I am a fan of Eric S. Brown. His stories are fast paced, interesting and not a lot of gore.
This is the story of some soldiers who are sent into the woods after 3 different squads had disappeared while on patrol over the past month or so. Now, why the big brass would consider sending more men into a place so hostile that people never returned, I don't know. You'd think they'd just bomb it but whatever.
The squad understands pretty quickly what happened to the other squads but getting out alive to report back was going to be quite the challenge.
A fun read.

Short and bloody brutal
Another quick primal rage by Eric Brown. This one was good although could have been longer still was able to give the characters life before they were killed.

Very good
Extremely fast paced! From beginning to end non stop graphic violence, action, suspense and gore galore! Storyline was Good. Characters wel defined and developed. Wish it were longer.
