Seven years ago, Andrew Jackson Smith Jr. tried to take advantage of Gabriella Cucinotta, a relative of the sprawling Weaver clan. It didn’t go well for him – he ended up on the horns of a dilemma … or rather, the tines of a pitchfork. Gabby was arrested for murder in a case that divided the town of Nowhere, but found not guilty due to self-defense.
Things between the Weavers and Smiths have been tense ever since. Mostly, they do their best to avoid each other.
Until they can’t. Because Alexander Stephens Smith, Andy’s much nicer younger brother, is back in town after graduating from college back East. Nineteen-year-old Truly Weaver catches his eye during a trip to the store – and he catches hers. Love is in the air, much to the opposition of both their families. But Truly and Alex are not so easily deterred, and will go to great lengths to make sure love conquers all … whether their warring clans like it or not.
The Old West meets Shakespearean drama in the latest addition to the Romancing the Weavers series. TRULY will keep you reading and win you over!
Alex - recently returned from college in SC Truly - loves to cook, and lives the "family enemies son" I enjoyed reading this engaging trope of Romeo and Juliet with a much better ending and life lessons! This story is well written with unforgettable characters. Their story has a loving HEA!
Alex and Truly met at the store and fell in love, what was wrong with that? She was a Weaver and Alex was a Smith, with families who hated each other. But it all worked out in the end. Thank you, Ray Anselmo.
Truly and Alex story is one for the record books and I think it's one of the best top Weaver stories. A bit more involved than previous Weaver classics it covers all the bases.
While I may not always agree with the author's political viewpoints, (something I discovered during the last horrendous year) but Mr. Anselmo writes out stabding , compassion stories
Parents not wanting their kids hearts to get broken, but end up breaking their hearts themselves. Weavers are very protective of their own, sometimes too protective. Good clean romance.
A good clean historical romance: The Smiths and the Weavers are like the Hatfields and McCoys in their time, but love conquers all. I really love the Weaver stories and would recommend them.
I just love me some Weaver action! I've been so pleased with this series. I always enjoy visiting with one of my favorite families. Another great love story.
A twist to the theme of Romeo and Juliet warring parents and blooming love. A dash of Weaver traditions and a lot of spunky loud family make a delightful read. Well done.
