Two Bears Security: Complete 5-Book Series

Rate this book
The complete 5-part series containing over 400,000 words. No cliff-hangers.PART ONEMitchell Welles spent thirteen years in prison for a crime he didn’t commit. Exonerated, he returns to a world he no longer fully understands and the absence of the friends and family who once were the bedrock of his existence. For the first year, he is focused on the lawsuit he and his lawyers take out against the city and police department that put him in jail in the first place, but once that is settled, there is little to fill his days. Feeling lost without some kind of purpose, he allows his friend, Alyxis, to talk him into taking a job with new security firm, Two Bears Security.PART TWOThatcher Stibler lived on the wild side in his younger days, drinking and partying every chance he got. But when a woman dies as a direct result of Thatcher’s irresponsible behavior, he puts himself on a path to the straight and narrow. But sometimes the past has a way of coming back. A few days after the funeral for his adoptive mother, Thatcher takes on a case for Two Bears Security that reunites him with the younger sister of a woman he once dated. Amused by her disapproval, he finds himself in a complicated situation when he learns that his past behavior had more consequences than he’d ever suspected.PART THREEBrandon Walsh has a complicated relationship with his father. They’re close, closer than a traditional father and son. They essentially grew up together, rescuing each other from their bad choices on a regular basis. Unfortunately, rescuing his father became such a habit for Brandon that he managed to destroy his career and his reputation in one fell swoop by attempting to bribe a sitting judge as an assistant district attorney. Four years later, Brandon is still dusting himself off, trying to put his life back together, when he finds himself working security for Two Bears Security. Little could he know he is about to confront everything that is wrong with his life and find himself forced to choose between his instinct to protect his father, and his desire to finally put his own happiness first.PART FOURLuther Meyers lost everything the night a drunk driver hit the car his wife was driving. His wife and his child both gone in the blink of an eye. It changed everything. Five years later, he’s working a respectable job with Two Bears Security, protecting people where he once wouldn’t have thought twice about breaking into one of these rich people’s homes and robbing them blind. But he promised his wife once that he’d get out of the business, and that’s what he’s done. The only problem is, the job wants him back. The art-loving mob boss he once worked for is looking for him, anxious to get him back to help him amass his collection.

PART FIVEKemp Byler, the quiet, unassuming owner of Two Bears Security, has a warrant out for his arrest on drug possession with intent to sell. Everyone knows Kemp was set up by city councilman Timothy Van Cleave, but knowing and proving are two very different things. To keep his freedom, Kemp knows that he has to prove that Van Cleave is behind the charges, and the only way he knows how to do that is to go back to his past. Van Cleave is afraid of Kemp because he knows that Kemp will not stop trying to learn the identity of the man who murdered two young women, and one of those young women just happens to be the niece of Kemp’s childhood sweetheart.

Great series!

I really liked this series and couldn't put it down. Great story lines and not rushed. This series has equal part and time for beginning, middle and end. I have read some where once it hits the climax of the story then the ending just feels rushed, and that is not the case here. I also love that each part picks up where they other left off. All out a great read and well written.

A must-read collection of wonderful stories

I thoroughly enjoyed losing myself in the characters and their stories. I loved getting to know each and every one of them. Following them on their individual journeys to find love and happiness. The roads were rocky at times, but they each ended up where they were meant to be, in the end. The only bad thing about this boxset was when I came to the last page of it.

A very good read

I was having a bit of question when first starting to read but once I got about 3/4 into the first story I begin to understand much better and the rest of the stories fell into place was glad to see as the final story started to weave its web that it ends at a very appropriate place for all the characters

Camilla, please find a good editor.

The plots & characters were interesting & I wanted to read the entire series and did. But there were SO many small plot & character references that were incorrect. A good editor should have caught them!

Great plots and characters

This author has great a great plot woven through these five books. They're a great read. There is romance and a mystery to solve. Her intimate scenes need some spark and smoke. They are worth your time to read.

Two Bears

The cases the agency takes culminates with the old case of murder and corrupt government. Each person has been able to overcome great odds and prosper in life. Loved the characters development.
