I very much enjoyed this book after I got past the introduction of characters. As a retired Colonel in the US Army and law enforcement officer, you can tell this Author is writing from real life experience in some cases and has done a lot of research into the civil war time period. Although I occasionally struggled with the language which was specific to the time period, it made the story more believable and entertaining. This Author has included a fair amount of romance for us ladies as well. I can’t wait to read the next book and find out what happens to Logan MacArthur as they go on their next adventure. I encourage you to give it a read, you won’t be disappointed! If you have readers on you Christmas list, this might be worth giving, I know I bought several as gifts!
