I first read this on the Manga Plus app, and here are what people are saying about it.
"It's a Harry Potter parody."

"It's Saitama from One-Punch Man in Hogwarts."

"It's a gut-busting barrel of laughs."

It's all of the above. Try it out.

A one-joke book: Imagine if Harry Potter were an aloof and scatterbrained bodybuilder who couldn't do any magic but attended Hogwarts anyway and spent his time overcoming obstacles and winning at Quidditch through sheer brute force.

The dumb, juvenile antics kept me chuckling through this first volume, but I'm dubious about how far the joke can be stretched. I'll try a couple more volumes at least.

HILARIOUS. Clearly this is a parody. I didn’t think I was going to enjoy it but after watching a couple of episodes of the anime, I decided to at least try volume one and it did not disappoint. Think HP except our main character, Mash, doesn’t have magical abilities. He’s just super strong. Some of the scenes of this are so ridiculous that you can’t help but to laugh out loud. I can’t believe that it literally had me cackling. Honestly, Mash is a pretty dense character but for some reason it adds to his charm. Definitely will be moving on to the next volume.

The easiest way to describe this, is to say that it's a Harry Potter parody. While that is accurate, it would be unfair to stop there. Mashle starts off like a parody but it steadily grows and forms is own identity.

The book is actually quite funny and has a strong lead character. Mash is a great mashup of contradictive attributes. He is physically extremely strong, but he has a soft heart. He is stoic and yet at moments completely silly ( most of the times without realising it ).

*More like 3.5 stars than 3.*

On the one hand, this was such an audacious Harry Potter rip off that the headmaster resembled Dumbledore, the protagonist’s mark looked like a lightning bolt down his cheek, the spells were all Latin, and they played a sport on brooms that highly resembled quidditch. But on the other hand, this was fun! And so you could almost forgive the obvious plagiarising because at least you’d be having a fun time whilst reading this.

And it was certainly the type of manga you can’t take too seriously. If you did, you’d probably point out how, despite the protagonist’s lack of magic, he was still majorly overpowered through his strength and the way his strength defied logic and supposedly impenetrable magic was predictable, repetitive and proved a poorly constructed world alongside the protagonist’s plot armour.

The plot resembled Spy x Family’s (minus the fun of the family shenanigans) and the pacing was fine up until the sudden cliffhanger that felt so ill-timed because it broke up conflict without any build up.

Apart from the obvious issues, there was something fun about this. And if you switched off your brain for a while you could probably read the protagonist’s endless deadpan remarks with an amused smirk that resembled his.

This is an enjoyable if not tropey start to this manga series. It feels like One Punch Man mixed with Harry Potter, but the character specifically reminded of Rock Li from Nurato.

This was a fun Hogwarts parody. In a world when those who are magicless are killed, can a boy who has no magic (but has been weightlifting and fighting trained since birth) survive and succeed in the the world's premier magic academy? As others have mentioned, this does read like a mashup of one punch man and Harry Potter. Silly, diverting, and worth a read.

**Thanks to the artist, author, and NetGalley for a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

A magical world, where everyone uses magic, except the main hero. The concept is boring and done multiple times (Black Clover, My Hero Academia). However, Mashle is so much more. It has muscles. This is an obvious parody of Harry Potter and every other magical school-type story. Where these stories are stealing from each other and trying to one-up with more tragic back story and evil "pure blood magicians" - Mashle brings gags, jokes and hilarious homages.

This is not a series for everyone. But in the same way, as One-Punch Man is a love letter to comics and heroes, this is a love letter to magical schools and Harry Potter. I think the series has great potential and in our meme culture, this can be another crowned jewel.

Imagine if Harry potter, but instead of polyjuice potion he drank creatine.
And was immune to magic.
And responded to bullies with "Expecto These Hands".

Anyway, he's one of the few oppressed folks deemed unworthy of life because they don't know magic. He joins their lead magic academy for safety and well, the protagonist (Mash Burnedead) is the kind of person who fights people in a waffle house-station parking lot.

3/5 "Avada these nuts", but as an entire manga series.
Dumb, but funny.

A blend of Asta (Black Clover) and Saitama (One Punch Man) goes to Hogwarts!!

In a world where magic is everything and used to determine one's social status in society, Mash Burnedead does not have an ounce of magic in him, but he excels at physical strength. For personal reasons, he enrolls himself in Easton Magic Academy to become the Divine Visionary. Even with no magic in his veins, he's going to turn society on its head.

"𝙒𝙞𝙣𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙞𝙨𝙣'𝙩 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙨! 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙞𝙨 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙜𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙞𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙖𝙡𝙡!"

Mash Burnedead is not the smartest guy in the room, but he is strong. Maybe, too strong. He is making friends really fast and destroying wicked people left and right effortlessly with his brute strength alone. I liked his simple attitude towards life.

It's as funny as it is action-packed, but it's lacking in originality so far. This manga is a crossover between various fictional works- Non Magic Boy concept was taken from 'Black Clover', Super strength and dense nature of protagonist from 'One-Punch Man', Magic system from 'Harry Potter' and Coin Collection system for exceptional achievements is from 'Spy X Family'. This manga has a lot of potential but the author should change his approach to avoid repitition, so we all can enjoy something new and creative.

On va dire qu’il y a bp de similitude avec Harry Potter, mais c’est absolument génial. Mash est grave attachant et surtout très drôle.

I was kind of taken aback on this one. I didn't know it was a gag manga.

Gag manga's aren't always my thing. A lot of time, the "funny" bits aren't as funny as I hoped. But things like One Punch Man and especially blue grand dreaming, to showcase that manga/anime can be very funny. Luckily Mashle joins them as extremely well done gags at points.

Basically this kid is extremely strong and OP, but can't do any magic. He enters a school of magic. So you can assume this is gonna be over the top, stupid, and very fun, and it is. Some really epic moments split up between some great laughs, and solid art, make this a way better read than I ever expected.

This is just one of those manga that made me laugh out loud, smack you in the face with the harry potter parody but makes you root for Mash Burnedead bcus this guy really being the most nonchalant and i dont give af main character 🤣🤣🤣. This is so damn hilarious and the humor top notch.
His super strength even outwits the powerful magic which doesnt make sense but it makes sense in this world. Whatever, this is just pure serotonin series for me

Well this has been interesting, ever wondered what Harry Potter fused with One Punch Man being made into an anime would look like?
Look no further than this series!

It's been okay, I'm not totally sold on it yet, it was fun but I'm waiting for something more

This book is pretty much the story of an over powered body builder who doesn't have magic but ends up at a magic school that totally isn't Hogwarts (it is). And he is unstoppable. Of course I liked it.

Thank you to NetGalley, VIZ Media, and Hajime Komoto for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

In this world, everyone can use magic and one's magic power determines their status. Unfortunately, Mash cannot use magic, and since that would make him the lowest of the low, it's a bit of a secret. Though he is super strong... He gets enrolled in a magic school even though he cannot use magic and finds ways to get through tasks just by using his absurd brute strength to achieve things that would appear to be magic.

The art adds to the humor that is doused throughout this book. At times it almost feels like a Harry Potter parody. I am not sure if that is intentional, or just unoriginal ideas, but we have a Dumbledore-looking headmaster, a class to use a spell to unlock things, potions class, and even broom-flying with a game in which fliers try to get a ball in the goal...Let's look at the cover. The character kind of looks like Harry and the castle looks quite similar to Hogwarts...hmmmm...

Of course, there are other original aspects to this manga. There is a coin system in which students can earn coins of varying values for completing certain tasks. The student with the most coin value by the end of the term gets the top-ranking place in the school, which is quite an honor.

I thought this manga was quite quirky and fun, a very enjoyable first installment to a more shounen magical comedy.
