This is an ongoing webcomic that I’m currently caught up with. I’m not sure I would be invested as much in this if I didn’t already have such a strong attachment for some of the characters. It mostly follows qingning as she grows up and does some much needed info-dumping about the different “types” and how they work but there’s really not much of an overarching plot yet. It’s getting there, and it’s definitely better towards the latter bits of what’s been released, but still nothing super fast moving yet.

I’m sooooooo curious what happens to these characters though and how they get from here to where they are in the donghua👀 I’m very sure it’s probably gonna be very sad. Also just… Xuanli…. What happened to you…. Biggest mystery of the century…

Also aroace Lao Jun👀 I’m not confident it’ll last and I definitely don’t think it’s intentional by the writers but…. I can wish and dream😔 especially since I’m not a huge fan of the whole 1,000 year old immortal master falling in love with his mortal student (even if she does become immortal later) and the show and movie focus more on familial/friend relationships so once again…. I can dream😅 probably not tho.
