Alec is in between jobs and is looking forward to a month of fun and relaxation, when is friend Duncan bet him that he could not work outside, doing hard work, in the heat as a landscapers helper. Duncan cousin Gianna, runs a landscaping company with her father, and he called her to set it up and even asked her for a place for Alec to stay for the month. She agreed she even offered to drive him into the nursery with her in the mornings, to Gianna, Alec is just a rich playboy and will be out of there with in a few days, too afraid of doing hard work. But will Alec show both Duncan and his cousin that he’s not afraid to work hard, Will Alec get his he girl and will Duncan have to auction himself off at the next fundraiser.

Christina Tetreault has written a 5-star book. This is the story of Gianna and Alec. Alec has just made a bet with his friend Duncan. The bet is that Alec can't last a month working at his uncle's landscape company. The bet is that if Alec lost, then he has to be a bachelor for the Helping Hands Foundation auction. If Alec wins then Duncan has to be the bachelor. Alec has every intention to win. Duncan calls his cousin and asked her to hire Alec and also to rent him the apartment over her garage. She agrees to do both. When Gianna meets Alec, she decides that she won't have anything to do with him since he is a rich playboy. In every picture she has seen of him, he is with someone different. She has had her relationships with rich guys and they didn't turn out well. As she spends time with Alec, she changes her mind about him. He doesn't act like a rich guy. They end up getting together and she thinks it is just for the time he is working with her dad's company. Alec falls for Gianna but he is supposed to start a new job on the mainland. They are on their way back to the island when they run into Jared, a guy that Gianna had dated when she was younger. He is one of the men who put her off of rich guys. When they get back to Gianna's house, he wants to know what ferry she was going to be taking the next weekend and she told him she wasn't coming to the mainland. In fact, she thought they should end things. Alec can't understand why she has changed her mind. He tells her that he loved her and was not going to give up on her. He tells her that she cares about him too. Gianna is having dinner with her friend Lyssa. Lyssa asked if she has talked to Alec since he went back? Gianna said that he texted twice a day but has not called. Lyssa wants to know what happened. Gianna tells her that before he left, she ended things with him. She tells Lyssa about what happened on the ferry. Lyssa tells her that Alec wasn't wrong in telling her that she cared. Gianna gets some advice from Lyssa and it makes her think real hard about what she has treated Alec. Alec goes back to the island and hopes he can talk to Gianna. She is not at home when he gets there. When she gets home, she noticed that the light was on in the apartment above the garage. As she is going into the house when Alec comes out. She asked him if he wanted to come in. He goes in with her and they have a talk. She tells him that she owes him an apology. She explains to him what happened and as she is talking, she tells him that she loved him. He tells her to repeat what she just said. She teased him with saying something but not what he wanted to hear. When she said she loved him again, he tells her that he loved her.
Will things work out for Gianna and Alec?
This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

Determined and Irresistible!
The Irresistible Billionaire is another Sherbrookes of Newport book. It's the romance of Alec and Gianna. I intended to review the Sherbrookes series after reading Unexpectedly In Love and realizing I couldn't remember most of the characters, especially the Sherbrookes. Rather than reviewing books I've read, I came across several that I had not read.
The Irresistible Billionaire was one of several. Reading it, I remembered a lot of the Sherbrookes and Unexpectedly In Love made more sense. Not only was Alec an irresistble Sherbrooke but he was determined as well. Once he decided Gianna was the one, nothing would prevent him from making her his.
Its amazing how someone as good-looking, wealthy and famous as Alec, he was also confident and extremely patient with Gianna in spite of her misunderstanding. It seems all of the Sherbrookes and friends are understanding and patient. Though the books are similar in plots, it's the amazing Sherbrooke family and friends and their relationships that make you want to continue reading. They're wealthy, good-looking and famous but as down to earth and real as they can be. Though their love interests are not as wealthy or famous, they're by no means poor. Gianna was a hard worker, well educated intelligent woman running her own landscaping business. She was also a certified CPA. She also had a loving family.
I can't wait to find Sherbrookes' books in my library that I haven't read and others to review.

A bet is made between Alec and his best friend Duncan. Alec is changing jobs and has over a month of down time. The bet: Alec won’t last a month working for his cousin’s landscaping business. The winner and loser receive the same thing, one of these men will be auctioned off for four dates at the Sherbrooke’s charity gala. Both men refuse to be one of the bachelors.
No question the first week Alec has sore muscles that don’t get used much on a pretty awesome body. The plus, he is staying in Gianna’s garage apartment and Duncan’s cousin has a lot of attributes Alec likes. The work is grueling but Alec is planning not to be the bachelor actioned off.
The romance is slow, Alec thinks of Duncan as a brother and his favorite cousin Gianna needs to be treated special. Sex, but only if there are feelings. Gianna isn’t a summer fling kind of girl. Gianna works on a resort type island. Lots of rich people. She has been burned romantically by some rich men. She puts all rich people in the same category. Sorry, not interested because Alec is super rich.
Gianna is willing to see who wins or loses this bet equally. She gets a decent worker for a month who is easy on the eyes. Alec is definitely smitten first, I felt Gianna has a lot of hang ups. No real communication between the two. Just wasn’t my favorite in this sixteen book series. At this point it is hard to keep all the cousins, siblings and spouses straight.

This is book sixteen in The Sherbrooke's of Newport series and it is Alec and Gianna's story. When Alec's friend suggests a bet that Alec couldn't handle a job doing manual labour Alec decides to prove him wrong and show his friend that he can do it and also win the bet not knowing that it will change the course of his life. Gianna loves on Sanborn Island and when her cousin asks her to give Alec a job at there family landscaping business for the summer she is not happy about the situation but agrees reluctantly to see if Alec can handle the job. Will the regrets of there last stop them from going forward and miss out on something special or will they take a chance and have a happy ending that they both deserve only time will tell what the outcome will be for Alec and Gianna. The characters and storyline pulled you in right from the start and kept your attention right until the last page and that is what makes this book a real page turner and so addictive. Christina Tetreault is an amazing author and writer and I definitely recommend you read this book and others by her and you will definitely not be disappointed.

The Irresistible Billionaire is the sixteenth book in The Sherbrookes of Newport series. I have read and also own a couple books in this series which I enjoyed and this book delivers on that also. The story is about Alec Sherbrooke and Gianna Ferguson. Alec is a rich playboy who finds himself between jobs and with time on his hands. When his friend Duncan bets him that he cannot do hard work outside as a helper to the landscaper he does not back down. Duncan has a cousin, Gianna, who runs the family landscaping business so one call later and Alec finds himself with a new job and even a place to live. When Alec meets Gianna the sparks are flying and he knows he wants her. Gianna is a hard worker who with one look at Alec figures he will put down his shovel and gloves within a couple of days. So for Alec the only way to get the girl is to prove he can work hard and in win the bet, which means Duncan will have to put himself up for auction for charity.
This is a very enjoyable that was a pleasure to read. The story is well written and has an easy read. The characters are all very likeable and have a very sweet slow burn romance.

-I loved seeing the Sherbrooke members get all together. They are a great bunch with no mean spirits around.
-I liked how Gianna and Alec met. It's too bad for Duncan; of course Alec would win! But I'm also glad Tory won over Tasha.
-I loved how Alec took his time to know Gianna better with a proper slow-pace romance through the book; it was heartening.
-I liked knowing knew people, the ones near Gianna's heart like Shane and Lyssa.
-There are two instances when Gianna said/thought something with complete certainty but repeats quite the opposite with the same certainty. Like she had a lifetime to spend time with family vs. spend most spare time w/family or how they had so little in common when the truth was quite the opposite and G. had reflected onto the fact not so long ago.
-Many information or thoughts were repeated at least 3 times (for me to note it) and it's too much; we know already! Like how much time it takes G. to get ready compared to other women; how Alec's mouth is talented; how G. doesn't mingle with the rich tourists, etc.

I am partial to the stories of the fabulously wealthy, yet humble and good-hearted Sherbrookes, and am glad to see Alec get his book. Alec is leaving Nichols Investment for a new job and his friend Duncan invites him over. When they were in school, Duncan worked summers for his uncle's landscaping business, while Alec did very little manual labor. Duncan makes a bet with Alec that he has to work for his uncle's landscaping business for a full month, but he can't be late or take a personal day. If he does, he automatically loses the bet. If he lasts the month, Duncan loses and has to "suffer the consequences." The loser participates in the bachelor auction for the Helping Hands fundraiser. Since his brothers have found their wives at this auction, it only seems fair that he does, too. The Irresistible Billionaire is a beautifully crafted story filled with so much heart. Along with the characters who you couldn't help but adore, I loved the engaging scenes which put me right into the story and made me feel their connection. The emotional impact of the story was very well done. The stroll through the Sherbrooke family tree was a nice finishing touch.

It was so much fun to catch up with all the Sherbrooke family in this book. Irresistible Bachelor Alec Sherbrooke makes a bet with his best friend Duncan that lands him working for a landscape company for a month. Gianna lives on Sanborn Island and works for her family landscaping company, she reluctantly agreed to hire her cousin's friend Alec to help out for a month. Gi never would have imagined her life would forever change once Alec entered her life. Alec went to the island for one thing to win a bet however when life throws curveball plans change. Alec must win the bet to avoid being part of his aunt's bachelor auction and force Duncan to participate. I love that Alec knew what he wanted and went after it, that nothing would deter him from winning the girl and that he had the patients when her insecurities threatened their relationship. This is a cute slow burn story full of friendship, family, cute moments and amazing banter. The Sherbrooke's are a united family full of fun, exiting and cute moments that won't disappoint. The auction was so much fun, but my favorite part as always will be the banter between the brothers and cousin. I loved it!

Feeling up for the challenge he moved to Sanborn Island expecting to return when the month was up. He didn't expect to fall for Duncan's his boss Gianna. As they spent time together Giannia began to fall for Alec but previous experiences with wealthy men who visited their island made her hesitant.
The Sherbrook family is large and in charge. They love to spend time together and always support the family they love. This adds so much to the story. I like the slow burn of Alec and Giannia. Alec knows what he wants but takes things slow because he doesn't want to rush into anything. His persistence pays off with a happy ending.

Phew, finished it! This was a struggle for me to get through. It was a nice story, no swearing, no descriptions of sex. But there wasn't much to pull the reader in or a reason to turn another page either.
Two friends make a bet to avoid being in a charity auction where bids are placed on them as escorts and they take the lady on three or four dates, bidding starts at $5,000. The Sherbrooke billionaire has to work for a landscaping company as a laborer for 30 days in order to get out of being in the auction. The owner of the company doesn't cut him any slack, especially since she works there too.
This is supposed to be a romance novel, but the characters didn't seem to have a spark between them. The story dragged in places and there was too much "filler" that only increased the page count and not my interest. Still, not a bad story just a dull one. Perhaps is has to do with this being #15 in the series.

Little did Alec know one bet made during a poker night with the guys would not only remind him of what hard manual labor is, but also meet the woman who is like no other. Gianna is a hard worker and the last thing she needs is doing her cousin a favor and allowing one of his rich friends to work at her family business for a bet, but she to was not expecting Alec. I loved how they were opposite in many ways but also the same in many including hard workers and family orientated but I totally get Gianna being hesitant to believe it is more than a summer fling which means we get to see Ale really work at showing her how much she means to him. I loved seeing all the Sherbrooke's from other books along with the laughs, challenges of new relationships and taking a chance on love.

This is a slow, enjoyable romance that leaves the reader with a satisfying HEA. Eric and Duncan, Gianna’s cousin, enter into a bet over whether Eric can actually do a manual job for a month. He goes to Sanborn Island to work for Gianna’s family’s landscaping business. Although Eric is the youngest son of the wealthy and powerful Sherbrooke family, he’s actually a good guy (heck, the Sherbrooke family is full of good people). Gianna has been burned by other rich guys just having a fling on the island, and is initially skeptical that gorgeous Eric is different. Swoon. There is some heat, but the book is a true romance. Alec bets his friend that he can last a month working for a landscaping company and if he wins, the friend has to join the bachelor auction and vice versa if he loses. Gianna runs the landscaping company with her family and also doesn't believe Alec can last doing the back breaking work as he is a billionaire desk jockey. The are attracted to each other but Gianna wants a local boy so she can settle on Sanborn Island. Can they get past their differences for their HEA? This is part of a series but can be read independently. Great story and author.

The Irresistible Billionaire by Christina Tetreault. This is book 16 of the Sherbrooke’s of Newport and while it can be read as a standalone, this reader recommends reading the rest of the series as some characters from previous stories do make appearances. Engaging and unique plot and charming characters, the author does a great job keeping you vested in the story and outcomes. This book set was filled with a good mix of drama, personal conflicts and struggles, and heated passion, and of course my favorite the HEA. I would recommend this book and author to others. I don't think I would have accepted a bet to work for a landscaping company for a month. I also have an office job and would be afraid I wouldn't be able to get out of bed after the first day. But despite being sore Alec is stubborn and determined to not give up. He also has the motivation of being near his sexy boss and landlord Gianna. She keeps thinking what they have is temporary and lumps him in with her horrible wealthy exs. It frustrated me that he was looking at houses on the island and she still thought it was just fling. But Alec is a romantic gentleman who is just as determined not to give up on her.

I enjoyed this new "Sherbrookes of Newport" story. This is a stand alone read about Alec and Gianna. Alec is a very wealthy man who understands hard work. However, his best friend thinks he has no clue so a wager is made. Duncan has bet Alec that he can't last a month work for his uncle and his landscaping company. Who ever loses the bet must be the Helping Hands Foundation bachelor for their auction. Alec has to work with Duncan's cousin, Gianna. Let the sparks begin to fly. She does like him because of her past dealings with spoiled and entitled wealthy people. I enjoyed every minute of their story.

Alec and Duncan make a bet that Alec can not last in a hard outdoor job for a month and if he fails, he will be the one auctioned off for charity. Duncan contacts his cousin who works landscaping on the island and sets up a job and housing above the garage. Gianna thinks he will be gone within a week but Alec surprises her and the two start a relationship. The characters are terrific, with great backstories and intense feelings. The storyline has drama, surprises, tension, twists, romance and new insight. Loved their chemistry and banter. The ending is worth the read.

I so much enjoy Christina Tetreault's books. She is a fantastic author who writes well with great storylines and likeable characters. I think this is one of my favorite books of hers. The characters, Alec Sherbrooke and Gianna Ferguson won me over quickly. Their romance was slow burn and sweet, sexy and satisfying. I love seeing characters from one book to another. This storyline was the best! This world she has created is so enjoyable that I just sit back, emmerse myself into the book, and enjoy the ride. Perfection.

An enjoyable and entertaining romance you'll be glad you added to your reading list. A beautiful romance with a slow burn that keeps you wanting more. The characters are easy to get to know, easy to fall in love with and interact well together. The attraction between them is evident and keeps you turning the pages waiting to see what happens between them. A great weekend read when you need to escape in a good book.

I don’t think a line sealed a love of a character better than Alec’s about his value of a friendship trumps sex. If that didn’t show or express his investment in a long lasting relationship nothing did. However, I did understand the reservations because of history with men of wealth and visiting.
This was another added bonus of Sherbrooke fun and family bond. However, it touched on some insecurities that hit different. Also, talking things out and being persistent but not overbearing. Gianna and Alec were cute and a match I wouldn’t put pass Duncan as a set up.

Just another romance novel. What I liked is that the author does not get graphic about the physical relationship, other than kissing and some brief touching of her breast. Nice. So tired of the graphic sex scenes. One doesn’t have to have things painted all the time, there actually should be a story. And, no vulgar language! Another novelty. How can we possibly converse without using the f-bomb?? Being a bit sarcastic, but really, there is no need for some of the language used in the books.

This book was a great book to melt off the winter blues, easy to read and well written. I loved how the attraction between Alec and Gianna was written with so many sparks. The chemistry jumps off the pages. I highly recommend this book. I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

Good storyline, very entertaining and enjoyable.

This is a slow burn romance between Alec and Gianna. The author brings likable characters and weaves a beautiful love story. She does a wonderful job pulling you in and taking you on a sweet ride. It's well written with perfectly painted scenes,moves fluidly and is a terrific read.

An entertaining read. This book is part of the series The Sherbrookes of Newport but you can read it as a standalone. I am going to go back and read the previous ones. The story flows well, the characters are likeable and fit well together. Looking forward to read more.

Enjoyed this cute romance with playboy Alec who takes a bet from his friend Duncan that he can not work a manual job for the summer. Duncan gets his cousin Gianna to give him a job in the family landscape business. Gianna knows all about Alec and does not intend to fall for his playboy ways but the more time she spends with him she realizes that he a hard worker and she is also falling for him.

But then she met Alec and she wasn’t so sure any more. Alec finds Gianna fascinating. Determined to win the bet and the girl Alec puts his whole heart into the win.
