I voluntarily reviewed a arc of this book.
Katie is a journalist who wants her boss to take her seriously so she comes up with a idea to get a personal interview with Sean a hard partying bad boy football player. But what Katie doesn't expect is to actually like Sean and see a side no one has. Sean sees something different in Katie so he starts to let his walls down only to find out she was never who she said she was.
This was a steamy & quick read

If you like sports bad boys and sports romances this book's for you. The main hottie is football star Sean who is quite a player on the field and off. Kate's a sports journalist who's magazine is banned so she takes matters into her own hands and goes undercover. What happens when she falls for Sean? What happens when her identity is exposed? What happens when she finds out his 'real' story? What happens when her heart gets involved? The characters were likable, fun and well developed. The story line was entertaining and a fun read. Mia Ford never ceases to amaze me as a writer. This was a free book that i read via Booksprout and voluntarily chose to review. A great read that you don't want to miss.

First, let me start off by saying that Mia's stories is so worth the read.
Katie and Sean were from two different sides of life. One was a partying playboy who is running on steam in life and on the field. The other aspires to be more than just a fluff journalist for a Sports Magazine. She has her sights set on getting the big story out of the bad boy, Sean. In order for her to get close enough to get an interview, she has to lie. With a little help from her friend Dru, she heads off to a night club where Sean is known to frequent. A little flirt, a little dance, turns into orgasms on the dancefloor, with clothes on.
The normal write ups about Sean put him in a really bad light and it takes more than the bad boy image to get back on his feet. Katie is that person who can write the story that they both want, until Sean's PR person, recognizes her at the hospital. Forced to leave, Sean and Katie are left heart broken. But months later, Sean hears about the shiny reviews about his past on a sports channel. Looking up on the internet, he finds the story everyone is talking about. The one that Katie said she would write about.
What would you do when someone comes into your world and shakes it up? Especially, when a journalist lied about who she was. Can Sean forgive her?

Not everything is fair play when you are off the field
Fair Play is a classic love story between a bad boy sports star and a beautiful young sports reporter looking for a story to break her career open. Sean Donovan is a receiver for the King's NFL team. To say he has a bad boy reputation is putting it gently as this bad boy more than lives up to that reputation with all his off field behavior. Kate Asher is a sports reporter looking to do an interview with Sean but she is shut down. But she has a plan and that involves pretending to be someone she is not and tempting the fates as she is not going to play fair.....but then again neither does Sean off the field.
This novella was a fun read with a lot of heat and "action". I liked both characters as they run their own games on each other to see just who will get the winning touchdown. As they say "everything is fair in love and war" and these two are playing at both ends of that saying. The question is just which one will they win at in the end, love or war?

Sean Donovan runs fast on the field and parties hard. He goes to clubs and gets drunk and sleeps with beautiful women. He is the notorious bad boy. Kate Asher is a sports reporter. He boss believes sports writers should be men. He gives her puff peaces. She tries to talk to her boss about an interview with Sean. They are banned from the stadium. Their press passes were revoked. Kate had an idea to pose as a reporter for Playboy magazine. Kate tries to avoid Sean’s pr who might see her. Kate ask Sean to do a personal interview. He wants to know what makes her different from the others. He sees something in Kate where he shows her things no one else sees. They become close. Kate is different when she is with him. Sean’s best friend on the team tells him to clean up his act so he doesn’t lose his spot. Sean gets hurt and Kate shows up at the hospital only to be spotted by his pr who gives Kate’s real name. She is told to stay away. Kate wrote her article about Sean that turned his image around and helped her paper get their creditals back. Sean fell hard for Kate. This is a good story. Loved it!

Kate is a journalist and wants to be a real journalist not a tabloid one. When she asks her boss about doing a good profile piece on Sean her boss said she couldn't because they has been banned from the stadium and she'd never get close to him. So she goes to her friend to come up with a plan. They do up fake press credentials for another business and use them to get close to Sean. Sean is a playboy and use to getting whatever he wants. When he meets Kate its like an instant connection between them even though she's is lying to him about who she is. She gets to see a side of him that she didn't know existed and it has her falling for him. However what will happen when he learns about her lying to get close to him? Can Sean forgive her for lying to him?
This is a great story that will hook you in the first chapter and leave you wanting more with the last one. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

This book brings us Kate Asher (Katie Holmes) and Sean Donovan. Kate is a journalist who works for a sports magazine, whose editor believes that women should not be sport reporters. Kate's work is always put towards the end of the magazine or sometimes not even published. She asks her editor if she could do an expose on Sean and find out who he really is, other than the football, party boozing, drug taking jerk that is usually written about him. However, in order to get this interview, she changes her name and the magazine she works for. Sean is attracted to her as well as she is attracted to him. Things get intense very quickly and when Sean finds out about Kate's lie, he is devastated. Will they get back together? You must read to find out. This is a great read and I highly recommend it. I did receive an arc for an honest review.

A notorious bad boy who partied hard...sex drugs and rock and roll numerous videos of his threesomes and then some out there for all to see
Coming up with a pseudonym and a fake business card, Kate managed to get close to Sean, to see the side that no one cared enough to report about. But she did. They spent an amazing couple of days together and she got the story that was worth reporting but when Sean was injured and her true identity was made known they both ended up hurt. Sean because of her lies, Kate because she really like the man he truly was....
An enjoyable sports romance that ticked all of the boxes and left you with a feel good factor :-)

Ser periodista de deportes siendo mujer no es una tara fácil, los hombres creen que no te tomas enserió tu carrera así como que no puedes saber más de fútbol que ellos. Y los jugadores solo creen que eres un buen cuerpo al que meter mano o que tienes esa carrera paga tener una larga lista de amantes deportistas a tu disposición.
Trabajar con un tipo que no valora tu trabajo es lo peor, Kate tiene la idea de mostrar todas las facetas del deportista Sean no sólo el chico malo y jugador de oro en la que todos los medios y la gente en general lo encasillan.
Sean no puede dejar de pasar la oportunidad de tener a esa linda reportera en sus manos y aunque en un principio lo único que piensa es llevarla a la cama pronto se da cuenta, que ella realmente quiere que todo el mundo conozca al verdadero Sean que hay más en el que solo fiestas y un buen juego.

Kate is a journalist who is desperate for her boss to take her seriously, and she goes undercover to meet party by, football star Sean. It does not take Kate long to see through the façade that Sean shows to the world, and she slowly knocks down the walls around his heart. What will happen though when Sean finds out who Kate really is? This is a well written tale which is a quick and fun read, with engaging and relatable characters, emotions, and is a steamy and all-consuming tale. I was hooked throughout, and I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I recommend for all.

Sparks fly between them when they meet and everything seems to be going well,until Sean gets into an accident and the truth about Kate's identity is revealed.
Throw in a tyrannical boss,secrets and romance,you get a full-packed drama.

Great Quick Read!
If you are looking for a great quick read, this is the answer! Kate is looking for a great story to write for the magazine she works for, but her boss isn’t very encouraging to his female employees and the fact that the whole publication is banned from the King’s stadium makes it hard to get the interview she wants. Through a little scheming, she manages to find a way in, but will it be worth it when the truth comes out. Loved the way this story unfolds and is well worth reading!

Awe.. excellent story!!
Loved this!!! Truly enjoyed every bit of Sean and Katie’s love story. He’s a big time football player. She’s a reporter looking to write her big story and get noticed. Katie uses deception to get close, but Somehow, it all turns real. And the feelings they have, the true people they are, win out in the end. My only problem with the story was it was too short. I felt there should be more. The way it ended I was looking for an epilogue. But there wasn’t any. That was m only disappointment. Plus I do love anything this author writes.

An aspiring sports writer, Kate wants to get the big story. Sean is a hot football player who simply wants Kate, only she's not a one night stand kind of girl. Loved this short and easy read - there were some omg moments that stopped me in my tracks and made me read it again, just to make sure. Funny, sexy, and a very enjoyable quick book. I'd highly recommend it. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Fair Play is the funny, sexy, well-written story of Kate, a female sports reporter and Sean, a bad boy football star. I liked the characters a lot and found this book to be very entertaining. Kate and Sean's steamy romance is a great read and I really enjoyed it. Mia Ford is a new to me author and I am looking forward to reading more. 4.5 Stars.

Kate is an aspiring sports writer and wants an interview with the hot football player Sean and she’s willing to do just about anything to get it..including going under cover. Sean is a player on the field and off and when him and Kate meet sparks fly between them. What will happen when Sean discovers her real identity? A short and steamy read and one I highly enjoyed.

Great story.
Sean & Katie's story was hot but also sweet with him showing her his life behind the play boy image. It was as if they were meant to be only when she started out with the lie she didn't imagine falling for him but when her secret was discovered it devastated Sean putting a stop to any chance of a happy ever after as he'd fallen for her aswell.
I couldn't put it down & I loved Dru (Kate's friend) she had me laughing from the start & Leon (Sean's friend) had his back.

This is the story about Kate and Sean, told in the dual, first person point of view of the story which is always a deal breaker for me. This was another great delivery from this author. Amazing storyline, great characters and the story that pulled me in and held my interest. I read this one in one sitting. 5 stars.

This was quite the romance. It was fast paced and a bit of an eye opener as Sean really does live a life of debauchery until he meets Kate. Kate is also a bit cutthroat in the beginning but turns out to be pretty good. They do have a lot of chemistry together and the story is entertaining.

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed this story about Sean and Kate. She's a journalist looking for her break. She writes fluff sports pieces and wants to do something important. She suggests interviewing Sean, agrees turned down. Sean is the star receiver and a playboy. Kate decides to play the game and dress accordingly. They hit it off but a lie might cause a play foul.

I enjoyed the story and held my breath when Kate started with her lies...Alls well that ends well... The book is sensual and sexy, but also has a lesson for everyone...that is if you can get past the sizzling hot scenes. There is always more sides to a person and their story than meets the eye. Good read.

This story was steamy, sweet, romantic and fun to read. 😍😍😍Kate and Sean met while meeting for an interview. Little did Sean know that it would change his whole life. The hard partying and his excessive behavior finally stopped 👍👍 Insta love with a sweet HEA.😉 For me personally too much MW vibe, but thats just my opinion 🤷♀️😉
