Sisters of Edgartown #6

The Hesson House

Rate this book
Another Martha's Vineyard August burns out into a shimmery autumn, as the sisters face more family secrets, lost loves, and future questions.

Olivia Hesson's great-aunt left her the dream of a lifetime -- an old-world mansion, which Olivia and her new boyfriend, Anthony, have transformed into an iconic boutique hotel called The Hesson House.

The grand-opening in July was a tremendous success -- and Olivia is certain that, with the right mindset, she'll be able to balance the hotel, her teaching career at the high school, and her newly budding relationship with Anthony.

But there are a number of questions, secrets, and struggles around the corner -- ones that just might make Olivia question every decision she's ever made.

Of course, the other Sisters of Edgartown -- Jennifer, Amelia, Mila, and Camilla -- have her back through it all.

Dive into book one of the Sisters of Edgartown: A heartwarming journey of friendship, loss, and love, and one that will make you fall in love with the Sisters of Edgartown and want the next book.

The Hesson House is book 6 in the Sisters of Edgartown series by Katie Winters, as we continue the story of the 5 remaining girls (aka Sisters).

Olivia is spreading herself to thin with the finishing touches before the grand opening of Hesson House, the problems that arise now that it’s open, going back to teaching high school, her daughter moving off the island for school and her relationship with Anthony…and wondering if she can have it all…

Dating, family, moving forward, frustrations, a hurricane, help from her “sisters” and finding true happiness is just some of what happens in this book! Can’t wait to see where Ms. Winters takes us in the next book!!

This is Olivia’s story, with lots of information about her daughter Chelsea. The dream has finally come true, and Olivia, and boyfriend Anthony have restored the historic Hesson House, Business is thriving and the inn is booked. Chelsea and her boyfriend Xavier are struggling to make a new life and make ends meet. A hurricane hits the island and the damage to Hesson House is devastating.

With repairs estimated to cost close to one million dollars, Olivia questions the future. Should her and Anthony rebuild, or move on?

Meanwhile will Chelsea’s relationship with her dad, is rocky, after he shows up on her porch in a drunken stupor.

Thank you to the author for an ARC. This review is my honest opinion.

Such a great story! What better way to start a story than with a hurricane (if you have ever lived through one of these - you know it's going to be a doozy of a story)! Olivia and Anthony and Hesson House are all in jeopardy after the storm - will be house be saved, what will happen to all of the friends in this story? The Chelsea plot line was also good - the boyfriend/dad/self drama left me questioning what would happen. Overall - Katie Winters just knows how to tell a good story and she always leaves you wanting the next book to come out ASAP. Definitely read this one.

Katie Winters continues the Sisters of Edgartown saga with a focus on Olivia and Anthony, who have restored The Hesson House and opened it as an elegant inn. Also prominent in the story are Olivia's daughter Chelsea, her boyfriend Xavier and Olivia's ex-husband, Tyler. Dreams can be destroyed for many reasons, but in this book, a terrible storm is the culprit. The wonderful thing about this series is that friends and relatives are a true lifeline. No matter how terrible the problem, things can improve. After reading Katie Winters' series, I actually feel like part of the family. The great thing about series is seeing the development of both characters and plot. This was a great story!

After inheriting her great Aunts mansion, going through the renovations, falling in love, The Hesson house is ready for guests!

While the Hesson House is off to a great start, Olivia is wearing herself thin, teaching full time & being a hotelier. And questioning everything in her life.

A huge storm leaves massive damage to Martha’s Vineyard, but where is the real major damage? In destroyed properties? Olivia’s relationship with Chelsea? Chelsea’s relationship with Xavier???

Another can’t miss read from Katie Winters!

The Hesson House by Katie Winters, the 6th of the Sisters of Edgartown, does not fail. I was surprised the series was going back to the Hesson House and then shocked at what happens. The resilience of the Edgartown sisters is alive and well, even into the next generation. Proof that tragedy can destroy or, in this case, you can come together and support each other through life. Great read. I can never wait to get back to reading to see what happens!

And the saga of the Heston House and their occupants continues. Just when things are looking up, Mother Nature arrives. Lots of ups and down to deal with but the Edgartown Sisters come to the rescue. Lots going on with Chelsea and Xavier. Looking forward to Christmas at the Henson House. I received this arc for an honest review.

Just finished Olivia's story, the Hesson House. Another story I loved. Olivia inherits an old mansion from her great Aunt and turns it into a boutique hotel. Shortly after it opens. Olivia faces a disaster. Will she be able to solve/fix what the disaster has left behind? Once again the sisters are there for her. I love the connection between these sisters (friends). It is fantastic to see how close they have remained since they were little. Their friendship is truly remarkable and really adds to each book. The next book is the last one in the series. I am going to hate to see such an awesome series come to an end.

The Sisters of Edgartown return with a bang….a hurricane on the Vineyard. Just after reopening The Hesson House, it sees major devastation as a hurricane roars through. Will all of Olivia and Anthony’s dream die? Witness the wonderful coming together of friends and family to try to help overcome the destruction. Another good story from Katie Winters.
