I'm done with romance. Done with men, human or other wise. Especially alien warriors like Grothar the Scourge.
Ruthless. Heartless. Terrifying.
He's happy to tell everyone that. They all believe it. I'm just not so sure. If he's the cruel space pirate he claims to be, I've got some questions... Why is he so protective of me and the children in my care? Why does the sight of his muscled, red body make my breath catch? And why does his touch make something in my chest flutter?
Alien Warrior with Benefits is a fast and funny, action-packed steamy science fiction romance. No cheating and a guaranteed HEA for our couple. (Just don't tell Grothar.)
Reader, dreamer and frantic scribbler. I really do believe that love conquers all... and make terrible things for my characters to survive to prove it! (insert evil laugh here)
I volunteered to read and review an advanced readers copy of Alien Warrior with Benefits . This story is entertaining from start to finish . I really enjoyed reading this story . Captain Gothar and his crew take over a Freight ship . Gothar finds himself with more than a bounty . Relia a human is nanny to three Alien Children on the Celestial Mule . When Gothar and his crew capture the ship the Captain escapes leaving his children and Relia behind . Soon Gothar takes the children and Relia aboard his ship . He really finds he has his hands full in more ways than one . Gothar finds the Relia is his mate before he can desire what to do . The children and Relia attempt to escape . Which it turns into quite an adventure for all of them . This story is delightful and entertaining . Keeps you turning the pages I highly recommend taking the time to read .
DNF - quit at 5% It’s hard to take this story seriously or even want to read it when the male character seems so much of a pirate cliche (especially with all the “pirate speak” being used) & a bumbling idiot when it comes to the children. Definitely not my cup of tea.
At my age (approaching 60), life is way to short & my time is to important to force myself to read a book I'm not enjoying, especially when there are so many other books out there waiting to be read.
There were a lot of things I liked about this book. Plenty of action, very funny banter, and a couple steamy scenes were all great. The problem was the flow of the plot for me. Part of what makes action impactful is when it’s ebbing and flowing, but this book was more like a machine gun volley of action back to back without a mental pause which actually took a bit of the I,pact out if it for me. Would give this author another read though.
This book made me belly laugh so hard I cried. Gothar the scourge pirate boarded a vessel and found the human nanny Relia with three squishy wards who are a stitch! I loved all these characters especially the children in this entertaining story line and the passion filled HEA. I am voluntarily leaving my review of this ARC.
This book had me giggling and some actual laugh out loud moments. I loved Relia she cracked me up with her sarcasm and her conversations with Gothar. The children made this book though. You can help but love them and their ingenuity. I definitely recommend this book for those that like some humor and fun right alongside there romance. So much fun!
Sexy, funny, and full of action, there are a lot of laugh-out-loud moments in this book! The build-up to the romance was really well orchestrated and the side characters, the kids, were the best characters in the book. The action moves fast, and the plot is highly engaging. I stayed up too late to finish it!
This book has it all! Relia is the nanny to three adorable, precocious, crazy children and their ship is boarded by pirates. Gothar spends the entire book battling Relia and the children and battling crazy creatures. It was absolutely non-stop action. It was funny and I dare you not to smile and chuckle out loud. I would love to see another book like this!
I liked the book for the first couple of chapters, but then the kids got in the way. They overtook the storyline and frankly made it irritating. I started skipping parts with them in it as they were just so annoying. I will read another book by this author, but if there are kids in it I will skip it.
When a notorious well known pirate, a kind hearted human, and three mischievous, resourceful alien kids, meet up, disaster is not far behind. Get ready for an explosion of laughs, even through the danger, from start to finish.
The captain pirate has led a rather dictator type of existence and the idea of a heartmate is not in that pervue. Then the incredibly precocious children wriggle their way into his heart.
Start with a pirate with a big ego but kind heart. Toss in a tough human nanny and 3 adorable alien children. Seaon with a shipwreck and monsters. A great romantic feast.
Dnf at 5%. The "big bad alien pirate" is immature and a downright airhead. Not to mention, the kids were really annoying. I'm only giving this 3 stars because the h had a backbone. I cant stand stories with a meek h.
Love the humor and the characters I thought it was a bit much after the crash on the planet something always trying to kill them in such a short time but otherwise a good book
Yay! Totally an action adventure with quite a few chuckles along the way! These alien kids are awesome! I read it straight through. I just couldn't put it down!
