This alien warrior is roguish, charming, and way more experienced than I am.

Maybe he’s exactly what I need.

All the other women who were abducted from Earth have gotten to make a fresh start on Kalix, but with my overprotective sister always hovering nearby, I feel like I’m stuck in the past—still the naïve little girl Brielle has to look out for.

But everything changes when a lost warrior named Zatir returns home. The mate bond sparks between us, and suddenly, my entire world is turned upside down.

Brielle wants me to deny the bond. She warns me that it could be dangerous to fall in love too fast, and given my past mistakes, I know she has a point.

Unfortunately, a warrior as fierce as Zatir has more enemies than he can count. When a bounty hunter tracks him down on Kalix, we’re thrust into a heart-pounding chase across the stars. As the two of us visit strange planets and evade new threats, I realize that this gorgeous warrior sees me in a way no one else ever has.

With him, I can be the person I always wanted to be.

If we manage to survive.

Pursued is a full-length standalone sci-fi romance featuring hot alien gladiators with huge… horns, an innocent heroine with a spine of steel, and a brash, daring warrior whose past catches up to him.

I love reading romance, baking (well... eating) cookies, and binge-watching sci fi shows with my husband. I'm a sucker for a dirty talking alpha with a heart of gold, and I write stories about fierce aliens and the strong Earth women they fall in love with.

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💚🖤💙❤️💜
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘
World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌏
Character development: 😠😚😁☺️
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration Type: Dual Narration

The heroine: Nadia - After being abducted from Earth by aliens and rescued by the Kalixians, Nadia has watched many of the other human females find their fated mates and settle down to live full lives. However, she didn’t bond with any of the Kalixians and continues to live in her older sister, Brielle’s shadow on Kalix. Nadia loves how the Kalixians seem to revere their mates and treat them so well, always touching them and looking at them with hearts in their eyes. She wants nothing more for herself.

The Hero: Zatir - He makes a triumphant return to Kalix after everyone there thought he had died, shocking everyone. The last anyone had known was that he and his squadron had been attacked and overpowered by Orkun ships years ago. Zatir feels as if it was yesterday and is still feeling the losses of the majority of his squadron. Since then, he has been trying to return but kept finding opportunities to go up against the Orkun. He was sabotaging their allies and skirmishing along their supply lines for the last three years.

The Story: This is the tenth book in the series, and I have read all the previous books, so I took quite a long break between the last book and this one. I was pleasantly surprised that this one is quite different than any of the prior books. Zatir is quite a character, he is dangerous, and has a lot of enemies, one of them sent bounty hunters to find him and the hunters chase them through space, so this turned out to be quite an adventure.

I didn’t like Nadia’s deference to her sister Brielle at the beginning of this story. Brielle is over-protective of her sister and makes all the decisions for the both of them. Nadia, not wanting to upset her sister, still defers to Brielle’s decision even when she wanted to do something different. In the past Nadia was a model and Brielle had custody of her and when her ex-boyfriend beats Nadia, Brielle started to make all the decisions, not trusting Nadia to make her own. So, I was happy when Nadia stood up for herself.

This book was told in dual points of view via dual narration and was narrated by Meg Price and C.J. Grey. Meg Price has a very pleasant-sounding voice and does the voice acting thing pretty well. She is able to show emotions well through her voice, especially anxiety and happiness. C.J. Grey has a nice deep gravelly voice which lends itself well to alien males.

This is like a Cinderella story with a anti-godmother. These books have so much action and no relationship angst, bond haze, inner turmoil of sexual desire from a challenging conquest. I don't like that the alien is a man-whore and she is a virgin for the man-whore that has been around the GALAXY. That being said, this is one of her better books.

Series Overview: This is a cracky kind of SFR where the heroes are all horned, loincloth-wearing and ribbed for her pleasure. The insta-love doesn't bypass the issue of consent and the couples usually have lots and lots o'sex on the road to an HEA. The stories hit many of the familiar tropes and there's a comfort in that. My issues are that Ms. Hall tends to over-explain - why describe a scene with one paragraph when you can use three? That type of thing. It worked in some books for me, but overall, I just think it could have benefitted from some judicious editing. The resolution to their romantic conflict almost always comes very early (heh) in the story. And the sex was fine but this isn't a series that necessarily works as a binge because the samey-ness to the stories really stands out. It's the tropes - depending on which ones are your faves, that's what determines if it works for you IMO.

Individual Books (I would choose your own adventure and read as you like, don't think it's crucial to read in order)

Pursued: On the run, older hero younger heroine. Again, a crazy plot setup but everything resolves pretty easily. 3 stars.

This one was pretty good, I really liked the Hero. The whole being the leader and losing his whole squadron was a little glossed over, like on his return there is a party with no mourning for those who were lost or questions as to how the leader got away when his soldiers didn't. That seemed too convenient and glossed over to make the book lighter which is fine, it's a light book.
There are some weird editing issues and some inconsistencies (her scars are originally said to be from an accident until they are explained).
I am always a little sensitive to when the heroine somehow convinces the Hero to involve her in things that would make everything harder, especially when the Hero is a trained and experienced soldier and she has none of that. But it works for the story progression.

I enjoyed the adventure and the way this was part of her character growth, and I actually at some points liked his willingness to have her come with him and explore and recognize she enjoys it. Mostly I enjoyed the Hero's personality, and if anything would have liked to see it described only by action and thought and not having to repeatedly be called "rougish, cocky, dashing.." His behavior managed that description without the reader needing to be told, that's why I enjoyed him!

I ADORED Zatir!  I also loved how Nadia grew throughout the book.  I do sometimes get tired of the virgin female and guy that sleeps around a lot. Also, I didn't think was wise Nadia was taken into dangerous situations with her innocence but I get that Zatir didn't want to hurt her self-esteem. I reallllllllly liked the story a lot and CANT WAIT for the next one. I will admit, I teared up at the end. Next book out in late Sept. Grrrrr

Well done. I could see the conflict coming. Not too many ways to get separated for The Adventure. Unfortunately I kept having flashbacks to another book which shall not be named. But this ended beautifully- as it should. Yay!

**2.3/5 stars**

Nadia feels like her life is on pause with her overprotective sister always hovering, keeping her in the role of the girl who needs constant care. Everything changes when Zatir, a lost warrior thought to be dead, returns to Kalix. A mate bond ignites between them, turning Nadia’s world upside down and pushing her to finally take control of her own life. Meanwhile, Zatir is determined to do whatever it takes to make her embrace the bond. Only, he's made a lot of enemies and there's now a bounty on his head...

The plot didn’t quite work for me. The setup was great at first—Nadia and Zatir meeting at his return celebration was charming, with a Cinderella ball vibe and Nadia’s sister giving her a midnight curfew. It felt fresh and different from the other books, and I wish the author had focused more on that fairytale angle. Zatir was eager to win over Nadia after being put in his place by her sister, but their first date goes south when they’re attacked by bounty hunters on his ship. Instead of returning to safety, they decide to go deeper into space to track the bounty hunters, which only puts them in more danger.

“You know, I’ve traveled all over the universe. I think by now, I must have seen almost everything there is to see. But in all the universe, I’ve never seen anything as lovely as you.”-Zatir

Nadia was always shy and meek, letting her older sister make decisions for her, even in previous books. I was excited for her story, but it was a letdown. I don’t get why the author insists that every woman in the series should have a ''bravery/heroic'' moment. Not every woman needs to be a warrior, and that's okay. I’ve always been drawn to feminine power like gracefulness, adaptability, resilience, etc...And I expected to see that with Nadia, but instead, she just abruptly became assertive with no real buildup to that change. She was the one who suggested they should go further into space to try to find the bounty hunter???

There’s a cockiness to him, a sort of cool, careless swagger that immediately catches my attention, and although all of the Kalixians are gorgeous, he’s got to be the most handsome one I’ve ever seen.-Nadia

And Zatir just agreed to put his fated mate in such danger??? He’d only met her the night before! As someone much older, more familiar with the galaxy's dangers, he should have known better than to take such a huge risk, bringing his mate along. Overall, his personality wasn’t really my type; he came across as a playboy who had been with many alien women across the galaxy during his vigilante days. While I appreciated that Zatir was immediately devoted to wooing Nadia after meeting her, we didn’t get to see much of that courtship because the plot took a very different turn, which didn’t really allow for that dynamic to develop.

Overall, I didn’t care much for this couple or their adventure. I didn’t really see their chemistry and didn’t understand why they were paired together.

I loved this book. Nadia and her older sister Brielle were abducted by the evil Orkun alien race to be tribute brides. Rescued by the honorable Kalixians, they now live a safe and peaceful life on planet Kalix. Even so, the sisters keep distance emotionally and physically from the aliens and the other rescued human women. They are the only family they have left, and Brielle is very protective of her younger sister- especially after she was nearly killed by an abusive ex-boyfriend. While Nadia loves and appreciates her sister, she longs for more freedom to make her own decisions. Not trusting her own judgement she acquiesces to her sister's caution.

Zatir is a Kalixian warrior thought killed along with his squadron while fighting the Orkun three years ago. Finally making his way home, he is welcomed by his fellow warriors and friends, and a feast is held in his honor. He doesn't expect to find his fated mate at the celebration, nor her sister shielding her from him. While taking an excursion together to get to know each other, a bounty hunter attacks Zatir to claim the rather large bounty on his head. A powerful enemy wants revenge, and Zatir must handle it to protect his irisa and his people. But will it drive Nadia away, or will they be able to face this threat together?

I loved these two as a couple! They has such good chemistry together and I loved watching the trust and bonding grow between them the longer they were together. I was especially impressed with Nadia's character growth over the course of this book. She was so shy in the beginning. Always hesitating to speak her mind and do what she wanted while listening to the doubts in her head from her past mistakes and her sister's warnings. She proved to be brave and courageous- coming into her own and learning to trust herself and her own judgement and believe in herself. I was very impressed with her and found her inspirational. Zatir completely won my heart. He is very honorable and brave, and makes the effort to listen to Nadia and value her as an equal rather than dictate what would be best for her and her safety. They made a perfect couple.

This story has plenty of action and suspense. And the romance was sweet and steamy. I always love Presley Hall's alien mates books, and this one did not disappoint! I definitely recommend picking this one up! 5 stars.

“My heart feels as if it’s bursting, so much love and happiness and relief flooding me that I feel consumed by it.” -Nadia

There’s nothing else to say except Presley has delivered yet another masterpiece addition to the Khalaxian fated mates series!

Absolutely loved Zartir’s character! His confidence mixed with cockiness in a less than subtle way was enchanting. And, Nadia’s hesitancy but her need for excitement! I could tell right from the start that they were going to be such a fun, exciting couple.

Nadia has been through so much back on Earth and is basically being controlled by her overbearing sister that reminds me a lot of Rose or Harper, don’t remember which one was hesitant at first. Either way, the growth and transformation Nadia goes through from a shy, quiet girl to a strong, confident young lady makes for such an amazing read.

“Once I claim you, knowing that I’m the only man who’s ever had you? I will never, ever be able to let you go.” -Zatir

Zatir has also gone through a lot of turmoil in his past. But, he is still so confidently arrogant with specks of joviality, you can’t help but love him. With his missing status for the past three years, his sudden presence is a shock to the warriors, but mostly, Nadia.

They both have gone through their own trials and tribulations, both suffering from broken pieces and scars both inside and out and bad choices with a damaged past, but they learn from the other that even with these issues, they’re not weak but stronger because of everything they have endured. And, their connection is so much stronger than any of the others, at least theirs touched my soul. And, the passion and intimacy was so well developed, each of them taking their time with the other to learn more about their wants and needs.

“I have something to live for. And I need you to live for me too. I need you, Nadia. I need us to make it through this—together.” -Zatir

Brielle and Vrale are up next and to say I am ecstatic!! Brielle has so much fire and attitude, but Vrale is strong and tough so I guarantee he’s up for the challenge!

What a charming Hero!

I sound like a broken record here, but we have another great addition to this superfantastic series. Zatir is one of the alpha warriors of Kalix, but was presumed dead these past 3 years when his entire team was wiped out in a skirmish with the Orkun. When he finally makes his way home, after leaving a trail of destruction to the Orkun, he is given a hero’s welcome and a feast in his honor. He is stunned when he meets his Irisa - his fated mate - at his banquet. Nadia had an abusive boyfriend on earth so she struggles with self-confidence. But she truly wants to make a new home for herself on Kalix and reinvent herself. But her sister, Brielle, is overprotective which is stifling to Nadia. But through a series of events Nadia and Zatir find themselves on a dangerous mission to stop a corrupt arms dealer who has placed a bounty on Zatir. This adventure also gives them time to seal their bond.

My oh my, what a charmer our MMC is. I loved everything about him. His bravado, his sense of humor, his confidence and his vulnerability. However, this is the first book where I didn’t think the main couple were a great match. I mean, there was a point where I almost wanted to throat punch Nadia for being such a pussy. But I got over it pretty quickly. I can take insta-love, I mean, isn’t that what fated mates are all about? But I can’t take an insta-complete 180° in temperament and character. In the beginning, Nadia was pretty much “Miss Butter wouldn’t melt in her mouth” kind of heroine. By the end, she’s a lustful adrenaline junkie. The odd thing is that I didn’t absolutely hate it. Must be because I absolutely love this series, and Ms. Hall is a great storyteller.

I highly recommend this series, and suggest that you read the books in order. It’s nice when characters from other books appear in multiple books. You’ll have a better appreciation of the world building as well.

It was okay.

Hard to get into the book when you don't like the characters. The story was good and the smut was nice!

Nadia, is so annoying. Like she talks so much about how her sister Brielle is in her business and doesn't trust her or whatever. But in reality, Nadia went through something traumatic and Brielle walked in on that event and was there to pick up the pieces and help Nadia heal. As a big sister, Briella became protective and cautious, and Nadia hasn't stopped her at all. She just goes along with it and doesn't share her true feelings. So now we have to listen to Nadia complain about Brielle, and how she is too in her business and how frustrated she is. Whatever, maybe get a backbone and create some boundaries for her to recognize and you would solve your own problem. But no, you bitch and complain.

Zatir, is cocky and arrogant. Which in a romance male character, I don't really like it. He talked way too much about how popular and charming he is with women, to a point I want to gag. Another thing, I don't like in romance novels. It wasn't even tasteful. That scene where they're in the tower and Nadia and him just found out their mated. Brielle, being protective, because her sister LITERALLY RAN OUT OF THE BALLROOM ALL DRAMATIC AND SHIT, and she comes up to the tower to see them close and about to kiss. She was concerned that, Nadia may have been coerced or manipulated by a man who literally walked into the room a minute before she ran out of it and he rushed after her. He says, ' "Believe me." His lips curve up a little more. "I've never needed to force a woman." '

Like, GOOD? I'm glad? But why did you have to say it like that? Implying how well acquainted you are with vagina. come on.

So i started this a while back read like halfway through and then wasnt really feeling it or in the mood idk but i was determined to finish a few half read books of mine if only to clear space on my device or better yet move onto the next book in the series...

frankly nadia i wasnt a fan of her she was kinda okay but god factor in her sister being a fkn nutcase which we apparently get the joy of her in the next book so im debating skipping it and the fact that kalix? Katir? Fuck knows the dude was well pretty douchey pre nadia and had a very idk areogant streak that i wasnt a fan of at all. There's a fine line between cocky and cockhead and he swayed on the cockhead side a fair bit.

So i finished it. It was decent as far as i love the series the writing was good the plot eh seemed a little dragged til about like idk 80 percent ish when it was like suddenly way faster paced which was good but like felt really quick and easy end to a big bad and unsatisfying cause now the dickheads just created a power vacuum with all the resources in place and literally did fuck all besides kill like 3 dudes and like not even like dismantle the fucking building or anything like they couldve easily reported back to the home planet or something smarter and actually taken out the operation and not just the current nutjob in power. Ugh that pissed me off like oh yeah kill him and its all magically solved like shit at least collect the bounty or take his funds and distribute it toward good causes or put someone good in power fuck sakes.

Anyway yeah i enjoy the series but this one was a stinker for me.

Zetir has just returned home to Kalix, after losing the rest of his squadren to the Orkun.

He is at the feast giving for him by the King when he sees her, and he knows she is his mate. But her sister is not trusting his word that they are mates and Nadia is young, only twenty, and has had bad results from her previous boyfriends, not even taking into consideration the kidnapping by the Orkun, the spaceship crashing, the slavers almost getting them as the Kalixian ship arrived to rescue them all, It's been a crazy few months with little time to get used to a new world, and new customs. So he determines that he will win her over slowly. He starts with a walk and a space ship ride to see the planet in from orbit. But his romantic ship r II Dr turns dangerous when they are attacked by a pirate who damages their ship. Saturday needs to find out why he was attacked, is it him personally or are they just after any Kalixian? But he needs to take Nadia home, however she refuses, saying that the sooner they acquire the info, the better, and she's going with him. Thus starts a wild set of attacks, deceptions, stowing away on strange ships, infiltrating pirate commands, and taking out said pirate. All before returning home in the pirates fanciest ship to confront her sister Brielle with the news that they are fully mated. Still more pages of very long sex scenes than I like, but not quite as bad as one of the series was. I will read the next book.

Zatir is worldly, charming and a little roguish. Nadia is one of the human women abducted from Earth, is quiet and fiercely protected by her older sister Brielle. When Zatir returns home the mate bond sparks between them and her world is turned upside down. Her sister wants her to deny the bond especially given mistakes that Nadia has made in the past. Warrior Zatir has many enemies throughout the galaxy and when a bounty hunter tracks them down to Kalix they are thrust into a chase across the stars visiting new planets and evading new threats. During those adventures, she realises that the gorgeous warrior sees her in a way that no now has ever seen or understood before. She realises that with him she can be the person she always wanted to be - as long as they survive!

I really enjoyed this story where everything started off very tentative and ended in a true partnership that faced dangers head-on and proved 100% that they were completely compatible and definitely meant for each other. I loved that it showed the sensitive side of a Kalaxian warrior and that they really would do anything in order to make their mates happy. It was also lovely to read and "see" Nadia flourish and gain so much self-confidence thanks to Zatir. Easy to read and understand. Contains explicit sexual content.

H and h both TSTL

DNF at 44%. I'm giving this 3 stars because I normally love this author and these books and I truly don't want her rank or anything to fall. (No, I don't know her personally - just like her writing). That being said, I am disappointed. The H is a moron. He is supposedly some military hero and takes the h on a date up into space for a joy ride and unexpectedly gets shot at by a pirate. That's fine. He takes care of the situation. But THEN he questions why a pirate ship is so close to the planet, but instead of notifying the powers that be on planet of a potential threat and instead of returning the 20yr old dumb-as-a-box of rocks h to the planet, he LISTENS to her and goes off to figure out why the pirate was so close to the planet! Really? You don't tell anyone where you are, where you're going, why you're going, nor warn the planet of a clear danger? You, a thirty-ish (I'm guessing based on context clues) military hero just up and go because a 20yr old girl with literally NO experience in anything (other than a history of bad decisions) tells you to??? I had to stop at 44%, because there is too much stupid in real life without having to read about it in fantasy as well. Sigh.

Pursued

The story was interesting. The characters were intriguing. A young girl, Nadia from earth, meets one of the warriors, Zatir, who has been gone for three years since one of their last conflicts with the Orkuns. During this conflict every member of his squadron was killed except for him. So, for three years he’s been out there crippling the Orkuns in his own way by destroying shipping lines and destroying anything he possibly can that aids the Orkuns. When he finally returns home he’s given a hero’s welcome with a ball at the palace and everything. There he meets his fated mate Nadia. Each felt an instant spark. However, her older sister wasn’t a fan of the instant “spark” these warriors and their mates felt and urged Nadia to deny it. The story goes on to the action sequences you expect in these stories. Frankly, I’m getting a little tired of them. I think this was book 10. Time to call an end to this series. There is another book in the series that I know of. There was an author I read several years ago that I stay away from because she doesn’t know when to call a halt when enough is enough. There are sexual scenes that may offend some readers.

These two suffer from traumas of the last but raise one another up to be more than they thought they could ever be! As they explore the mate bond they end up on a dangerous adventure that changes their lives forever ! The bond really does know who is best 😘💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖! Nadia is one of the youngest women within the abducted women along with her over protective older sister. Unfortunately, Nadia experienced some past trauma which left her in a shell. Not truly living like she once did. Anyways, Zatir is a rogue Kalixian warrior now just coming back home after 3 years away. In celebrating his return he sees Nadia and immediately his soul recognizes hers (swoon). Anyways, Brielle stops any rushed decisions Nadia may have with Zatir. But, Zatir who is older and experienced in battle and in life wants to prove his honor and wants to court his mate. But, that day couldn't go as planned. After his celebration he seeks Nadia out and asks to take a walk to get to know her. What could go wrong with that? Apparently a lot... but they both needed time together to see that they truly belong together. Action packed yet...major swoon, yes. steamy love scenes oh my goodness yes. Worth reading? Of course it is.

Quick, fun and sexy read

Nadia and her older sister Brielle are among the Terran women rescued from the Orkun by the Kalixian warriors. Due to an abusive who hurt Nadia, her sister is extremely protective of her and Nadia doubts her own judgment. Zatir was presumed dead along with the rest of his squad and returns to a hero's welcome. He immediately recognizes Nadia as his mate. She and her sister are less certain. When the date he plans to get to know her better turns into a life and death adventure, Nadia has the oppurtunity to learn to trust him and herself. There's more to him than swashbuckling bravado and together they discover the power and empowerment of the mate bond. Zatir knows how to please his mate and Nadia shows she's a fierce warrior in her own right. The sister Brielle comes off poorly at the start of the book and I really liked that Zatir is empathetic enough to show there's more to her as well. I'm looking forward to reading her book next.

This is another romance where the heroine is described as "tall" compared to the other girls, but of course since the Kalaxians are all over 7 feet tall, not tall compared to them.

In this episode (they're all standalone but do feed into each other) a missing Kalaxian warrior comes back after 3 years away and finds himself mated to Nadia, a 20 year old former dancer on Earth who was abducted with her sister Brielle in the first set of rescued Terrans. Brielle is very overprotective. Nadia leaves to take a walk with Satir and comes back weeks later after being attacked on his ship, and goes all over because Satir has a bounty on his head. I've enjoyed all the books in this series and this one is no exception. It wasn't really that different from other stories in the series so I think I'd call it a 4.5 rather than a 5 since there isn't much of a "hook" that makes it more exciting (though all the books have adventures) than others in the series.

Nadia's sister a pain, but she loves her, and she does not know what it would be like if her sister wasn't here with her.
Zatir out on his own after his squadron was killed by the Orkun forces. Now he has returned to a new Kalix.
Showing off for Nadia he ends up taking her on the greatest "date" ever. But what is her sister going to say when she comes home.
Can't wait for September 24 when Possessed comes out. This series is one of the best out there. I love how we didn't just "stick" with the "main" females. How Presley Hall was able to keep the series going and how it still after going on 11 books how it can still draw you in.

First book in this series I'm taking a star from, because if in the previous one I thought Brooke was annoying, in this one Nadia is both annoying and immature, constantly judging her sister for being ott controlling, but not telling her a word. For fk sake woman, you are 20, I know 12 yo's who stand up for themselves better.
As for Brielle, talk about a bitter spinster sucking out any sparkle of life or joy from a room, and crushing her sister's hopes and dreams with any chance she gets in the name of security, frigging hypocrite going straight to the fighting arena for some eyecandy as soon as she was left on her own, all this time nagging about how nobody likes her when she was the one rejecting everybody in the first place. I'm kind of dreading the next book due to her.
I feel so sorry for poor Zatir, he is such a funny, cocky and interesting mofo, he deserved better.

Nadia is a quiet 20 year old ballet dancer and model lucky enough to be with her overprotective big sister Brielle.

Zatir is a Alpha force warrior thought to be dead along with the rest of his squad at the hands of the Okrun, when he returns home after causing much strife and upset to Okrun supply lines he attends a celebration where he sees Nadia and the much hoped for irisa bond starts.

So begins the adventure can Zatir woo Nadia and cement the bond or will Brielle or the bounty hunters after him put a stop to the romance.
I love this story a young girl finding her strength with the encouragement of a male working together to become a team. Looking forward to the next in this series.

In the tenth book of the Kalixian Warriors book series, we get to know Nadia better and follow her and Zatir's path towards each other. The book is structured in the typical style like the other books in the series. It also has a HEA, action, and suspense. This time it was really extremely steamy, which I found very fitting to Zatir's character. He came across as cocky rake at the beginning, but still very likeable.
My favorite scene was when Nadia and Zatir first met and he followed them shortly afterwards. I unconsciously held my breath while reading, I thought the scene was so electric.
All in all, I really liked the book, too.

Sweet ending

I loved how the story ended more so than the journey. This book is about a young lady abused by her ex , overly protected by her sister, who finds her mate. The hero lost his entire squad, and after a few years finally made it back home only to find that things had changed somewhat. The concept was great and some parts of the story line were really good, but I mostly felt as if we were being told the story rather than experiencing it. Even with that being said, I will read the next book in the series.

I loved this couple, and I think they are one of my favorite pairings from this series so far. Nadia is shy and scared to pursue her wild fantasies because of mistakes in her past. Her hero is a rogue warrior who has been pirating around, sabotaging the Kalixian's enemies. He returns to his home and immediately mate-bonds to Nadia. I am a simp for a roguish, swagger-y hero, and Zatir was the perfect Kalixian version of that! They go on a fun adventure, finally allowing Nadia to let loose the way she's always wanted.

Another thoroughly enjoyable book in the Fated mates series.

Orphaned and raised by her older sister, Nadia has been kept isolated by her sister's overprotective stance after an incident with a man left her injured. Now she is surprised to find she is the fated mate of a returning warrior, Zatir, who has been on a crusade to destroy the Orkuns who wiped out his squad.

Being a mate to this handsome dashing warrior brings out Nadia's strong, brave, badass side, and allows her to soar in ways she never dreamed of.

I've read several books in the series and I liked them all but.......

I did like these books. They have a good story and it flows well. The only critic criticism I would have is the hero is a very PC version of alpha male. If you're looking for a more traditional alpha male then this may not the book for you. The alpha males aren't complete wimps but they're definitely not old school alpha male. That being said I like traditional alpha males but I still enjoyed these books.

One of the best

I have followed this series from the beginning and I have to say that Zatir and Nadia were my favorite couple. Watching Nadia come out of her shell and really take charge of her life was so great! Zatir was the typical rogue but not really. He truly had a heart and a lot of guilty baggage but loving Nadia helped him to forgive himself. I loved it!
