A short book, but definitely worth the read. It starts of very relatable with a group of friends in a normal setting. Go to school, have club activities, each with their own passions and insecurities without being overly complex or forced. I liked the slow buildup, where the first half is just very recognizable, day to day friends being friends. Allowing you to get to know the characters, before the big mystery kicks off.

I also loved the few subtle references to other books/media/story sprinkled in, always a fun. "I see what you did there" moment.

An enjoyable read.

I'd just finished reading a very different type of book so it did take me a bit to settle into the style, but once I realized I was basically reading an anime, it really clicked.

The ending left me very intrigued to find out just what the hell is going on in the next one.
