An enthralling read.

This book didn't leave me wanting for much...Well except for the second book.

I liked that this book was written in 3rd person point of view. It gives us insight to more than one character and that worked out really well. There wasn't any awkwardness between switching from one character to the next either, which was great.

I felt a connection to all of the characters. The story doesn't just revolve around the crystals. It also centers on the characters themselves, their personal struggles, and personalities which I think add a lot to the book. Like Phelia and her inquisitive nature or Grace's direct personality.

If you are in search of a good book with a touch of humor that will keep you enthralled from start to finish, I recommend this one.

My Questions for the next book's Author Interview...
1. Why were they chosen to get the crystals?
2. Are there more journal entries?

Crystal Key

I really enjoyed reading the book. What I liked most was that I could not predict at any time what would happen next. I especially liked the introduction and development of the characters. I felt I learned each character as they were developed. I also liked the authors descriptive style. The descriptions made the text come off the pages and form vivid scenes in my mind's eye. My favorite character was Amelia. I liked the way she took to Grace and her take charge attitude. The fact that she was so inquisitive made her fearless. The main thing I would have changed was the volume. This easily could have been two novels. The ending was confusing. What happened to Mr. Grant at the cemetery. Why the mask?

Great start to what I hope be a great series. Every character is intriguing, making me want to know more about their respective pasts, and even more, leaves me wanting to know how each one will grow and develop as the tale unfolds. From True, the ever mysterious new girl in town, to Victor, the laidback, unbothered teen, the main cast each add to the diversity of their group. Each world visited is memorable and I want to learn more about some, especially Flarewing, and even scared to venture back to others (looking at you, Mirror).

The only questions I have are;

What could the Darkness possibly want?
How will the Darkness affect the citizens of Snowville?

I came out by this book, honestly, I rarely read this type of story. A friend of my mine said to give it a try , it didn't disappoint. The only note I would like to make is that I think the author over describe the characters but I honestly think that is taste. I love to use my own imagination for that. Overall a very good book what is worth reading....

Came across these books from the author's website admcreations. Read the short stories on the blog posts and other pages. Got wrapped up in everything and decided it was time for the real commitment buying the books.

Saw a review that talked about the length, but to me it wasn't long enough to have complaints at all. Seemed like good value for the money.

#Crystal #Key was #AWESOME!

Each character is #different and feels #real. They are emotional, funny, and interesting characters living life and struggling in a small place.

The descriptions are full of #depth.

Everything is #easy to imagine.

The dialogue is really good, and the world building is #SO creative!

Very #comforting read even when the lead up to the #Death #House since I fell in #love with the writing style from the stories on the blog.

#Grace is a f***king #BA.

#Shipping True and #Victor!

#Zane needs to teach #Phelia how to make more than sandwiches #asap.

#Jealous that #Phelia is smart enough to stay home.

#Shoutout to #Twister for not leaving the group lost in #FlareWing.

Some typos, but I hardly noticed except the "principle | principal" one. There's #no mistake that it was written by the same author tho.

Took a few days to read with some free time.

I read the book a few years ago, but I'm just now posting my review, and my experience was incredible. The characters are young and full of energy and emotions, dangerous and exciting adventures, which shows how genuine they are. It's the first time I've seen how well someone writes children in dangerous situations because usually most authors end up making a child behave like an adult but here it was different, they were consistent according to their age, and they had character development throughout the story without sacrificing the quality of the writing. I recommend it 100%.
