This story follows Constance and Kendrick, two college best friends who had lost contact after a few years!
This story, while short, was so beautiful And touching. As a single mom I completely understand where Constance was coming from with wanting to make her family work with her Baby Daddy. And I also understood why Kendrick backed off and didn’t want to cause any Issues with them.
The way these two were so in love, and it showed from them seeing one another. The way Kendrick stepped up those first two years of Constance’s daughters life, and continued to do right by her even when he and Constance weren’t in contact? That’s a man!

2nd chance to get it right
Constance and Kendrick’s second chance love story is sweet and romantic. I really enjoyed this story. Kendrick is that steady love that some many women want in their lives. These two are so likable from the beginning, you are hoping for them to make it. Dom and Stacia are a fun couple who I hope we get a chance to learn more about.

Constance & Kendrick
Pretty cool read. Short, quick and cute. I hated that the character's name was Constance cause it's my mother's name 😩😩 lol. As a Haitian I was happy to get a little of my culture in the story. I was excited to learn about Constance's coffee method and I can't wait to actually try it. I didn't know coffee and kremas was thing. There were a few errors here and there in the story but it was still a pretty cool, quick read.

Short but Sweet and Sexy❤💛❤💛
What a cute and sexy short story! I can't believe how much I laughed while reading too! But, mannnnnnn, I hate that Kendrick had to endure watching his best friend and love of his life, Constance waste her time and love on that trash @$$ Thomas! Treasure was the only good thing that came of that relationship. I get why Kendrick pulled back, and I commend him because--as it was mentioned--he was definitely on his grown man s***! It takes a real man to fall back but still find a way to be present for the woman he loved and her child, even if it was in the background. But when a second chance opportunity arises for Constance and Kendrick, I was practically giddy that they didn’t waste any more time! Wheeeeeweeee! And OMG! Constance's sister, Stacia and Kendrick's line brother, Dom were absolutely hilarious! Like Kendrick described them, they were like fire and fire!🔥🔥 And when all 4 of them were together?! I couldn’t stop laughing!😂🤣 I wish this story didn't have to end because I needed and wanted more! The interaction between Kendrick and Treasure was much too short for my taste. I would have loved seeing them hang out together! But since it got interrupted with Thomas getting his arse kicked again, it was worth it to read that part!🤣 We readers need an update on Kendrick and Constance!🥰

I really liked this story, but I couldn't give ti 5 stars for these reasons:
1. The beginning was an info dump and went on about how she loved her daughter. Which is fine, but in such a short story it took up a lot of pages. Those could have been used to talk about some memories or events with the ex-husband or best friend.
2. A lot of things are repeated over and over. To make it worst it uses the same verbiage too. For example "I loved her daughter instantly because she is an extension of Constance" is said in that same way at least 3 times that I can remember.
Overall though it was a great story and those aren't deal-breakers. I look forward to reading more from this author

Queen Ivy Laika really gave is a cute heartbreak to love/friends to lovers story.
Thomas gonna forever be a 🗑 ninja😒.
Kendrick & Constance had the perfect friends to lovers story. Kendrick, what a man, what a man, what mighty good man🙌🏾💕! Despite distancing himself from Constance he still showed how deep his love for her and her daughter by continuing to be there in the background and partying half her tuition😳😭💞. I'm glad they finally got their second chance at love.
Dom & Stacia were hilarious.

Cute! I really felt for Kendrick, as he was crazy in love with Constance. But, things don't always happen in our time. I believe in things happening for a reason. Maybe Constance being with Thomas, was to have Treasure, and nothing more. It was beautiful to see this couple come full circle, as they were always meant to be together. I loved Stasia, and her reckless mouth! 😂 She told it like it was, and did not care who didn't like it. Perfect contrast to her sister. Good read. 👍👍👍

This was a short short by Ms. Laika but enjoyable. I loved how Kendrick and Constance love came full circle. It was great for them to find each other again. I also loved the personality of the twin sister Stacia, she was rather blunt. She also finally got her chance at true love.
A cute read, you should download, relax, and indulge. I am looking forward to the next release Ms. Laika, keep them coming.

This was a very short read, so things were very straight to the point.
That conversation in the car between Kendrick and Constance had me like “Ok, Kendrick 🫦” lol. But for real, I liked that he and Constance were very intentional about their feelings for one another and were determined to make things work.
Stacia and Dom were a great comedic relief, and I look forward to reading their story.

Cute
This was such a cute story of college friends who missed their chance and got another one. Reading this, I think they really needed to grow in order to be together. I wish we could have saw more of them becoming a family with her daughter Treasure, but it didn’t take away from the story for me.

What’s meant to be
We often forget what’s meant to be will be. Craving the love u have never had is such a common thing. Trying to make something work that’s dead seems to be as well. Sometimes all we have to do is just live for ourselves and the love we seek will be there. How can I explain this book has so many things I’m trying to figure out now.

Terrific
This is a short story, maybe too short but it’s great. Constance and Kendrick were friends in college but didn’t get past the friend zone and she was in another relationship. This is their second chance
You could feel the love Kendrick has for her.
If there is a book for her sister Stacia, I hope it’s longer with an update on these two.
Definitely recommend.

Worth the wait
I enjoyed seeing the love displayed ins this short beautifully written story. It truly displayed the idea what God has for you will be there even if you try to run your own life🤣🤣🤣 he’ll get you back on track. This is my first read by Ivy Laila and I enjoyed it and definitely will check out some of her other work.

Short but sweet!
I really enjoyed getting to know Constance and Kendrick, they were too cute! Sometimes you have to go through some things to get what you deserve, that was the case for those two. This book was short but sweet, another great read by this author.

Time to love
It was definitely their time to love. I was side eyeing Ken Ken for walking away at first but I understand his reasoning. Stacia had a mouth in her. She was funny! Dom and her together were a riot!Constance was clearly too good for Thomas!

Cute second chance romance that needed more pages. I think this was just too short to do it justice. It's a cute story filled with interesting characters, but I barely got to know them before the story was over. If you are looking for a quick, feel-good read this will do.

Second chance romance..
I enjoyed this short story. Aside from a few grammatical errors it was nice to go along with Constance and discover a new life for her and her daughter.
