Continental Drift: Battle at the Puerto Rico Trench Genesis believes that the Western World and its allies are causing the 6th Mass Extinction of Earth’s species. Corrupt politics, wars, business greed, racism, and the quest to dominate the world’s cultures must stop.
Genesis believes that in an extraordinarily short period, humans have managed to negatively affect climate change, our oceans, and the air we breathe.
Genesis believe that they must fix this broken world…as God has done before. Genesis believe that they have been blessed with this mission by God.
Genesis' original plan failed. Now comes the new battle plan. This time the battleground is the deep ocean at the Mid-Atlantic Oceanic Ridge. Genesis will lure the enemy to the ‘Puerto Rico Trench.' This place is feared by the world’s naval commanders, volcanologists, geologists, and oceanographers. A gravity anomaly exists there that could accelerate the 6th Extinction.
Genesis is the reset button…destined to take us back to Pangaea. One continent, one faith, new currency and new world economy. ~~Supreme Commander
Something along the lines of an old villain pulp, as a high tech terrorist organization tries to create an extinction event by nuking the Mid-Atlantic ridge.
The head of the terrorists is something along the lines of an Islamic Sumuru. However, she's so busy drinking Syrian Coffee between killing underlings, I felt like she's underdrawn. A few more Sax Rohmer novels, and this could have been better.
I admit, this was a strange book. Until I realize that the author was inspired by Tom Clancy, I didn't quite get the military fiction. Once I figured that out, I was able to enjoy it a little more.
First, I have to give credit to the author - writing a book is no easy task, especially one as large and dense as this one. The author has clearly done extensive research on military and science issues, and that was all very interesting.
The book definitely needed an editor. The beginning especially is riddled with poor wording and typos. However, the creativity of the author and his ability to create many interesting characters, as well as a compelling, edge-of-your-seat story, is impressive.
Give the author a great editor, and I believe he could definitely produce something high quality!
Thank you for the opportunity to receive a free copy of Continental Drift. After reading some of the book I regretfully could not finish it. This is not my reading genre. Once again my gratitude for being chosen to receive Continental Drift. I have already passed it along to someone who enjoys this type of book.
This book started out so slowly for me that I set it aside and read a different book. I decided to try again and I found the book got better the more I read but at times it was so technically detailed that I would get bogged down again. It has a good story if you can read through the details and the bad grammar & sentence structure. I also was disappointed with the book ending and the story was not resolved. Another book in the works??
The sequel to Accelerant: The Sixth Extinction. Being honest I wasn't expecting an exciting fast moving thriller after having recently rated the first novel with three out of five stars. I am happy to report that James Morris Robinson blew my expectations out of the water. Non stop action with earthquakes, tsunamis and incredibly powerful hurricanes. This was so much better than the Sixth Extinction. One of the best novels I have read in quite some time. Powerful stuff. I hope the next in the series is published soon.
A terrorist organization plots to use nuclear weapons and technology to change the alignment of the continents and take over the world. They are quick to execute both their members and other people who get in their way. The nations of the world come together to fight them. The use of advanced technology is key in the strategies of both sides. An interesting look at how terrorists think. I recommend this book to people who like international intrigue. I received this book from Goodreads for free.
