I was a good college girl until the day I met the Black Stallions. Everything changed in an instance and my old life was a thing of the past.
Laura Murdoch has been Xander's diamond piece since she was in college.
Dragged into the club by Xander's ruthless father and thrown at his son, Laura hasn't had much of a choice in her circumstance, but an opportunity presents itself to be free from the hold of the Black Stallion's MC.
Laura craves the freedom and fears for her life if she does not escape.
There is only one question in her mind.
Can she betray the trust of those closest to her or does she let the opportunity slip through her fingers?
*** This book contains triggers such as drug abuse, infidelity, and rape.***
I gave it four stars because the writer kept you glued to wanting to know about the characters in this book. You find out in this book of how much of douchebag Xander really is before he met Jen and after. In this book a total contradiction of what is portrayed of him from the previous book and the same thing with Jen. Laura is the poor victim in this whole situation, and I do feel for the girl, but at the same time why pull a guy into your dysfunctional relationship with this other guy. Go back and forth between to guys. You know for sure that Xander ain't going to change his way's he has lead her on for 16 years and she still gives him changes time after time, but when things go wrong she goes back to Liam. This a train wreck you can not stop from reading.
After reading Xander, I absolutely had to read Laura’s book. Fair warning, this book will make you angry, ball your eyes out, and be blissfully happy. I really liked Xander’s book, but Laura’s is my favorite! Such a great story.
Laura’s history on how she became part of the club is heartbreaking, and so is what she went through afterwords. She is one amazingly strong woman.
Laim is an absolute sweetheart and so willing to fight for what he wants. I love the dynamic between him and Laura in this book. The ending was perfect and I can’t wait for more of this series
Ok this book was better than Xander. Although I was confused. In this book there are a lot of triggers. So beware. The story was unbelievable. I know fiction but come on it had to have some things that would seem true to life.
Xander is the Prez of the MC and has been in this crazy messed up relationship with Laura. After fifteen years things are about to take a turn. This is a dark read which may have triggers for some.
