These 70% finishes are for the birds

So I've started to notice since book 3, the author is only writing 70% of the book. This is driving me up the wall. As important as the diary entries were, she started off with just a short chapter. Now they are consuming 30% of the book. Many times the main story abruptly stops, to say to be continued. I've seen this tatic before, where authors do this just to make more money by adding a bunch of little books. The book is only 100-120 pages, but the storyline stops on like page 85. Some of these most definitely could've been combined and made this a solid 3-4 book series.

The only reason I'm still reading is because, I actually like the plot. It's written well. I'll finish the series, but hesitant to read anything else by the author. I can't stand when half of the book is nothing but fluff. I DNF the diary entries at the end.
