I am a playwright and small business owner from New Jersey. After working as a script coordinator for a TV procedural, I was encouraged to start writing my own mysteries and discovered that I love cozies.

I have degrees in Theatre and Psychology, and an MFA in "Writing for the Screen + Stage." For hobbies I enjoy reading, playing board games, performing in children's theater, and frolicking with my rescue puppy Phoebe.

A wonderful addition to a delightful series! The storyline is refreshingly different and the mystery well plotted. I particularly like how the author has added depth to the characters in each successive book. In this book a character who has always been affable and laidback showed an angry side and a bit of a temper. Can't wait for another installment.

Penelope and Isla are still trying to outshine each other in a bid to take charge of the event planning company they work for. But when the company chefs boyfriend is accused of murder Isla helps out on the party Penelope is in charge of so she and the chef, Sam, can focus on trying to find the real killer.

Even though party planner, Penelope Wilks, is busy planning a birthday party she makes time to investigate when a friend is accused of murder. Especially as the police become more and more certain that her friend is guilty.

I enjoyed spending time with Penelope and the secondary characters. I enjoyed reading about the party planning preparations. I also enjoyed investigating with Penelope to help find the real killer. The recipe for the parfait at the end also sounded delicious.

Good book

Parties on the Pier gets neglected when there is a murder to solve. This time Stuart is blamed but Penelope and Sam solve the murder.

When Penelope's best friend Sam's boyfriend is accused of murder she is set out to find the real killer and still plan a great party.

Penelope and Sam really pick up the pace to solve this murder, and her Stuart released from jail. Penelope has a way of looking at clues that nobody else picks up on. I do recommend this book.
