Sam "General" Billings was fixated on the coming Apocalypse to his grandson Darrel’s everlasting embarrassment. Worse, his grandfather was wealthy enough to be better prepared for the end of the world than anyone… That he wasn’t the only one in the area preparing for the Apocalypse was both boon and curse. At his grandfather’s sudden death, Darrel, already struggling to deal with the loss of the girl he loved in an accident, inherits the General’s cabin and the mountain it's on. It seems the perfect place to retreat to after dropping out of his first year of college... Except when he meets a very unpleasant Bigfoot, intent on killing him. So heralds the Apocalypse that no one expected, which Darrel’s in a unique position to fight against and save lives. But he can’t do it alone… Luckily, there are kids in town who aren’t about to lose their lives to rampaging Bigfoot, either. Together, they may be may be humanity's only hope of surviving the Bigfoot Apocalypse. Welcome to D.H. Aire’s Bigfoot Is Not Your Friend, the first book of the Apocalypse Knot Series.
I thought this book was going to be a book about Bigfoot! It was more about people surviving Bigfoot attacks. Too many characters to keep track of who was who! Convoluted plot! Started to quit reading at least 3 times!
Well this time the apocalypse isn't zombies it is Bigfoot. When I started this book I thought it was going to Tory and have lots of jump scares in it. Instead it turned out to be more like that zombie movie where they are looking for a Twinkie. Also this is one complicated story line if you don't we watch out for the chapter titles as each chapter is told by a different character and that makes for confusion. Still it was fun reading about a guy, who is suddenly faster in the role of savior of humanity. Also you can't really trust anybody in this story 100% they all have their own agendas. If you like your monsters with a little humor this one is good.
