MJ was so wholesome!
And Melikk is one absolutely amazing male. He’s lost so much in the war, but he’s so loyal, strong, protective, smart, thoughtful and patient. And when his feelings for Lucy start to blossom, he’s plagued by so much guilt. But he’s a male that absolutely deserves a second chance at happiness. I loved him so much!
The development of their relationship was so beautiful! Both needed time to heal, to find themselves and learn to live and love again. They were so perfect for each other, so great together and their chemistry was amazing and sizzling hot! And after everything they’ve been through and after everything they’ve suffered, they more than deserve to find peace, family and love with each other.
In addition, the fight with the Coalition takes some dangerous and unexpected turns. I definitely didn’t expect a certain Zyanthan warrior and that was so awesome!
Overall, the story is another magnificent addition to the series. It’s filled with so many emotions, fast-paced action, danger, drama, suspense, unexpected twists, steamy romance and wonderful characters.
I couldn’t put it down and loved every page of it! ~ I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
