Amazing!! This novella is amazing.
Hawker knows just the right buttons to push with heart wrenching scenes that give you all of the feels. Bella and Hasting are a match made in heaven when it comes to narrators.

The story had me wanting to know more about what & who the Black Cloaks are and how the humans had been divided into elementals.

Being this the prequel for the series, I found it super interesting. I loved the world-building and imagination used in this novel.
It's a quick read and it will make you want more about the story.
