Dating Season #4

Winter Bloom

Rate this book
They say winter is coming… and thanks to Logan, I am too.

If the past year has taught me anything, it’s that I am an idiot. Between The Incident, the upcoming nuptials, and finding a new place to live, I’m about ready to find a cave to hibernate in. Nearly murdering the lead singer of my favorite local band really should have been on everyone’s bingo card.

Their drummer going from medic to love interest was a plot twist I didn’t expect.

Logan has all the things I’ve been looking for--the newness of spring, heat of summer, comfort of fall, and the distraction I’d like. It may not be the traditional third date, but I’m bringing him to my best friend’s wedding anyway.

Charlotte’s not the only one who can lock a good time down.

Episode four of six in the laugh-out-loud Dating Season series.

I can’t get enough of Chloe’s dating adventures and Logan just may be my favorite to date!

I love how far Chloe has come since the beginning of this adventure and I can’t wait to see where things go for her. I was rooting for Chloe and Austin, because who doesn’t love a friends to lovers story, but Logan may be slowly winning me over.

It is funny times for Charlotte’s wedding and I was not expecting to die of laughter while reading that entire scene. Chloe and Charlotte are definitely friendship goals. I love the Logan knows Chloe can be a spicy disaster, yet he still wants her.

I can’t wait to see where things go next with Chloe and her adventures.

If you’re looking for a fast paced, quick, hilarious rom com check this one out.

5 Star Review of Winter Bloom (Dating Season #4) by Laurelin Paige and Kayti McGee

This addition to the series, sees Chloe dating Logan. Could she have finally found the man of her dreams? Laurelin Paige and Kayti McGee’s writing is seamless, I never know where one stops and the other takes over or who writes which characters.
Even those these books are short, they are packed full of entertainment. There is plenty of heat and humour and I was invested from the first to the last chapter. Taking Logan to Charlotte’s wedding is tempting fate but what’s the worst that could happen?
As Chloe continues to struggle with her feelings for Austin and Logan, who will win out?
There were times when I laughed, times when I thought “oh no”. Of course this book does end in a cliff hanger and I for one cannot wait for the next book to release.

Another awesome read by Laurelin Paige and Kayti McGee! I thoroughly enjoyed reading more about Chloe & her dating adventures. Logan is so swoon worthy! I have my fingers crossed that he will be Chloe's HEA. But alas, another cliffhanger. This one was so good. I'm chomping at the bit for Spring Fever. I need it now!

"I absolutely devoured this next installment in the Dating Season series. Chloe has come a far way from the first novella. She is still a hot mess at times but she is trying so hard to focus on the bigger picture. Logan seems to be the first boyfriend to get her whackiness and I honestly think he finds it endearing. The whole thing with Austin looks like it’s either going to come to some sort of conclusion or it could possibly even heat up??? I have given up trying to second guess how this series is going to play out I’m just going to sit tight and go along for the ride.
On an added note - the wedding was hilarious and I had tears rolling down my face it was that funny. Highlight of the story. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book." ~Sharon

This series just keeps getting better. Book #4 is great. I consumed it as fast as I could! I don't know what's going to happen but I am excited to find out!! I'm rooting for Chloe, but I'm not sure about Austin anymore. Maybe Logan? Who knows! Cannot wait for the next installment. ~Andrea

Winter Bloom by Laurelin Paige and Kayti McGee continues the hilarious entertainment fest of Dating Season series but this story also tugged at my heart. Like the cold dry and empty season, Chloe's life is going through a change but I honestly hope Logan the Drummer brings warmth and joy in her bruised heart!

Now this is how it feels to get my heart divides into two. Like Chloe. I know she is not over roomate/best friend/crush Austin yet and there is something fairy tale like thinking Austin finally realize his real feels. But my other half also wants her to find happily ever after with a man who put him first. Like super hot, responsible, sweet, charming and just all over perfect Logan. I love the way he looks at Chloe. Like he wants to devour and worship her at the same time. This book had a lot of introspection from Chloe's side. Her best friend Charlotte is getting married. Her pottery business is off the ground. She feels now is the time to let her old feelings go and move on..but what about all these mixed signs from Austin? I just cannot wait to see what happens next. I just want Chloe to find her forever love!

Winter Bloom is a short, witty and steamy read but it's not short in emotions! Laurelin Paige and Kayti McGee did an amazing job again.

I reviewed an early copy voluntarily

Ok, so this cliffhanger, this one got me. Up until now, knowing this is a serial story, I have been ok with them. But this one got me.

I think because, out of all of the stories, I think we got the most growth in our loveable Chloe. Yes, she's still kind of a mess, and things (all the things) happen to her, often one right after the other, but in this one, she really grows. A lot.

Things happen, and I think it's the things around her that cause this growth; watching a close friend get married; learning that someone else considers you a friend when you had never really thought about it, and letting go of those things that really should be in the past because they aren't going to go anywhere in the future.

Logan is also really great for her, as he likes her for her. He sees the disaster she is...heck, she almost kills the lead singer of his band (in the most Chloe way possible) so he KNOWS what she is like, but wants her anyway. And, that gives her, I think, the confidence to see things, and events, and her life, in ways she hadn't before.

And, she grows up.

And, just like in real life, something happens while you are busy making other plans.

I loved this book, and I can't wait for the next one. And, yes, you need to read all of them.

This episode of Chloe's dating adventures finds her trying to rid herself of major guilt. While trying to atone for her actions in the last episode, her well meaning intentions almost end in disaster. Lucky for her, she meets Logan, a sweet, kind, sexy man who helps her feel normal, rather than a bad person who makes mistakes. There is an ease to being with him, they enjoy being together, having fun, along with some very hot sizzling passion! Chloe is also helping Charlotte with her wedding, while trying to avoid Austin and Lucy and all their PDA. There are so many hilarious moments, and some tender moments as well, as Chloe tries to navigate a new life that may not include her best friends anymore. I love this series and Chloe so much. She is so relatable as she tries, and sometimes fails epically, to make a happy life for herself. She is so afraid of being alone, and left behind, as her friends find love. But she is so much stronger than she realizes at times. Winter Bloom drops another shocker at the very end! I have loved the direction each of these stories have taken, and I can't wait to see where it goes from here in the next episode, Spring Fever!

I loved this one!! Book 4 in Chloe's dating adventures.
Date/Boyfriend 4
Logan is definitely my favorite by far. A hot rocker with a sweet side. They just clicked it was easy. They have all sexy times but have touching moments. His little niece added a whole new level to her relationship experiences.
Is he the one??
But that ending Oh Lord what does that mean for the future. My feelings are as mixed up as hers. I can't wait for the next one

So the kiss happened. What will Chloe do next?

Will she poke shiny haired Lucy’s eyes out with a sharp stick? Pull her shiny hair? Hump Austin? Please let her hump Austin. Please let there be more kisses.

Or will they decide not to talk about it again and Austin tell her he’s moving in with Lucy? Stop the bus, I’m getting off.

Winter is all about Logan. Drummers have lots of rhythm and drumsticks. Oh those drumsticks!

The day of Charlotte’s wedding to Mr Charlotte and we actually find out his name. Comedy genius!

Chloe starts her search for a new roommate and trying to let her heart get over her crush on Austin. There are more gummies, no bacon legs but there is hilarity and fun history facts.

I love adventures with Chloe. And drumsticks. I do want to poke Lucy’s eyes out with a sharp stick and pull her very shiny hair.

Absolutely loving this series. Chloe is seriously trying to move on with her life and put Austin in the friend zone. But that kiss left us hanging.

Winter Bloom was fun, we get Charlottes wedding and Chloe gets a hot drummer called Logan. He’s everything she’s been looking for….. so now we have a dilemma!!! I’ve wanted to kick Austin’s Ass to get with the programme and tell her how he feels, but now I’m rooting for Logan too. Total quandary! Someone’s going to get hurt.

And then you go throw that curve ball at us with that ending. OH COME ON!!!

Love it. Bring on Spring Fever

Speechless!! I am rooting for Chloe to find her person and Logan is pretty awesome but that ending has me GIDDY! August can’t get here soon enough😱

Pretty smooth quotes from Logan:
“My heart is broken,” Ben says with a pout. I move over to check out his problem. “No. It’s just a tiny crack.” You’ll have many more, little guy. “Broken hearts are the best kind, bud,” Logan says. “Whoever you give it to will know to take good care of it.” Gah. That should be written in the universe by-laws.

“Speakeasies are my new favorite thing,” I say outside. “I think you might be mine,” he says. Well, that’s probably the best thing any guy has ever said to me.

Winter Bloom
(Dating Season #4)
Written by: Laurelin Paige & Kayti McGee

Chloe’s live version of Clue (that almost killed the lead singer of Scarlet Letter with Almond Milk hot chocolate in the break room) might have just introduced her to the next man in her life. She’d probably never thought of dating a drummer, but Logan, he was hot and funny and in band and the drummer!

This might be the one! So we make our way through the laughs, the changes in Charlotte’s wedding and the fact that Lucy is back. I will be honest, I’m not sure I like Lucy.

There is so much character growth for Chloe in this book, don’t get me wrong it is still a funny story, but Chloe is making some good life choices right now. Along with those good choices though there is some heartbreak, disappointment and business/personal growth for Chloe and don’t forget there’s Logan. Logan is a hot, doting uncle who can cook – heavens he rivals Austin!

With some non-stress dates with Logan and the wedding on track and a potential move Winter Bloom might just be the story that helps Chloe move on from the kiss (see the end of Fall Hard) and the long time crush on Austin. Then again this is Chloe so really who knows what is going to happen!

I’m still kind of rooting for Chloe and Austin to confess their eternal love for each other over sandwich making though…now we wait yet again for book 5.

I loving this series of quick reads written by the very talented Laurelin Paige and Kayti McGee, I have no idea who has written what and that’s a sure sign of a great writing duo. These books may be short but that doesn’t mean they aren’t entertaining and I’m sure like me you will be captivated by every instalment. Chloe is still struggling with her feelings for Austin and Logan and taking Logan to Charlotte’s wedding could be tempting fate. Will Logan win her love or will Austin still be lurking in the background when it comes to Chloe’s feelings…..
I love the friendship Charlotte Chloe share and I’ve loved joining Chloe on the dating scene but we ate still none the wiser as to who will win her love and that’s means a cliffhanger and excitement fot the next instalment Spring Fever. This is a fun, entertaining, steamy read that I highly recommend.

So far this is my favourite of the series. Any Author who can take a rom-com and make me teary gets all the stars and that's exactly what Laurelin Paige and Kayti McGee did. One minute I was rolling around in the lovefest that was Chloe and Logan and the next I was tearing up. Honestly, what's going on here. Austin and Lucy are moving in together and Chloe has to face the realisation that the 'kiss' was just something that happened. Austin has found his HEA with Lucy and that's that. Enter Logan. He is just so perfect for Chloe. He's the total package and then some. He is the one for our Chloe. We all know he is we just have to hope that Chloe knows it too and maybe just maybe she does. Her HEA is so so close. Well, that's until Austin drops the bombshell of the century. I finished Winter Bloom having mixed feelings about Austin and wondering if he deserves her. At this point I want her to be with Logan. Laurelin Paige and Kayti McGee have got me in a real pickle over Chloe, Austin and Logan and I love it!

Chloe has definitely hit a groove…

She has FINALLY met someone that she truly likes - and he truly likes her back!!! Logan is a drummer in a rock band, but shows he has a sweet side when he is with his niece. And BONUS: she didn’t meet him through the app!

This is also a turning point in her life - her best friend Charlotte is getting married. It is making Chloe think more about the future and what she wants. She is also coming to grips with the Austin and Lucy situation, and is trying hard to let go of her crush on him. But watch out for that twist!! I can’t wait to find out what happens next.

Even though the books are on the short side they are well worth it. This series keeps on getting better and better. In Winter Bloom we find Chloe dating Logan who is a drummer and watches his niece every now and again. He brought his niece in to Chloe's workplace for a make a Valentine session. Chloe thinks that he could be the one even if he so happens to kind of look like Austin. However according to Chloe since Logan is a few months older then Austin he is the original one. I cannot wait to find out what comes next for Chloe in the following book.

I love Chloe’s dating adventures and they just keep getting better and better. And Logan, I fell for him so hard. He’s a sexy drummer who definitely knows how to use his drumstick if you know what I mean! The steam factor is high between Logan and Chloe and I’m all for that. I’m totally rooting for them and I can’t wait to read Spring Fever.

Gah I love Logan! And I really want to throatpunch Austin. He just infuriates me to no end. Logan is the sweetest and I’m totally rooting for him. Not rooting for Austin at all.. nope, not this girl......... sigh. Okay, maybe a little bit. Dang it ladies! Once again I had to force the loud laughter down so I didn’t wake anyone up. So many amazing and funny moments. I can’t wait to see what she gets up to next.

Might return to this series later. But for now, it’s a DNF @ 7%. Borrowed from KU.

You will not understand my review if you haven't read any of the books because it does have insider jokes and information - but not spoilers.

I've always been #TeamAustin ( I know that's bad because of Lucy) but...now I'm totally #TeamLogan, I love Logan. I haven't liked any of the others (Uber guy's, Roger, trophy ceremony is hilarious). But I love Logan! A lot of this I know doesn't make sense if you haven't read this series so...Go READ It and pass me some gummies. Charlotte's wedding day is here and not only do we see her get married but we get to finally know Mr. Almost Charlotte's name (was that driving anyone else crazy) I know why it was a secret now. So once again Go READ It I guess the point of my review is to inform you on all your missing out on! These books are hilarious - the Paige/McGee duet is one of the best writing duos EVER! These books are hide in your closet, laugh out loud, peed your pants laughing books and definitely a guide on what not to do on a date. Grab Your Copy Now!

The story keeps getting better. This book is part of a 6 book series that don't necessarily end with cliffhangers, but its not the complete story. We follow Chloe through seasons as she works her way through men, trying to find her Mr. Right, all the while trying to get over the long time crush she has on her friend slash roommate. In the previous books, the new relationships never lasted and ended before the book was over... this one is a little different, as the current love interest hasn't shown any red flags, but her relationship with her roommate changes. There is sexual content and a teeny bit of angst. There are laughs throughout. Its a quick read (more along the lines of novella length.) It's a fun story, with appealing characters. Overall, the series is an enjoyable read, and you'll be pulled in by Chloe and her struggles with unrequited love. It's written from her POV entirely. Suitable for mature readers.

Laurelin Paige and Kayti McGee just dropped a bomb that left me trying to pick my jaw up off the ground. Now, we have to wait patiently for the next installment. That's just dirty...LOL!

Winter Bloom finds Chloe trying to process the aftermath of her kiss with Austin while he moves full steam ahead in his relationship with Lucy. Don't get me started on that. Then along comes Logan, the one guy who just might be the man to help Chloe get over Austin. Logan is absolute perfection! I kept waiting for a red flag but there were none.

I am so utterly confused on who I want to see Chloe end up with. The minute we think she is finally letting Austin go, BOOM! Bomb detonated. Ugh...now, I don't know what to think. At least we got a good laugh before all this drama with Charlotte's wedding!

The next installment of the Dating Season needs to get here quickly. I am dying to know what happens next in Chloe's love life. Did Chloe finally move on or is Austin going to finally wake up?

This fun summer series just keeps getting better and better. Winter Bloom is the fourth of six book in this series. In the first three books, I felt the guys were trainwrecks (however, each trainwreck improved from book to book). But in Winter Bloom, Logan is everything and more! He is the perfect one for Chloe. She always thought Austin was the guys to end all guys, and my response is "Austin who?". Logan is every girl's wet dream, or at least mine. The end of the book is a huge cliffy but fortunately, Laurelin is releasing these books quickly so as not to leave her fans hanging too long. And in regards to the this cliffy, 'what the he&& Laurelin' (I say this lovingly)'!! I can't wait until the next part.

I am Team Logan!!!! Forget Austin. I have enjoyed following Chloe’s dating adventures and Winter Bloom is my favorite so far. We open with the wildest introductions to Logan and his band. Then we find out how talented Logan is with his drumsticks. (I am still fanning myself thinking about those drumsticks.) Lucy is still around and planning a girl day. We have Charlotte’s wedding and omg the gummies are back. But that ending, really Austin? What are you doing to our poor girl, Chloe? We will have to wait and see what these authors have planned for them.

Chloe and her dating adventures are back in Winter Bloom, Dating Season #4. I was giddy and shamefully ignoring everything else in my life just to sit and read this book. I LOVE this series! I could not wait to jump in as soon as it landed on my Kindle. In this episode, Chloe meets Logan, the sexy drummer in a local band. There's clearly some sizzling chemistry between them. It's not long before she's "off the market" once again, but for how long? There's loads of fun things happening in this story as we approach the wedding of Chloe's best friend, Charlotte. Once again, I laughed so hard I cried on my way through this episode...Chapter 10, that's all I'm sayin'. I can't think of a better way to spend some time than curled up in your favorite reading spot with this episode or any of the episodes in this phenomenally enjoyable series! This one's yet another delicious offering full of wonderful characters who will have you devouring their story from the first chapter to the last. And oh that last chapter! You do NOT want to miss it!
