Dragonfire - Fallen Star, is the second stunning instalment in the Dragonfire trilogy. A series of exciting new fantasy novels for fans of dragons, griffins and high-fantasy in general.
Months have passed since the defeat of the dark guardian Acrodan, the destruction of Ilivar and the disappearance of the Sphere of Eternity. The great dragon city of Dardien prepares to celebrate the season of fire, but one new resident is not so preoccupied with the festivities.
Still set on searching for the secrets of his mysterious origin, Blaze, the dragon with no known element, cares for little more than searching through all of the secrets the city has to offer, and yet, despite his efforts, and those of his new friends, those secrets remain hidden.
Yet there is something more on the young dragon's mind, a growing fear that not all of his troubles ended at Ilivar. Only one thing is certain, something far more sinister has been awoken, and with it, darkness has been reborn
This year, the revised second instalment of the fantasy trilogy continues the journey into a vast new world, where the peaceful decades are once again threatened by dark powers once thought vanquished.
After their quest and victory, Blaze and his friends are back in Dardien. Back to normal, one could say. Except for Blaze who's still struggling to find who (what?) he really is. As could be suspected at the end of book 1 though, they'd been a little enthusiastic about their so-called victory, and the ancient evil is still lingering. It is, in fact, only the beginning. They have to set off on a new quest where they will discover unsuspected ancient artefacts, and bits of history that quite revisit their previous knowledge. Including on Blaze's origins and true nature.
Holy crap was this a good book. Seeing how Blaze learned about the world of dragons. Seeing Risha and him talking about life events and man was I crying once again. Better than the first one and has me wanting more.
despite 3 being the best book this book is my personal favourite in the series so far and its definetly where i feel this series really hits its stride.
the new characters they add throughout the book like Princess Zephyra and my personal favorite character Neera as well as many more are all incredibly memerable and play pivotal rolls thoughout both this and future books. altho at surface value the villain of this seems a rather generic warlord type the darkness that looms behind him and eggs him on to do monstrous things is a warning of things to come, and tho this darkness is at the fringes of the book the warlord himself is still a great motivator. the death of several characters was a massive twist, and there were alot of moments that made me fear, cry and shout with joy anger and sadness, the second last chapter especially hit hard emotionally, and the last chapter was chilling as the true threat was revealed right where it began 5/5 10/10 whatever go read this series

This is a really great First off, this is a really great sequel. It’s text book, progress the plot, up the stakes, build the world, and develop the characters (while also adding new ones) Everyone from the first book is back and better than ever, and the story here gets far more interesting.
I have heard more than once regarding this series, that the first one is ‘good’, but the second and third are amazing. I am seeing that for myself now; this really blew the first book out of the water! (though, book one was necessary to make this one as good as it is)
That said, I can’t wait to read the third book, most of all after the ending of this one!
