The Money Pit meets Fixer Upper in the next installment of the Men of the Misfit Inn series.
After a lifetime spent trying to prove he's not a screw-up, contractor Wyatt Sullivan is ready to take his YouTube channel, DIWyatt, to the big time. But he needs more than the one-man flips that built his reputation. He needs something truly big to impress network execs enough to give him his own home improvement show.
After a messy, ugly divorce, publicist Deanna James can't afford another mistake. So when she wakes up from a night of too much wine to find out she's bought a historic monstrosity of a house in an online auction, she panics. If she’s going to sell it and not lose her shirt to her ex-husband, she’s going to need some serious help. But how will she afford it?
Wyatt's just the guy to ride to her rescue. He'll take on the job if she'll let him film the process. Deanna sweetens the deal with the added bonus of using her PR skills to raise the profile of DIWyatt enough to impress the suits. There's just one problem: They both have to move in.
As they battle home improvement hell and rising attraction, can they keep from giving the viewers more of a show than they ever intended?
Kait Nolan is a RITA® Award-winning Mississippi author who calls everyone sugar, honey, or darlin', and can wield a 'Bless your heart' like a Snuggie or a saber, depending on requirements. She believes in love, laughter, and that tacos are the world's most perfect food. When she's not writing, reading, working the evil day job, or wrangling family (both the two-legged and the four-), you can find her obsessively watching The Great British Bake Off.
It’s not bad, per sei, but it’s not original. It’s a hallmark movie of a book with most of the usual cliches. One pet peeve I have that was huge in this book is having a hero be a sort of nice guy but lauding him as some exceptional man because the fmc’s ex was so terrible. Just having basic consideration for another person does not make a man great. I would love it if authors of romance novels, of all things, had higher standards.
Ultimately the biggest fault of this book is that it is unoriginal and boring. Not badly written but just so blah. I have no luck with these free books on bookbub. You get what you pay for.
This is book 3 in Kait Nolan’s The Men of the Misfit Inn series. While there are light mentions of characters from previous books and other series, this stands pretty well on its own.
Ahhhh! I absolutely loved this one. Might be one of my favorites, not just of the series - but of all of Nolan’s books (I’ve read/listened to over 30 so far!). I loved the characters, the story, the getting to know each other and all the fun secondary characters. The premise of living together while doing a house flip and it blooming to a romance was such a fun premise.
Wyatt and Deanna were such dynamic characters and absolutely perfect for each other. The “big misunderstanding” was emotional, relatable, yet resolved quickly. I love how they (& Nolan!) brought it all together. Adorable epilogue.
I’m ready for Griff & Samantha’s books, Until We Meet Again & Come a Little Closer.
Narration: Amy McFadden was amazing again. Nolan has a multitude of series that are semi-related and McFadden gives every single character a unique sound and personality. It’s beyond delightful listening to all of these.
Deanna’s life is not turning out the way she expected as she finds herself in a career she doesn’t like so that she can afford to keep her ex-husband in the lifestyle he was accustomed to. Drowning her sorrows with her best friend leads to the unexpected purchase of an older home that she now needs to renovate if she is going to escape the situation she finds herself in.
Wyatt has made a career out of renovating house however his career dreams extend further than the online following he has built. When he has the skills to renovate, and Deanna has a house that needs renovating it seems like the solution to both their problems but keeping their relationship strictly personal may be the biggest challenge of all.
Heartwarming and humorous Deanna and Wyatt not only find the answer to both their problems but the future they have always wanted as well.

Don’t You Wanna Stay is book 3 in the Men of Misfit Inn series by Kait Nolan and love reading about Joan Reynold’s boys!
Up next is Wyatt “DIWyatt” Sullivan, contractor who’s videos are on YouTube and is trying to break into the Big Time but needs a great flip house to do it…
Deanna James PR extraordinaire for big names in Nashville has a bit much to drink and buys a historic home with her savings and now needs help but she can’t afford to pay anyone…when a pipe burst she goes to town and who does she run into but Wyatt…
Can these two work together to restore the home while filming the process, attract attention to DIWyatt for a TV show (using her PR connections) and keep their hearts out of the process? Only time will tell…read on and find out all that happens….
Kait Nolan’s stories are total comfort food for me, and narrator Amy McFadden is like that perfectly creamy, spicy sausage gravy that goes on top of biscuits.
At this point, I can’t say I feel like we’re getting anything new with these storylines or characters, but Ms. Nolan’s formula works. The southern charm, the witty side characters, the happy endings. Why mess with a good thing?! I fully intend to listen to every single last one of her books!
Lately I read a lot of bully and dark romances so Don't You Wanna Stay is like a break for me. Deanna and Wyatt's story is sweet, heartwarming, and hopeful. Two broken souls find each other and mend their broken hearts together. It is written beautifully. Wyatt is so understanding, supportive, and protective. Deanna was burned by her ex but Wyatt makes her feel secure and protected. I also like the idea of the author that brings 2 characters from her separated series to be together and makes her old characters involved. I love to see Joan's family growing and everyone find their happiness.

Deanna works the country music industry as a publicist, having to take care of big name country music stars (including her ex!). After a bad day on the job she and a friend are partaking in having some adult beverages (misery loves company) and she “accidently” buys an old antebellum home in serious need of repair. Owning this home has been her dream for a while, but- for better or worse- now it is a reality!
Wyatt was one of Joan’s kids for a while before being adopted, as an adult he is working to flip houses while filming “DIWyatt” for his YouTube channel. He wants a TV show, but he is struggling with achieving success.
Deanna and Wyatt strike a deal in which he helps her rehab the home in exchange for her help furthering his dreams of a real TV series. Even though it was rough going at times, Wyatt realized that in helping her dream become a reality, he could also achieve his own dreams. including the new ones that included her! Another home run from Kait Nolan.

I always love Kait Nolan’s books. She is a writer in which you sink into the story. The story of Wyatt and Deanna is a perfect example of this. Kait has taken the men from “Misfit Inn” series and given them a story. I loved the way Deanna “got” the house and how the work between her and Wyatt on the house brought their love for restoring together with a “spark” of love between them. The HEA is not a surprise in Kait’s books but the way she gets there is the surprise. I highly recommend this book.

Even after years, Deanna James is still finding it hard dealing with her a-hole of an ex-husband and I quote, “Blake F--king Lucas. Her cheating b-tard of an ex-husband.” Deanna managed to avoid Blake during those two years so as not to be brought up on murder charges. Being one of the top PR people in Nashville allows her to work with the best but, of course, with the biggest egos. In her case, after ten years of being with her husband's ego making him who he is and him cheating countless times, wanting and charging the best of everything on her credit cards, and then divorcing her for alimony is deplorable.
Now, after working with one of the most demanding prima donnas and her day was not bad enough, she runs smack-dab in the middle of Blake’s chest. Needless to say, she was in a tizzy and called her friend Bennett, who said she would be there with wine. Well, one bottle turned into one too many, and oh boy did she wake up with a roaring headache. Even with meds and water, she knew that she wouldn’t touch it. But what hurt more, was when she found out that her being spontaneous and irresponsible led to her using all her savings to bid on her dream auction home, but now she will not have any money to fall back on. Therefore, she will have nothing to fix up the house now, grrr!
What was she thinking? Oh yeah, she wasn’t. She was one shade to the wind all because she still allowed her ex to have full rein over her life. That's when her friend said she needed to get a handle on her life. She does, and she goes to check out the damage to her new life. In some areas, it was worse than she thought and in others, it was way better than she thought. But when she couldn’t turn off the faucet, she needed to run to the restoration hardware store. To find a new fixture before she had a nervous breakdown.
And guess who she finds there? Wyatt Sullivan of DI Wyatt, a home improvement show on YouTube. He needed a home to work on and live in while doing it, and she needed a house to be worked on and live in while it happened. Win-win, right!? Considering she loved watching Wyatt’s show, and she blamed him for making everything look so dang easy, she took him up on his time off from filming his show there. The how-tos and progress before and afters. And she would help him bring notoriety to his show and get people to notice him.
You will enjoy the two main characters as you see the progress of the house. How they nurture each other and raise each other up where they lack confidence. Their cast of friends and family you will love them just as well, too.
Don’t You Wanna Stay is the third book in the Men of Misfit Inn series. This is a stand alone romance, but many characters make cameos from previous books. Deanna has drunkenly bought a run down historical home and not only is she a little overwhelmed and worried, she knows she needs help. Wyatt comes to her rescue and immediately falls in love with the house. As they develop a working relationship, they form a friendship and working side by side opens trust and hearts. But when disaster strikes, more than the house is at risk. Will they swallow their pride and fix their mistakes, or is all hope and love lost?
I have to admit, I struggled in the first half of the book. I’m don’t watch HGTV and I’m not really into big home improvement stuff, and that’s what this book seemed to focus on quite a bit of in the beginning. I had to talk myself into reading through the lens of a romance and to focus on Deanna and Wyatt, and the second half of the book flew for me because I was invested in their success - as a couple, as individuals, with his/their show’s future, and even with this house! I’m so happy I stuck it through with this book, too, because I adored the ending! Deanna has lost bits of herself, is afraid to take risks, and has some baggage when it comes to her ex and her parents. I love how she opens up, starts to dream again, and starts to realize her worth. Wyatt is such a huge help to her. Not just with the house with his expertise and knowledge, but he’s so kind and caring and supportive and I loved that he really showed Deanna how good a couple can be together. They click, they work, there’s chemistry, there’s a connection, and I really enjoyed how they put each other’s dreams first. I liked this book! I loved how everything came together in the end! I look forward to what the next book will bring!
2.5 stars This was an okay read. Like a hallmark type book but not as cheesy/corny as others I’ve read that are similar to this book, so that was good. No real problems with it, mostly that it was a tiny bit boring. I did have to skim a lot after the halfway mark.
I liked Deanna. I liked Wyatt. They weren’t super memorable but not totally dull or without personality. They were both extremely hot of course and everyone else comments on it too making extra sure we know just how attractive they both are. Because, you know, you can’t just have regular people in a romance novel. They always have to be models. The romance wasn’t super rushed, but still quicker than I like. They started liking eachother at the same time and in the same way for no interesting reasons really. They were both pleasant enough and always did and said the right things so I guess that’s the reason they liked eachother. Nothing too exciting or different. With the dual point of view, there was never any mystery or surprises. We knew what both characters were thinking about everything the entire time.
I didn’t love then ending where they got in that sort of fight. Small spoiler but I thought it was lame that he wouldn’t rush to talk to her/try and make amends after their fight. I get that the author was going for the full effect of a big makeup and drew out the fight because of that, so the reunion could be better, but I just didn’t like it. I wanted to feel the passion of a guy not being able to wait to fix things with the girl he loves, no matter how busy he is. It makes him even more special if he’d have dropped everything to make amends right away even though he has so much going on. So maybe a different type of fight was needed or something so the distance felt more justified, but I just wanted to feel a desperation from Wyatt to do anything in his power to fix his relationship right away.
I totally loved this book. It was so much more than I thought I was going to get when I read the blurb for this book. It was brilliant, clever, and such a beautiful romantic love story. Wyatt is such a kind and charming man, he and his ways completely knock Deanna off her feet.
This book is so much more than a renovation of an old house. This is about mending not just that beautiful old house. But mending and a building back the woman that had been broken and battered down by so many people in her life. Seeing Wyatt brings Deanna out of her shell and making her become the person she has always been behind closed doors. Watching both of these characters change and grow was perfect. I think this book shows that with the right person in your corner you can fly.
This book is a huge recommendation from me. This is only the second book I've read by this author. But I can honestly say I love the flow of the storytelling that Kait Nolan produces.
This is another great southern romance story from author Kate Nolan. This time, YouTube house flipping star, DIWyatt, comes to the aid of Deanna James. She unexpectedly bought a huge house at auction, hoping to flip it herself, but on her first visit, she realizes that she might have made a huge mistake, especially when the plumbing proves less than cooperative. Rushing to the nearby Reclamation Station hoping to find advice, she instead finds Wyatt Sullivan who is more than willing to lend a hand. That accidental meeting morphs into so much more.
*sigh* I think most women would do anything to find a guy like Wyatt. He’s kind and courteous, caring and respectful, gentle and patient. He also has a problem or two that have haunted him since he was a child. Oh, and he’s one of Joan Reynold’s kids. The more I read about Joan’s kids, the more I wish she was real and that I could meet her. She was a remarkable woman.
Deanna has problems of her own, the biggest being her ex. They’ve been divorced for two years, but he still goes out of his way to make her life a living hell. She really didn’t need the house; her hands are over full with petulant and ungrateful country music performers. But like it or not, she had to deal with it all, and throw in her parents who have little faith in her or her abilities.
This book was a delight. The story line was creative, and the characters riveting. As always with this author’s books, I want more. Some new, at least to me, characters made appearances. I can only hope that they’ll get spinoffs of their own.
If you love southern romance, house repairs, and great characters, this is definitely the book you want to read. I highly recommend it.
I received an ARC of this book from the author through Booksprout. I thank all involved for their generosity, but it had no effect on this review. All opinions in this review reflect my true and honest reactions to reading this book.
Kait Nolan has done it again. Another great story of one of the Misfit Inn brothers. Wyatt is finishing up his latest renovation project and trying to find his next one. He likes to work on older houses that have good bones but need to be refurbished. Finding the right house is not always easy. He films these houses for a YouTube show that helps with the sales of his properties. Deanna works in PR in Nashville and has to deal with lots of stars with lots of demands. She has to do this in order to pay alimony to her ex-husband. She has dreamed of buying an older house that she can rehabilitate. One night as she and her friend, Bennett, are drinking wine and commiserating on some of Deanna’s problems, Deanna ends up buying a house she had found. But has she made a big mistake. She doesn’t know a lot about renovations and has no money, thanks to her alimony, for renovations. Deanna and Wyatt meet when a part of her faucet breaks. He agrees to help her and suddenly he finds his next project. Deanna finds she has a talent for designing furniture and other things for the house from found items and wood. She even helps Wyatt with some of his own PR and developing new means of putting his work out for people to see. Can they work together? Can they share the house? Deanna is not interested in another man after her ex. And Wyatt isn’t sure he needs any involvement with anyone. Great read. Wonderful story. Kait never disappoints.

After an especially stressful day that included dealing with her most difficult celebrity client as well as a run-in with her awful ex-husband, music publicist Deanna James spent the evening drowning her sorrows with her best friend Bennet. She woke up the next day to find that she had drunkenly spent her entire savings to purchase a house in an online auction. Deanna had always dreamed of fixing up a historic home, but not quite like this! With no money left for the renovations needed to make the house habitable, Deanna was at her wit's end until a chance encounter with Wyatt Sullivan, house flipper and host of YouTube home improvement show DIWyatt, presented her with an opportunity: Wyatt's help with the renovations in exchange for Deanna's PR expertise in building his brand in order for him to convince a major TV network to pick up his show. The only catch? Both Wyatt and Deanna would need to move into the house during construction to save money, making it difficult to resist her attraction to the handsome handyman.
Deanna and Wyatt were both incredibly likeable, relatable characters, and I loved how they supported and encouraged each other, especially Wyatt with Deanna's passion for design. He recognized her innate talent and believed in her even when she didn't believe in herself. Their relationship was definitely a slow burn, and while they didn't seem to have much in common at first, they ended up being more alike than they realized. Aside from their shared passion for historic homes, Wyatt and Deanna both had difficult relationships with their parents. They had to work through those issues from the past before they were ready to build a future together.
Overall, I loved "Don't You Wanna Stay" and highly recommend it for all contemporary romance readers. I look forward to the next book in the series.

This story is incredible. Deanna works with celebrities in PR. She doesn't like her job and much less having to pay alimony to her ex-husband. She's always wanted to buy an old house and build it back to what it was. When Deanna runs into her ex on her way home she doesn't want to do anything other than relax. The next morning she wakes up to an email about a house purchase she made. Deanna can't believe what's done. When she goes over to look at the house she freaks as a water faucet can't be shut off. Wyatt had a tough life growing up. His parents couldn't take care of him and was put into foster care. He was put into Joan Reynolds' home and later was adopted. His adoptive parents already had a son and expected nothing but the best from both their son and Wyatt. As Wyatt got older school began to get more difficult and his parents weren't happy. One day Wyatt and his brother went rafting and his brother got into an accident. Wyatt was feeling guilty when his adoptive mom told him something that he couldn't forget. The day Deanna runs into Wyatt, he is stunned by how beautiful she is. Wyatt agrees to help Deanna get her house back in working order if she allows him to film the whole process. She agrees and proposes to help him with some PR. What they aren't expecting is to feel sparks as they spend more and more time together. Will Deanna and Wyatt find a way to make a relationship work between them? I received a free copy of this book from the author and reviewed it voluntarily.
Wyatt is the host of a show call DIWyatt which he produces himself for an online following. Deanna one of my favorites is in PR for celebrities that think they can do no wrong, not show up and overall cause Deanna a lot of stress in her job fixing their mistakes. Deanna is also divorced from on of these up and coming celebrities. One night after a few drinks Deanna ends up buying a fixer upper which is something she has longed. After an unexpected water leak and a chance encounter with Wyatt they end up with a bit of a trade. Deanna will help Wyatt with PR for his show to get notices for the networks and Wyatt will help her fix up her new home. Things are sparking between them but both are afraid to admit to it because they are both hurt from their past. Once they admit feelings, get a shot at hosting a party for a network there is another massive water leak that destroys what have been completed. With only a week till the party they each think the other has given up after harsh words are spoken. Meanwhile neither is willing to give up on their dreams. In the end the network offer a change at a show, Deanna and Wyatt actually admit how they feel and end up in the dream house they designed. Lots of friends and family support in this book!

Rvcd an advanced reader copy from Booksprout for giving my two cents. I love Kaits heartfelt books. We met Wyatt and Deanna in previous books. Deanna is PR rep to the stars in Nashville and she's tired of it. She dreams of buying an old house and fixing it up but her jerk of an ex hubby is taking all her money for alimony. After a drunk fest with her bff...she reads her email congratulating her on winning....OMG...she drunk bought a house on an auction. What will she do..her parents already keep her kn a tight leash...this will send them overboard. Wyatt finished selling his latest house and now is in the need for smtg bigger to do!! His mtg with a producer didn't go so well. Oh well! Deanna is way in over her head...the house is amazing but needs A LOT of work but she can see thr end result but when has a mishap she ends up in front of DIWyatt!! Wyatt offers his help and when he sees the house its the job he's been looking for. Wyatt and Deanna come to an agreement to work together to get the house in order and sell for profit....but what happens if one of them changes their mind? Working with the sexy contractor should be no problem for Deanna..right? A great book full of drama, DIYs and witty humor.
I just love romance stories that make your heart swoon and believe in romance. Wyatt was one of the brothers from the Misfit Inn for awhile, and then was adopted. He loved his older brother, but hadn’t talked to his adopted mother for about three years. I loved the idea that he had a video series where he taught people to refurbish old homes. I really disliked Deanna’s ex husband and what he put her through. She was a PR person for some big names in country music, but hated her job. I loved how her best friend Deanna supported her, and some of the crazy things they did. Especially when they watched many of Wyatt’s videos and Deanna did something so out of character.
Luckily Deanna ran into Wyatt when she was looking at an old house to remodel. Wyatt volunteered to go look at the problem and help her. This was the beginning of a beautiful working relationship. It was so heartwarming how they both saw the best in each other and pumped each other up. Restoring the old home was not easy, but such a labor of love for both of them. I enjoyed catching up with some of the past characters. I loved the book and strongly encourage you to read it. I was given a copy and voluntarily wrote a review.
5 star review Don't You Wanna Stay (Men of the Misfit Inn Book 3) by Kait Nolan
Kait Nolan is a relatively new author to me, although what I have read I have enjoyed. When I read the blurb I knew I had to read and review this book as it intrigued me.
This was a quirky romance that had laughter and steam and was an easy read. I fell hard and fast for Wyatt Sullivan, he is totally swoon worthy and an all around great guy and Deanna James is a strong, feisty woman who deserved to find happiness and love. Wyatt is desperate to make his latest venture, a YouTube channel DIWyatt a success and turn it into a home improvement show, all he needs is a break. When he agrees to help Deanna fix up the old house she purchased in exchange for her allowing him to film the renovations, not only does she agree but Deanna offers to use her PR connections too. As the renovation become more and more involved it is obvious that there is a strong attraction sizzling between Wyatt and Deanna. Will they be able to ignore their feelings or is this renovation about to get complicated? Both have baggage, could they have finally found the person who will make them whole again? I loved this story and I will be checking out the other books in the series as soon as I can.
I have to say that I really loved this story, and could have kept reading it for days. Wyatt has spent his life proving that he's not a screw up, and he's hoping that he can take his YouTube Channel DIWyatt big time, but he's going to need something bigger to do so. Deanna has gone through a terrible divorce, and her ex is spending all his free time destroying her life in any way he can. After a night of too much wine, she wakes up to discover she bought a historic Victorian house that is a hot mess so she's got a lot of work to do if she wants to sell it again but she doesn't have enough money to do so. This is how Deanna & Wyatt end up meeting, and they come up with an idea, he'll do the job if he can film it so she will be able to afford it, and he'll be able to expand his career. Things take another turn when the powers that be decide it would be better if they were both in the house in the process, so the forced proximity definitely sets off some serious sparks. She needs an amazing man like him in her life because he's perfect for her, and frankly, perfect for my heart as well. So, in order to see how it all pans out, you'll have to hit those one click buttons as I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!
Kait Nolan’s most recent book, Don’t You Wanna Stay, is another great small town romance novel with a HGTV-esque close proximity twist. It’s the fourth installment of the Men of Misfit Inn series. Deanna James feels stuck in her life - in a job she doesn’t love, paying alimony to her ex-husband due to an unfair divorce settlement. Her parents look at her like she’s a walking disaster that never makes a good decision about her future. • Deanna finds herself the owner of a complete fixer upper in Tennessee- enter Wyatt Sullivan, popular YouTube contractor of DIWyatt. Wyatt feels stuck in some ways, too, and without a new project to tackle as he tries to show that he has what it takes to land a network show. As they work on the house together, sparks begin to fly - and they may just find exactly what they need in each other. • Deanna and Wyatt complemented each other perfectly and I was rooting for them from the very beginning! The book was a quick read and I found myself smiling throughout. It was pretty low-angst and I really enjoyed seeing some updates on previous Misfit Inn families, as well as being introduced to new characters, too.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
We are back with the children, now men and women, who were once fostered by a kind woman named Joan. This time the story belongs to contractor and YouTube fixer upper celebrity, Wyatt Sullivan and Nashville publicist for the rich and famous, Deanna James. Both have had personal struggles to deal with. One with a divorce that destroyed her trust in men, and parents that think she’s not focused in her life, and the other one feeling guilty about an event that changed his brother’s life as well as his attempts to bring his show to the networks. When Deanna buys a dilapidated house in the midst of a night of one too many glasses of wine and realizes she needs help, in comes Wyatt . He not only helps her but proposes a partnership. Wyatt also helps Deanna realize she is talented , while also showing her she can trust and depend on him. But what happens when a mishap occurs, hurtful words are said and a potential contract for a tv program is in danger? This was another touching story about family, friendships, hope, and second chances in life and love. I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
This is the third book in a series, but it can be read as a standalone. It is written in third person with an alternating dual POV. Wyatt and Deanna are both characters I have met in other books. I love that they get together and get their HEA. There are laughs, heart, romance, and heat over the course of the book. As a HGTV addict myself, I fully appreciated the task that they take on to renovate the historic antebellum mansion that Deanna buys by accident. I love the construction and renovation elements of the book. I love that they fall for each other while having mutual respect and reverence for the dream they share. Both characters grow and heal from past hurts over the course of their story. I love that they can see each other’s true heart. I adore the friendship they form along the way. The group of friends and chosen family is an important aspect to this book, and I absolutely love that. This is small town romance at its finest. If you too like a little fixin’ up, you should definitely grab this book. I am voluntarily leaving this honest review after receiving an advance reader copy of the book.
I totally loved this book. It was so much more than I thought I was going to get when I read the blurb for this book. It was brilliant, clever and such a beautiful romantic love story. Wyatt is such a kind and charming man, him and his ways completely knocks Deanna off her feet.

This book is a huge recommend from me. This is only the second book I've read by this author. But I can honestly say I love the flow of the storytelling that Kait Nolan produces.
Publicist Deanna James's dream has always been to find an antebellum home to restore. After a horrific night at work dealing with a temperamental country music star and later bumping into her ex-husband, Deanna spends a night drinking with her best friend. Deanna wakes up to find out that she has spent all her savings on an antebellum home that needs lots of work. After her kitchen sink faucet breaks and water is pouring into the sink, Deanna bumps into DIY YouTube star Wyatt Sullivan at the hardware store, who offers to help. Wyatt has been flipping homes as a one-man show online and would love to move his show to a cable network. When Wyatt sees Deanna's home, he spots a chance to make both of their dreams come true. The only issue is that they will both have to live there. This book is now one of my favorite stories by Kait Nolan. I love how Wyatt is able to see so many possibilities in the home and in Deanna. I appreciate how he is always looking out for her. I love how Deanna is such a strong and creative woman, who adds so much to the home. It almost makes me wish to try flipping a home myself. I also love how their relationship is strongly based on friendship before it develops in so much more. Even though there are a few steamy scenes, their relationship seems so sweet and solid. Wyatt is now one of my favorite book heroes.
Book 3 in the Men of Misfit Inn Series and what a great addition Wyatt Sullivan and Deanna James quirky romance is to this entertaining series. This one of those reads that’s will leave you smiling like a Cheshire Cat and it’s a great book to escape the world with. Wyatt is desperate to make his new YouTube channel DJWyatt a success and he hopes to eventually turn it into a reality improvement show but he needs a break, he needs a house to improve to show his potential so could Deanna’s house be the break he needs. Deanna needs help to fix up the old house she has just purchased and she agrees to let Wyatt film the renovations in exchange for his labour but what happenings when feelings come into play, will this win win situation turn into a complete disaster. You are going need to read the book to find that out. I fell hard and fast for Wyatt, I adored the strong and sassy Deanna but what took this book to another level was the interaction, the witty banter this couple shared as they learn to work together whilst trying to ignore the feelings they both have. The chemistry is scorching hot, the banter is witty and I highly recommend his gem of a read.
DIWyatt, I’ve been or your story! And to pair him with Deanna, who I remember meeting in the original Misfit Inn series, was great for this long-time fan. I really loved Wyatt as a person, selfless and encouraging to Deanna from the start of their friendship through everything from her difficulties with her job to her parent’s judgement. Wanna is a strong person, but she’s let people like her ex, her parents and some of her nightmare clients keep her from doing what she dreams of doing. But with Wyatt both by her side and having her back, she slowly realizes she can have that life. This is a slow burn romance, and I loved that, because I enjoyed their journey as partners and friends developing before their physical chemistry makes an appearance. I also love the cameos of family and friends from both Misfit series, coming together to lend a hand…like Joan would want them to. And for a gal who doesn’t watch home improvement shows, I’d tune into this one in a heartbeat! I love old houses and to watch one brought back to life, with improvements but keeping with the flavor of the times, was so much fun. Another great book by Kait Nolan!
