I liked this book but it was not what I expected it would be. It is more like a documentary then a recount of a significant event. In fact it was almost a history book as it explained how and why the Melbourne Cup has such significance in Australia. I actually enjoyed that part though my interest did wane a little getting into the bloodlines of different horses etc. I thought too there was not enough build up and detail about the actual Media Puzzle win in 2002. All up though it was a nice light read.
