One engagement can save two reputations… if they can keep their hands off each other.
When claustrophobic Anna gets trapped in an elevator with hunky Skylar, the last thing she expects is to exit an engaged woman. But Skylar insists tongues will stop wagging when people realize she is marrying him and not sleeping with her boss.
Skylar’s father (her boss) invites her to spend Thanksgiving weekend with his entire family in Vermont, and he won’t take no for an answer. She has no clue how she will get through four days under the same roof with the sexy, arrogant Skylar. Then she discovers they expect her to share a room with her fiancé. Now what?
With her job on the line, will she also be willing to risk her heart?
This book is a little STEAMY. if you don’t like that, you can skip those scenes and still enjoy the book. It isn’t erotica, so there isn’t much to skim over. But if you enjoy the love scenes, have at it. :)
Born and raised in California, I fell in love with writing while reading The Outsiders. Then I fell in love with Stephen King's writing style. I enjoy reading many types of books, but YA Paranormal is my favorite. I used to write for Harlequin under a different name. So that's my background. Exciting, no?
I have several books out now including Vampires Rule, Werewolves Rule, Crushed, Witch Hunt, Bait, and 4-Ever Hunted along with the others in the series.

Anna treats people nicely, even the doorman. He makes sure she has an empty elevator car just for her every time, without letting on that he knows she has problems with elevators. One morning, when she gets to her office, she discovers someone has left a bouquet of condoms with a note that said she slept her way into her promotion. Skylar can't take working for his father anymore and has decided to quit. Only his father can treat his commitment to sobriety. Skylar and Anna don't work well together, and she avoids him whenever possible. When they get stuck in an elevator, he's doing everything he can to distract her. Including coming up with the crazy idea that they tell everyone they are secretly engaged. It'll get his family to leave him alone, and it should help her reputation. And they both keep their jobs. How will they ever pull this off? Especially when she's being forced to spend the next 4 days with his family.
The repeatedly calling of sex, making love, before their first time was a bit overkill. He didn't grovel near enough. There were a couple of typos, but overall, an emotionally driven, good read.

I think this is the first time in a while that I savoured the book when I was reading. I was reading it so thoroughly so I could absorb every word, so I could let very word, very action sink into me and I'm so very happy that I did.
This book (and author) has highly impressed me. I loved the Bait series and Vampire Rules by this author so, of course, I'm not disappointed - this book was phenomenal and electrifying.
Full of enemies to lovers, fake engagement, hope, attraction, healing, lawyers, family, lies and truths, and love.
One word WOW! I love the other genre this author writes but she really hit this story right out of the ballpark. You get a little of everything rolled up all in one. I recommend this to anyone who loves a little spice and a lot of fun.
