The movie 'Onnumuthal Poojyam Vare', released in 1986, was Raghunath Paleri's debut direction work. He wrote the original script of the movie based on his own novelette 'Aakashathekoru Jalakam', published in one of the annual issues of Malayala Manorama. The novelette was later translated into Kannada, titled 'Aakasha Jalaka', by Sri KK Nair. This book includes both the original novelette and the script of the movie along with a few notes about some important views of the author. Raghunath Paleri is an Indian novelist, screenwriter, director and actor from Kerala. He has directed three films—Onnu Muthal Poojyam Vare, Vismayam, and Kanneerinu Madhuram—as well as eight episodes of the television series Bible Ki Kahaniya. He entered the Malayalam film industry in 1978 and has worked with the Tamil film industry as well.
