With winning being her only goal, Harlow agrees to pair with National silver medalist, Bentley Wilson.

Honestly, this book just wasn't for me. I found the characters to be flat and the dialogue shallow and uninspiring. I wasn't engaged with the story at all. Perhaps it was because the way this story was told felt more like jumping from event to event without taking the time to explore how the characters got there. The author clearly had a lot of story that they wanted to tell, and perhaps what was clear in their mind just didn't make it fully to the page. Like I said, it just wasn't for me. Readers who are more interested in a fast paced, conversation-driven book that doesn't take time out for paragraphs of description may find they have an easier time loving these skaters.

Such a sweet story of love, loss and growing up! I really felt for the characters with everything they went through individually and together. D.C. Cook has such an easy to read writing style which I love about her books. I can’t wait to read what else happens in Chasing You!

I love to watch figure skating. In India, though we don’t much hear or read about skating. But this book Chasing Gold had have me reading it and I’m watching figure skating on YouTube since then.

This is a story of Harlow, a seventeen year old and her passion for her career in skating. Harlow wants to compete in Canadian National but in between she struggled between her high school, her personal life and also life on ice.

She almost ended her long term friendship with her best friend, Miles, when he decided that he doesn’t want to compete to National level and broke his arm.

Then comes Bentley, silver medallist from National he wants to be in the National and shares the same passion as Harlow but they have rough coming in terms to each other but to compete National, they’ve to trust each other both emotionally and physically.

As the story went by, they go on date and from then something happened between both of them.

This story almost feels magical and if you want to know what I’m talking about you need to read this book! I enjoyed and loved every bit of the book.

This book is going to grab your attention from the beginning and you just couldn’t put it down until and unless you’ve other activities to do.

If you’re a fast reader, you’ll most probably finish the whole book within a day or two for me it took a week! I’ll be in wait for Book 2 cause I really want to know what happens next?!? I loved the book cover so so much! Highly recommendable!

PS- I know this book is all about figure skating but trust me the author did an amazing job so to read this book you don’t need to worry about knowledge on skating as you’ll read you’ll find out.

Really want this series to hit the big screen!

Oh my, this book is bad. I don't even know where to start.

The characters are all awful. They're all two-dimensional with no personality. I couldn't tell who was speaking sometimes, but it didn't even matter. The main character is an absolute narcissist. So much so that I wondered if she could be diagnosed with a personality disorder. A major life event happens to another character and all she thinks about is herself. But for some reason we know her Tim Hortons' order every single time. On top of that, I've never seen people have the same conversation about their friendship—not relationship, friendship—so many times over and over again.

It's a book full of cringey dialogue and no actual scenes. It jumps everywhere at a breakneck pace and is incredibly difficult to follow. There's no proper description of what's happening. You can read the first 10 pages and the last 10 pages and you wouldn't miss a thing. All the main character's "obstacles" to get to her goal are so weak it's laughable. It's just bad. Don't bother

I was lucky enough to be a beta reader for this title.
Thank you D.C Cook 💜
I grew up watching my sister skate so I had some knowledge of figure skating terms but as someone who isn’t fully into figure skating it was a great combination of on and off ice. You don’t need to love skating to read this book, I loved the chemistry between the two characters. It was a nice easy read and I can’t wait to read the second one.
If you love contemporary teen you need to check out this author.

Ok, so I have been procrastinating this book. I received a copy early June.. the reason behind procrastinating is I’m not a huge fan of figure skating. I felt like I was not going to like the book… I was CLEARLY wrong!! I read this book in one sitting. I just couldn’t stop reading!! It kept me interest and invested!!! I love D.C. Cook’s writing!! She is one of those authors that I am going to have to buy all of her books!!!

Can not wait for book 2!!!!
