I wouldn’t call it love at first sight, but my body definitely reacted when I saw her.
Getting Faith Robbins under me became my obsession.
I knew I wanted fast and done.
It’s how I always did things.
Looking for anything more with a woman was never in the cards.
I wasn’t like the other guys in the Cerberus MC. I didn’t want more.
It was physical, sating a desire.
Then someone began to seek revenge, and my other instincts kicked in.
Spending time with her was about protecting her, keeping her safe.
Now if only I could remind my heart what the plan was.

Yet another great read in this ongoing series. We loved the characters and the mystery and suspense. Legend was one of those love-and-leave-them types until he set his sights on Faith Robbins, the first woman not to fall at his feet.

Faith was a successful and beautiful and excellent lawyer but, her personal life is a bit of a mess as she can't let go of the past she has reasons not to trust and be skittish but if she is not careful she is going to miss out on things that can add beauty and happiness into her life once again.

Legend was a sweetheart and a man whore no more when he realizes Faith is Ride and Die, woman. When these hard-loving MC men fall, they fall hard and fast!
We loved his determination patience and kindness when it came to pursuing Faith, and we loved those little moments they had, but, communication was lacking with this couple.

Overall, we loved the upsets and downs and the mystery that needed solving and those surprises, and the chemistry between Faith and Legend was hot!
This couple was perfect for one another, and I loved how opposites attract, in this case, it was just the kind of relationship Faith needed to move on from her past, and for once she had a great big family to call her own.

Great story!

Story: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Trope: enemies to lovers
Angst: 😱😱
Smexy: 🔥🔥🔥
Triggers: none

I really enjoyed this story! It was well written and some suspense as well. I enjoyed Faith. She was both aggressive and secure in most parts of her life, but was insecure in her romantic relationships due to her past. I liked Ethan and how much he like and respected Faith's independence, but I found it a little strange how he didn't make it more clear to Faith that he was all in earlier considering his inner dialogue.

Legend is the 19th book in the Cerberus MC series and can be read as a standalone, but best enjoyed when read in series order. The story is told in first person, in dual perspective.

Yes!! I love that Legend has met his match with Faith. With good reason, Faith is very careful around Legend and has made it clear that she doesn't want anything more. Legend has to figure out just how to get Faith to give him the time of day. In what turns out to be an amazing story, the pair find themselves in the middle of some really heavy drama and having no clue just how they got there. With loads of ups and downs, some super hot naughty bits, and that tad bit of danger and violence, this story was fantabulous. I am excited about the new comers and what comes for them, this gets 5 stars.

I am love with this series by Marie James!! The Cerebus mc, just keeps getting better and better; and the men hotter. Faith is the mc’s lawyer when needed; Legend just likes her. Because of a past she doesn’t do relationships. Well, Legend did not get that memo. When weird things happen in Faiths life, Legend and the guys step up to see what is happening. Unfortunately nobody is prepared for what happens. With the help of Blackridge security, will the guys be able to save Faith in time. Loved this one; looking forward to Grinch’s story and a possible lost love.

Faith and Ethan "Legend" are two dynamic personalities. Ethan only does one night stands but he meets Faith and things change for him. Faith is reluctant to open up due to her past. Now Ethan has to convince Faith that he wants a long term relationship with her. Plenty of action, danger, mystery and steamy times make this a great read.

Faith the lawyer and Legend (Ethan Packwood)...he is obsessed with her. She wants nothing to do with him. 😆

"Someone once told me that men use love to get sex and women use sex to get love"

I applaud this author for being book 19 in the series and STILL keeping things spicy and interesting!!

I can’t believe this author is still writing original story lines when she’s on book 19 in the series, but I’m here for it! Faith has a traumatic past but is slowly overcoming it. I just love watching self proclaimed bachelors fall and Legend is falling. These two together just makes me happy. When someone from Faith’s past decides to take revenge against her will Legend be able to keep her safe?

Legend and Faith have an incredible story full of all the suspense that left me anxiously waiting for more. Legend is the perfect alpha MC who didn’t think he would ever fall. Faith has. Background which left me heartbroken for her and all she has gone through. I loved how In tune Legend was to Faith and how they just seemed to intrinsically come together. The suspense of the story was perfect and as always I love how the Cerberus family comes together. .

Other than maybe the last 5 pages, I found that this was one of my top 2 books in the series so far. The story about Legend & Faith was a sweet story full of drama & climaxes (both types: plot & orgasmic).

I WAS excited to read about Grinch in the next book when I read the teaser about Grace BUT, like I said, the last 5 pages had to go & ruin my anticipation. Now I'm scared, sad & pissed off....

Legend has us drawn into the Cerberus world with a lot of push and pull between the Legend himself and Faith Gibbons. The charge in the air that surrounds these two is like an electric storm. As Faith’s past of mistrust has doubts forming in her mind this will place a wall around her heart. As drama and chaos causes havoc and Faith’s life is placed in danger, Legend will stop at nothing to protect her. The chemistry between these two will have your skin on fire and the uncertainty that Faith feels will have your heartbreaking. A story filled with action, passion and doubts will have you on the edge of your seat. However as their story draws to a close and declarations are made it will be the shock ending that leaves you hanging by a thread and craving more Cerberus now.

Love is a battlefield and Legend fights for Faith every step of the way. She doesn’t make it easy on him. They battle each other and there foes. It’s one of the most honest love stories I’ve read in a longtime. Had me screaming at times “JUST TELL HIM/HER!”

I enjoyed the mystery/suspense element of this story. Faith's character was pretty consistent throughout the book, but I was getting whiplash with Ethan's mood and actions. He seemed to really want her in the beginning, but he didn't go after her as aggressively as he should have. He was all about protecting her, but he should've made it more clear that he was looking for a long term relationship with Faith. Her insecurities built a wall between them that could've been knocked down with some communication! I really wanted to smack to sense into both of them at times. lol

I was excited to read Legend. I mean he liked to say he got the road name due to his prowess in and out of the bedroom. As a character he was protective and caring but it felt superficial or on the surface. I didn't feel the depth of who he is.
Now for our lovely heroine. She's a lawyer and is very proud of all she has accomplished because she is a child of the system. She has trauma but honestly you never feel it. You never get all the feels. As I said it is surface. I easily stopped reading and would come back later; I didn't sit and do a read through.

Legend and Faith

Ehh not my favorite but still good. I just didn’t like the fact that Legend wasn’t as take charge as I thought he should’ve been, he was just letting ish happen and it was driving me crazy! And faith 🤦🏾‍♀️ how can she be so intelligent and so unaware at the same time? 🤷🏽‍♀️ but those were just a few things the books vibe was still Cerberus Loving, loyal, all about family. Overall it was an okay read.

LEGEND is the nineteenth instalment in Marie James’ contemporary, adult CERBERUS MC erotic, MC, romance series focusing on the members of the Cerberus MC- all former members of the US Marines. This is attorney Faith Robbins, and Ethan ‘Legend’ Packwood’s story line. LEGEND can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Faith and Ethan) LEGEND follows the building romance and relationship between attorney Faith Robbins, and MC member Ethan ‘Legend’ Packwood. Faith Robbins struggles with issues of trust having grown up in the foster care system. Ethan’s continuous attempts to seduce our story line heroine are met with rejection and oft-times disrespect but Faith has a stalker, and Ethan has proclaimed himself our heroine’s protector, a protector who is constantly at odds with Faith’s hot and cold, back and forth, up and down attitude towards the man himself. As the incidents against Faith increase, growing more threatening with each occurrence, Ethan pulls Faith into the Cerebrus clubhouse, where she will be protected and surrounded by eveyrone involved but Faith’s need to remain independent are about to place her in the direct line of fire, where her life will hang in the balance for perceived sins of the past. What ensues is the building but acrimonious relationship between Faith and Ethan, and the potential fall-out as Faith refuses to acknowledge the danger to her own life and that of the people she loves.

Ethan ‘Legend’ Packwood has lusted after Faith for as long as he can remember but the some-time MC attorney battles between head and heart refusing to be another nameless body in the ‘Legend’s’ long list of conquests and bed partners. When pushed away one final time, Ethan keeps his distance, a distance that Faith struggles to accept and understand. A little TSTL (too stupid to live) Faith refuses to remain secluded, increasing the target already on her back.

The relationship between Faith and Ethan is tempestuous at best. Faith refuses all of Ethan’s attempts at seduction but when Ethan backs away, Faith feels rejected, often worried about other women, or Ethan’s history with the female members of the Cerberus MC. Living at the MC clubhouse, Faith and Ethan’s relationship quickly turns into something more but Faith continues to doubt Ethan’s need for the woman with whom he is falling in love. The $ex scenes are passionate, erotic and intense, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful, energetic and familiar secondary and supporting characters including six new members: Spade, Aro, Slick, Boomer, Harley and Ugly; MC president Kincaid, and his brother Dominic; Apollo and April; MC member and homicide detective Colton Matthews; Harley’s wife Lana; Grinch; psychologist Brynn ‘Slick’ Sullivan, bartender Drake, and Faith’s best friend Sylvie Davis. Grinch’s storyline is next.

LEGEND is a story of vengeance and obsession;family and friendships, relationships and love. The premise is dramatic and intense ; the characters are animated and-the camaraderie between the MC members is cherished and fun; the romance is provocative and seductive. LEGEND ends on a bit of a cliff hanger-you have been warned.

As a fan of MC-themed romances I've enjoyed the handful of books that I've read that comprise this series. As a whole they're quick reads with straightforward storylines, steamy interactions between the main couple, and exhilarating action in and out of the bedroom. This latest installment is more of the same as lawyer Faith Robbins finds her life and heart in danger, while sexy biker Ethan "Legend" Packwood tries to claim her heart and mind at the same time he's trying to keep her safe from those seeking revenge. In a story teeming with sexual tension, readers will be on the edge of their seats while waiting for everything to come to a head.

Faith Robbins grew up in the foster care system which taught her to guard her heart closely. She grew up counting only on herself, never trusting that anyone is more than temporary, and never willing to believe that she's worthy of love. These beliefs fuel the unending back and forth, hot and cold, connection between these two apparent opposites which left me often frustrated by Faith. Legend constantly tried to show her how committed he was to her but she repeatedly pushed him away, though that didn't stop her from enjoying the decadent delights he offered her. At the same time she repeatedly put herself in danger, despite Legend and his Club offering her their protection. It made for a heroine full of internal conflicts, a heroine who wasn't my favorite but who brought out the best in the hero. Legend has always been a player, flitting from one woman to another, except when it comes to Faith. He's always been attracted to her, always wanted more than one night, but she's always pushed him away. Giving her some space, some time to think, doesn't help things either as her feelings are hurt and her doubts are further exacerbated. It all leads to a relationship full of miscommunication, a connection full of second guesses, as well as banter that sizzles. There's a lot of unnecessary melodrama surrounding these two, a lot of issues (particularly coming from her) that could've been settled much sooner, if they had just talked it out. The suspense surrounding Faith, the mystery of who's after her, was an exhilarating part of the story too and ends with a bit of a cliffhanger that has me ready to see what happens next.

Faith and Legend are a combustible couple forging a relationship full of her self-doubts and his need to protect those he claims as his. While her constant back and forth was frustrating, I admired his never truly giving up on her. Even when pushing him away, he was determined to keep her safe in a sexy and suspenseful journey to HEA. Alongside this compelling main couple was a large cast of secondary characters, most who've been seen before, and some who are new additions to the MC. It definitely has me excited for where Ms. James takes us next in a series that continues to entertain!

Legend
By: Marie James

4.5 Star Review by Kristie K

“You can call me Legend…ask me why…”

The nineteenth installment of the Cerberus MC series carries on the tradition of total awesomeness found in the previous eighteen books. Ethan “Legend” Packwood has the ego to go along with his nickname, and the talent to back it up. When his best friend Nate “Apollo” Fosse falls in love with April, and takes on a legal battle to keep what they treasure most, Ethan can’t help but notice the stunning young attorney they hire. Not used to rejection of any kind, Ethan is stunned silent when his first attempt to woo Faith Robbins is met with blistering words of rejection, not once but TWICE! Most men would tuck tail and run, licking their wounds and keeping their distance. Not Ethan Packwood. Her ability to turn him down only fuels his obsession, and when something terrible begins to hunt the gorgeous woman, Ethan makes it his personal mission to keep her safe.

Faith Robbins isn’t afraid of much, but the things she feels when Ethan “call me Legend” Packwood sets his sights on her, causes an unfamiliar and spicy terror to flow in her veins. Her ultimate fear of depending on anyone forces her to bestow cold and absolute dismissal to him and his sexy advances. When someone else puts Faith in their sights for a much more sinister plot, Faith may find herself grateful that the gorgeous MC member doesn’t give up easily. As the danger around her grows, she finds herself falling further into the arms of the one man that could break her completely.

As with all of the Cerberus men, Legend does not disappoint! Though at times I felt myself get frustrated with the both of them for remaining closed lipped and stubborn with sharing their true feelings, I couldn’t complain because it was incredibly REAL. I could totally see this happening in real life, as people are notoriously afraid to speak true feelings to one another for fear of cold rejection. This book tugged on heart strings, flayed me open, and put me all back together, just to slice me open once again. Marie James seems to get better with each book she writes, and I can’t wait to see what Grinch brings us next. I’ve been waiting for him!

I never get tired of reading about this MC. Every book has been fantastic never disappointed.

Legend is a newer character that came about just a couple books ago so glad he has a book now.

I think he's an awesome guy as all the Cerberus men are. I understood his hesitancy with Faith given she always rejected him and didn't want to push her given he was trying to follow her lead.

Now Faith is a good character. A strong independent woman. Where I was confused on wasn't Faith a former lover of Apollo? Could if sworn in Apollo's book went he used her April's custody case he told her they slept together before?

Faith did irritate me very frequently and I tried to understand her ways but unfortunately I found her rude towards Legend for no reason aside from insecurities which I felt he deserved better. She basically kept harassing him for sex lol but then throws him out bring rude then is upset he isn't sweating her? Then he sends her a text making initiative she doesn't reply. Sends her flowers but instead of being grateful she says it's only because of sex? Then is only concerned about her reputation instead of her safety? So when Legend takes control and decides to get her safety by reaching out to Colton she has a problem? I can't. She just comes off as a bitch but very insecure and indecisive. She wants to push him away but also wants him to harass her. I understand she's been through things in her past but geez.

Legend makes my heart my heart melt way he takes care of her. This author definitely knows how to create a great book boyfriend. Every book I read I always love the lead man. I'm just glad they both finally communicated and moved forward.

I'm so looking forward to Grinch's book as I love when stories do a 360 to where characters from being of series and being reintroduced. I also can't wait for Harley's book. I kind of suspected how his story would unfold since he was already married. I hope this series continues.

Legend is the nineteen book in the Cerberus MC series, told in dual POV.
Even at number nineteen this series just keeps keeping my attention. I have loved each and every story that has been written in this series and I’m hoping that with the addition of new members that this series will continue on for a good long while.
Legend, Ethan Packwood, has had a crush on Faith Robbins, an attorney who has worked with Cerberus in the past and who is currently working on Apollo and April’s custody case. His reputation with the ladies is well known in certain circles and his charm always gets him a foot in the door, except with Faith. She’s heard the ladies talk and knows that’s not for her so she shuts him down, multiple times, and makes it quite known she has no interest in the devastatingly handsome playboy. Even though Legend lives up to that reputation he’s also a gentleman and when Faith puts her foot down he respects her wishes. When Faith runs into trouble one night out with her friend, Legend steps in and helps her even knowing she’s probably not going to like it. That one unfortunate incident is the turning point for them.
I very much enjoyed reading Legend and Faith’s story and how they both changed their views on what they thought they wanted, how they fought internally with themselves, and then accepted their feeling for one another. Just another fantastic read.
I’m looking forward to the next books and can’t wait until they are released!
Thank you Ms. James for another amazing story!

I love the Cerberus MC characters. They are loyal, protective, and faithful. They fight for those that can’t fight for themselves, but they do their fighting on foreign soil. They are men you can count on when needed.

Ethan “Legend” Packwood is a man that has been with many women, but the one woman that does not fall at his feet has caught his attention. The only trouble is that she wants nothing to do with Legend. He will give her space, but when she finds herself in danger, all bets are off. Legend will do whatever he can to save her and protect her, even if she fights him all the way.

Faith Robbins had a rough childhood. It formed her and made her who she is today. She fights for kids and works to keep them safe. When they are living in a bad situation, Faith is a woman that will fight to help them get safe and stay safe. She’s confident, strong, and independent. Her confidence wanes though when it comes to relationships and men.

Legend and Faith are great characters. I was hoping that Faith would be stronger for Legend, but she seemed to fit him well. The Cerberus men are fierce protectors and Legend is no different. Faith had a long way to go to get to the understanding that Legend wanted to spend his life with her, but once they finally communicated things were better. I enjoyed the book, and I am looking forward to Grinch’s book to come next. I give this story a 4-star review.

"This is the first I've read from this author but the story completely pulled me in and from the first page to the last, I couldn't stop reading.
You definitely get everything an MC story has, the brotherhood, the action and danger that's inevitable, but on top of that, there's the mystery and suspense of who's behind the chaos and drama following Faith.
Her past doesn't allow her to open up and trust easily, she has a very strong need to stand on her own two feet and not rely on anyone. Legend on the other hand is the quintessential protector, and that the one in the crosshairs happens to be someone he's taken a liking to, it's magnified for sure.
These two have their own set of growing pains, even with the banter between them, they tend to misconstrue the other's intentions which leads to more drama than there needs to be between them.
I also liked getting to know the other people from the club, I have a feeling I'll be circling back to read more from this world." ~Shirley

"What a whirlwind of a story, Faith and Legend sure will keep you on your toes. He wasn’t going to be like his brother’s and fall in love, he was a love and leave em’ and moved on, until he wasn’t.

Their story was all consuming at times and you just couldn’t put it down, I had to know how it ended. And, as will all Marie James books, you will not be disappointed." ~Stephanie

Wow, it’s hard for me to think a series that’s on book 19 is still as great as it was from the get go. I have to admit I may LOVE the original guys that make up the Cerberus MC a little bit more, especially since they get more sexy and dedicated as the club grows with each book. But as for the overall Cerberus club, Ms. James just keeps the storylines thrilling, suspenseful and romantic with each book. This is very true with Legend’s story. Ethan “Legend” Packwood has a thing for the Club’s attorney, Faith. He sees her often as she is trying the custody case for Apollo and April. But Faith continually shoots him down. Little does he know but Faith has trust issues stemming from her childhood and she refuses to be dependent or controlled by anyone. But when her life starts to spiral out of control, Legend steps in. Will she let him and the Cerberus family help her or will she run the first chance she gets?

Great MC Romance that I highly recommend. If you love MC Romances like I do, and you haven’t started Ms. James’s Cerberus MC series, you are truly missing out. This series is most definitely in my all time top 5. Grap up Legend and all the Cerberus books ASAP.

AMAZIMG!!

All of the men of Cerberus seem to fit the title of amazing but now we have Legend’s story and this author has brought us another man’s story that made this a 5+ star book for me. Legend had been turned down by the club’s hot attorney so now he’s trying to figure out what that is all about. Of course, she’s heard about what goes on at the Cerberus clubhouse when they throw their parties even though things are beginning to calm down since many of the guys have women of their own now.

Faith has been working with another member of the club, Apollo and his wife, trying to gain sole custody of their little son and has been around Legend quite a bit lately and her walls are beginning to crumble. Faith has had a rough life growing up and doesn’t trust easily but its Legend who came to her rescue one night at a bar when he seen that her drink had been drugged. After that happened it seemed more and more things happened to Faith that brought out big red flags to Legend and now, he and the Cerberus men were out to protect her from her stalker before more harm could come to her.

I loved this book with the fast-moving action, the steamy connection and a great storyline. I highly recommend Legend as well as the other books in the Cerberus MC series.

We’re diving right back into the thick of things with this, the nineteenth addition to Marie’s Cerberus MC series which brings us readers Legend (Ethan) and Faith’s story.

Faith’s the acting attorney for another Cerberus couple who are currently going through a custody battle, which is how she and Legend initially cross paths, they are clearly attracted to one another, however Legend is well known for his love of the ladies and the way that he loves them and leaves them, and that’s why Faith gives him a knockback when tries one of his lines on her.

However, it’s Legend who comes to Faiths rescue when she finds herself in danger time and time again, that’s when things really start changing for the pair as they both admit their feelings towards each other, and what they want have changed, with Legend realising that he wants more than just his usual one time thing and Faith finally overcoming her trust issues and giving him a chance.

Another fantastic addition to the series, prepare to lose yourself in the action filled drama which goes hand in hand with being part of the brotherhood that is the Cerberus MC.

Legend isn't in the market for a relationship, but he is obsessed with Faith, an attorney who is helping one of his brothers, but she's not having any of him. He keeps trying & she keeps shooting him down, but the chemistry they generate is intense and won't be denied for long. Faith grew up in the foster system so she isn't about to count on anyone else except herself, and while she can't stop thinking about Legend, she won't do anything about it or will she?! There are crazy things happening to Faith, and she's chalked them up to just kids playing around, but things are escalating, and all of a sudden, she really needs the help of Legend since she does feel safe with him. And suddenly, that chemistry is exploding despite the fact that Legend is trying to be the good guy & not take advantage. Faith definitely was the one bringing the push & pull, and at times I got frustrated with her, but the heart wants what the heart wants despite her hangups. The only question is, can Legend keep her safe so maybe just maybe they have a future?! You know what to do to find out as I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Ethan Packwood (Legend) is part of the Cerberus MC and has a crush on Faith Robbins, an attorney that has helped the club’s members in the past. Faith doesn’t do relationships and she definitely doesn’t mix her personal and professional lives so she decides to push Legend away (despite finding him attractive) and she’s not nice about it. After rejecting Legend several times she feels bad for the way she did it and offers an apology. Fast forward couple of weeks and they’re at the town’s bar when someone tries to take advantage of Faith and their lives change forever.

I’m so happy I decided to read Legend’s book after reading “A Avery Cerberus Christmas”. This MC world is amazing and I love how tight this group is.

The chemistry between Ethan and Faith is undeniable, even though these two are stubborn! Ethan is such an amazing hero, once he’s all in he gives everything that he is. Faith does a lot of work to do to catch up but once she does, fireworks are in order!
I loved the suspense that kept me turning the pages and how strong the characters are! Another great book in this amazing MC world.

A game of chase where Legend was chasing but Faith seemingly didn't want to be caught. Faith was very clear every time she cut Legend down!!
Somewhere along the way, Faith gets caught up in something that only the club can keep her safe from.

This book had it all, danger, friendship, laughs and a lot of steamy romance thrown in. Another great book in the Cerberus MC series, another author who manages to keep her romances and storylines original and highly entertaining given a large number of books in the series.
