Brittany and Ladarius had been together their whole lives and got married shortly after their high school graduation. She was willing to go to the ends of the earth for her man, but he wasn’t willing to do the same. Ladarius left Brittany for another woman and her world came tumbling down. They say when trouble comes, it comes in three’s and they couldn’t have been more right. One devastating event after another sends Brittany spiraling out of control. Will she straighten up and fly right or self destruct?Jonathan has been in the streets all of his life. He truly believes the streets chose him, but he’s ready to be free. Being a dog is an understatement for Jonathan, but even he has a problem with completing the mission set before him in order to walk away from the game. Will he complete his mission and break an already broken woman or will he let the chance to finally be free slip through his grasp?
It’s a good storyline but I’m a little iffy with the AIDS stuff. I was thinking Ashleigh was his daughter after the mother said she had an announcement. That little twist was ok. But this AIDS thing is throwing me off. I just hope everyone going to be virus free. I knew Ladarius was going to be the the one who crossed Jonathan. I’m confused to why Briana not in jail for killing 2 ppl. What I truly love about this story is Derrick, how he’s the kingpin and no one knows. He’s so smooth. I like that, gives story a little more drama. My favorite character is Leo. Amanda is man crazed. She’s over obsessed with Jonathan. I don’t understand Brittany, how she in love with her husband last week and feeling another man a few days later. So far for some reason, I’m just not feeling Brittany character.
A plus- very few grammatical errors. Story was good from beginning to end. Jonathan could teach these ladies today on how men really think. I’m glad that the author kept the tempo the same with Brittany slowing growing out of being a silly lil girl. I hate that so much sadness happened. On to the part 2. You will enjoy this book.
The story brought tears to my eyes as I tried to figure why one could go through so much in such a short period of time. The drama and pain reminded me of the mess I got out of years ago. Just like the characters in the book, I too fought for reassurance and healing. Great read and I would recommend it to anybody
Now this story was crazy and I can not wait for the next one!! Ashley was her sister!!!?? Man dad formula lot of explaining to do. I don't know how they gonna accept that news!!! Wwwwwwoooooowwww
Great book. I hope Brittany finds the happiness she deserves and forms a better relationship with her sister. The head seems a little weird like there is more to him that meets the eye. I can't wait to see how everything unfolds.
Now that ending was crazy! I wasn't expecting any of that to take place. Poor Britt! Her life is dang near in shambles! Can't trust your family or the person you love.
This girl got married very young, her husband leaves her for her boss, when his pregnant girlfriend finds out that he wants to go back to his wife she flips out and tries to shoot her and kills her best friend that she finds out is really her sister she didn't know about .her father is a big drug kingpin and wants his worker to spend time with her so she will finally divorce her loser husband, she has been through so much it doesn't look like it is getting better any time soon, have to read part 2
This is my first time reading a book by this author I can say it won't be the last time. I am ready for book 2, I hate that Ashleigh died, and that JT know who robbed him that's another storyline. Amanda is up to something I know it. Brittany got a lot of stuff to deal with concerning her now her sister is gone dang. Keep up the good work Linette King.
I didn't see that coming at all about everything Ms. Linda had to say. The "Head" was something serious and I hate Ashley died. I want to what part 2 holds!!
