*This is an 18+ just met/ friends to lovers romance with very explicit sex scenes, some kinks, and a HEA!*

WILLOW

I haven't left the house since the accident that left me blind.

My one and only friend- my mom's chef, Marie- persuades me to leave the safety of my home and travel somewhere I've never been. I decide to take a trip to a secluded cabin in Alaska for a month, intending on listening to my fantasy audio books and sitting in front of a cozy fireplace for four weeks. When I arrive, I don't expect the cabin owners son to be the one helping me around during my stay.

He's got the whole bad boy vibe about him: sarcastic, tattooed, and moody. He's kind of an asshole.

Something happens one night and we become friends, but I want more. Especially when he lets me touch him.

KIT

Willow; the beautiful girl who's renting my dad's cabin.

Beautiful, bookish, and blind.

That's why I'm helping her for the next month. I'm only doing this job because my mom kicked me out of her house for getting into some legal trouble. Again.

So I'm making some money helping Dad with the cabin renters here in freeze-my-balls-off, Alaska.

I find helping Willow isn't so horrible. She's different from the girls I'm used to back home. I like that she's quirky and has a wild obsession with fantasy novels. She also makes it so damn hard to be just friends. She wants me, but I don't want to complicate things with sex. So I resist her.

Until I can't.

no hay gente que le diga "che no da"??? bestie anda a wattpad this ain't it, EL CRINGE que me dio este libro nunca me quise matar tanto, ej;

"She's different than the girls I'm used to hanging with… I don't know, she's quirky." I catch myself smiling as I think about Willow in her bookish t-shirt and panties dancing to rap music. She's definitely nothing like the girls." acá estaba al borde el s*icidio

"She's always makeup free and it's such a novelty being around a teenage girl who doesn’t smother her skin in cosmetics." pero xq no me chupas bien la poronga pelotudo de mierda

- "There's blood. It's on my dick, on her thighs, on the lips of her pussy. It only makes me drive into her deeper."

- "(...) I taste a mixture of blood and my own orgasm, the taste not deterring me at all. This is Willow and it’s my own release. The taste of her blood and my cum mixed together sends a shiver of pleasure down my spine."

I have to say…THIS BOOK ROCKED! Kit and Willow are two very lonely lost souls and find each other in an unexpected place. I devoured their story and felt so much pain for the both of them. I felt all the feels and let’s just say Kit could talk to me all dirty like anyyyy day! Whew! In all serious though this was the first time I’ve read this author and I was not dissatisfied! She can tell an amazing story. I just felt like there needed to be a little more bite to the conflict in the story. Other than that it was perfect. The characters were relatable and entertaining. The storyline flowed great. Will definitely read this author again and MOST DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!!

"His description of himself and his overt confidence make it apparent that he's good-looking and knows it; not to mention his sublimely deep voice. Not like any of that matters. He's still a dick."

Loved this debut novel by Renee Kiser 😍.

After a bit of a shaky start between our MCs, Willow and Kitt, Willow is a feel-good, friends-to-lovers, good girl/bad boy, first times, high steam romance 🔥🔥🔥🔥.

Some kink, some angst and some triggers to be aware of (death of a sibling, death of a parent, alcoholism, parental desertion). But also redemption and hope and friendship and love.

Willow was a total cutie, living with her blindness alone and basically estranged from her mother and Kit was the flawed, bad boy suffering from his own personal traumas. I loved them both. And let's be honest, Kit was hot AF 😈.

"We kissed. We shouldn't have kissed. How did I go from kissing her to talking about fucking her? I've been giving her mixed signals. Jesus, I'm a fucked-up mess. "

And of course, there's gonna be a HEA 💗🖤.

Recommended.

This was a super sweet yet hot, cosy read and such a great debut by Renee! The setting made it perfect for spending a cold afternoon curled up reading.

Kit was an ass, but he's supposed to be so it's all good, haha. I loved that Willow was still dealing with the effects of her recent accident, so we got to experience with her what it was like having such a monumental adjustment to her life.

Excited for more! Congrats, Renee!

Let’s just start with the fact that I was looking for a book with a red head female lead I got this recommended. I was totally not expecting that kind of story- out heroine is disabled, she’s completely blind. After I started reading and found out about her I thought I’d be hard to read from her perspective, because clearly she wouldn’t be able to describe things the way other people do, but I was SO WRONG.
Willow is a whole BABE. I loved that she didn’t give up. She’s a strong person and SUCH A CUTIE. I cant expect how good I felt when I was reading about her and Kit. Kit is this “bad boy persona” but I think it’s all because of his past when he was a kid. Deep down he is such a protective guy and an amazing, caring person. I didn’t like his attitude towards Willow at first, but then when he met her and just became a cute, adorable, sweet, caring guy I started to like him a LOT LOT. I love that he follows his dreams and works on the really hard. Because hello? HES A WRITER AND BOOK LOVER. WHAT MORE WOULD I WANT??
HIM and Willow are such a great couple. And even tho Willow is blind and maybe not completely capable of doing thing in new places, I think he loves to help her out.
It was such a sweet read plotted with a lots of AMAZING. SEX. SCENES. The butterflies that guy gave me with his dirty talk 😫😫
What I didn’t like is that Willow was a virgin, although I forgot about it and it was not really mentioned much. Also got slightly mad at Kit for just leaving Willow. But I also got to see how much he loves her and that SHE would actually do everything for him.
If you’re looking for a steamy, sweet read it’s definitely for you!

I love a book that is set in a cabin with a snowy atmosphere like ugh! So when I find out that this book has that and the heroine is blind with a lip-ring wearing bad boy hero, I had to immediately jump on board!

Set in Alaska, we are introduced to Willow and Kit. Willow recently losing her vision due to an accident, she realizes she needs to put herself back out into the real world and start living again. So she books a vacation to Alaska where she meets our bad boy, Kit.

Kit was a pain in the beginning but he starts to lighten up as he gets to know Willow.

I loved the idea however it didn’t reach the potential it could’ve been. Starting with the romance between Willow and Kit, I wish there was more of a build up than we got. I felt a little underwhelmed when they finally got together. I would’ve like there to be some sort of conflict happening other than them two always at the cabin going at it like rabbits, lol. Nothing happened until the very end which was resolved quickly.

Also, there were a couple scenes I cringed at such as Kit saying how different she is from other girls often. Or how he likes how she doesn’t smother her face in makeup like other girls do.

There were some typos I spotted however not a lot that would become distracting. Nonetheless, it was a decent read.

As soon as I found out about this book it instantly became one of my anticipated reads of the year! I could not contain my excitement for it and picked it up as soon as I could. I loved the way I got into this story from the get go. I really enjoyed it so much!

Willow and Kit's journey pulled me in and didn't let go! I loved how i felt so much with these two characters throughout reading! I really liked getting to dig deeper with both characters as well.

With Willow, Ms.Kiser has created an absolutely awesome debut! I can't wait for more books from her!

I can not tell you how much I loved this story! Willow is a young woman who is just recently dealing with a drastic change in her life while Kit is dealing with long past tragedies from his life. If you enjoy watching characters grow and learn about each other and themselves while also enjoying a number of steamy scenes then this is the book for you. I loved Willow's love and openness that made Kit fall in love with her, even while dealing with her own problems. This was such a wonderful and at times heart-wrenching read. I can't wait to see what the author writes next.

Such a sweet story.
Probably not the right word to describe it but it’s what I feel.

I mean, Kit has a VERY dirty mouth for his age….. he will make you blush more than once 🙈

Willow and Kit are wonderful characters that would make you fall in love with them. Each dealing with their own emotions. They end up meeting, well Kit has to help Willow around, and form a friendship that soon starts to feel like something more.

From the very beginning the author gripped and squeezed just enough at my heart! 😔 And yes, towards the end I did shred a few tears 😢

I completely did not liked Anne AT ALL!!!!!
And can completely understand Sofia but still not an excuse. I really hope we see more of her on Pike’s story… even maybe just on the background?!!

I received an ARC of this story and this is my voluntary review.

I loved their friendship, but most off all I loved the way he never treated her like she was disabled. She might be blind but she can do and be all that the others can do and be. That is one of the best things in this book

so good

Willow is a great friends to lovers story. Kit is my favorite type of bad boy… secretly bookish and nerdy. I saw this book on IG and was intrigued. It didn’t disappoint.

These two central characters formed a deeply compelling and authentic bond. Each character carried with them a weight of heartbreaking history and personal struggles, but as they came together, their connection blossomed. The way their friendship evolved into romance within the story was particularly appealing to me. While I felt that the development of their connection was somewhat hurried, the overall experience of reading the book was enjoyable and seamless. I can say I genuinely enjoyed this story.

𝐑 𝐄 𝐕 𝐈 𝐄 𝐖

Let me start by saying, 𝗥𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗲 𝗞𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗿 has now entered as my new favourite steamy romance author! And to think this book is her debut it's fantastic! I will say I'm always worried when a certain book centres around in the friends to lovers trope.

There's always an odds that I wouldn't like it, mostly if I don't see the aspect that makes me believe that friendship is genuine to the core and not just being inscribed as it is. I need the profundity of connection or the background story if must-have.

Anyways, 𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰 gives everything that I wanted in this trope. Yes, She's blind but she doesn't let it dissuade her. She's determined and kind. 𝐊𝐢𝐭 is your typical bad boy personify, with tattoos and smoking habits.

Believe it or not, these two might embody the opposites attract yet they mesh perfectly. Two forlorn souls find one another in the most unexpected predicament.

I'm so consumed with the narrative to the point where I can't stop reading this. You can clearly feel both the sentiments of our main characters. The pain that they suffered from the past.

My only note is I wished there's more grip when it comes to the conflict, you know a bit more of drama, besides that, this was amazingly done. I just love the choice of storytelling and how easy the storyline flows throughout.

Hence I'm excited to read more of Renee books in the future! She's a gem. If you haven't read this fantastic friend to lovers romance, then I most certainly recommend that you do!

One of the best!✨

4 Stars!

POV: Dual (1st Person)
Tropes: Friends-to-lovers, Opposites attract, Virgin heroine, Tattooed bad boy, Blind heroine
Triggers: Sibling death, Description of substance abuse, Some kinks

Likes: Holy moly this is one sexy read! Pretty low angst, with super high smut. I also loved getting underneath Kit's tough exterior. And reading their journey from friends to so much more!

Dislikes: I wished he'd talked less about numerous past women, especially so degradingly. It help when he started to open up as to why he used to act the way he did.

Synopsis: Willow follows (as you might have guessed it) WIllow, who is blind following a fluke accident. After being in a self-imposed isolation since, her chef and mentor encourages her to take a chance and get away for a while. This journey leads her to Kit, who's been given the task of helping her out during her stay at the cabin. They're each others yin and yang; her sweet innocence and his experienced tough bad boy façade. Watch as they both go beneath the surface and discover more. But will Kit self-sabotaging nature ruin them for good? A sweet and very sexy read.

Potential

I liked this book a lot at first. Willow has some things to work out and Kit does too. He’s a real piece of work at first but he was still kind of endearing. The writing style was solid and the story flowed. Until it didn’t. This is where my gripes began.

Once the couple started having sex, that’s all they did. Every chapter had another sex scene and the story got lost in all of it. I couldn’t connect with the relationship when it was all lust.

Also, Willow did not present as someone having lost their sight after many years of having it. She only needed help cooking and setting a fire. She watched tv, dressed very fashionably, ran up and down the stairs. Didn’t seem like the accommodations necessary were researched at all.

I did like Pike and will check out his story when it comes.

I had the pleasure of reading this before release.
I absolutely loved it.
I was hooked from the beginning to the end.
It was the kind of book that gives you that 'sad that it's over' book hangover afterwards.
The characters are beautifully portrayed throughout.
I laughed, I cried and I swooned.
The steamy scenes are hot hot hot!
The story is filled with fun with its share of heart break.
Willow and Kit are so lovable and he is definitely book boyfriend material.
Fantastic debut from Renee Kiser.

I liked this book. It was nice to see Willow and Kit form a friendship and slowly fall in love with each other.

I really liked Kit. Willow on the other hand I just didn’t vibe with.

It did get really repetitive and boring after a while though.

I’m definitely interested to know if Pike will have his own book.

I think for a debut novel, this one hit it out of the park. It was sad, but the relationship that developed was so sweet and spicy.
Willow and Kit were just both just coming into adulthood and both were lost for their own reasons. The friendship they needed came first which was great to see.
I would love to see a second novel with Pike ….. and dare I say even Marie!?
