It took me quite awhile to read this book, not because it wasn't good. It was excellent. There was just so much information to absorb and think about.
This is the perfect book for someone just starting out on their witchcraft/pagan practice or someone who needs a boost in their practice. The author gave such wonderful information and so many things to think about.

*I would like to thank Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with an eARC in exchange for an honest review*

This was another great book for those who are interested in learning more about witchcraft. It’s full of information as well as tips to get you started on this path. This book also has a focus on empowerment which I really enjoyed. I did however find that I took quite a while to read just because I contains so much information.

I gave this 3.5 stars.

My first read for #TravelingStars2024 on Litsy. This book is like going through a buffet with a small scoop of everything-it doesn’t go deep into practice but is a good overview. I found several ideas in it that I will try & I appreciate the creativity.

Can our publishers give us more books like this one, please?

I'm truly Happy to have the opportunity to read this book on these moments, I received my (for first time) Uncorrected Proof For Limited Distribution 😎🕺🏽 of this new book from Zoë Howe, "Witchful Thinking: The Wise Woman's Handbook for Creating a Charmed Life".

first part:
I had read for now a third part of the book, and to be entirely honest, I ADORE THIS WRITER!! Usually I don't make book-reviews cause I don't think something I said will be helpful on this, my way to promote the books I like is sharing pictures of those, not writing 😅 but this book, I just started immediately yesterday and is a really good book (good job Zoe 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼).

I just ended this chapter about the four elements and their influence in magic 😮 and started this chapter about the pentagram power, how to prepare your altar (with many details) and the use of lunar phases and these works in alignment with the inner circles 😮🌙🌕✨

But hey, the chapter about the elements, let me back there, and let me be cheesy about it, is delicious to read 🥲 like a cake recipe 🍰🎂 I will continue reading, and let you know how is going 🙂🤗❤️

Also ⭐ this book has a foreword of five whole pages 😮👏🏼 by Jane Claire Bradley, an author, and therapist whose focus is (guess what!!) empowering people to explore and rediscover their magic with creativity and sense 😮👏🏼❤️

Love It !!

Can we, in all honesty, made our publishers give us more books like this one please?, Or is too much to ask? 🙈 I mean, we have really good books now, but books made by women empowering other people, with forewords from awesome women looking to empower other women too 😀💃🏻💅 Yes Please!!

Don't be jealous 😎 you can join me on this journey and add this book to your shelter 🙂 is available for pre-order now in Amazon, and everywhere books are sold 😀 will be available on Spring (April, 2022) so probably if you pre-order now, we can talk about it while the tulips and other faeries are emerging from Gaia body 🌷🌺😀🤗

second part (a month later)
I received an "uncorrected proof" of this magical book "Witchful Thinking: The Wise Woman's Handbook for Creating a Charmed Life" by Zoë Howe.

Being honest ❤️ this book is entirely more than I was expecting, as the minor brother of five sisters 😳😱😬 I personally know and have witnessed how the role of women is often underestimated, not only in public but especially in magical-religious spaces, even more so in the field of witchcraft, where most of our leaders continue being men.

As I have mentioned many times before, while I appreciate that male leaders in the holistic community are very supportive and accessible, I would love to see more women leading this community.

This book should be called "tools for women to lead their lives through witchcraft and sacred wisdom", as soon as I finished it today and I was amazed, I can't give you spoilers about the book, that might not be correct, but I can tell you that many men in this community should take the time to read this book as well.

It is a very complete magical formulary, it covers practically all the aspects of the execution of a spell step by step, emotions, elements, flowers, perfumes, symbols, lunar phases, previous preparation.

Again: Can we, in all honesty, made our publishers give us more books like this one please?, Or is too much to ask? 🙈 I mean, we have really good books now, but books made by women empowering other people, with forewords from awesome women looking to empower other women too 😀💃🏻💅 Yes Please!!

"Witchful Thinking: The Wise Woman's Handbook for Creating a Charmed Life" by Zoë Howe, is available for pre-order now in Amazon, and everywhere books are sold 😀 will be definitely out on Spring (April, 2022) 🌷🌺😀🤗

I tore through this book like it was food, and then as soon as I finished, I went right back to the start to make notes and take my time over it more. I've also recommended it to friends because I've not read a non fiction book in a long time that's had such a useful, practical and inspiring effect on me. I particularly found the herb lore segments helpful, and in general felt a surge of positivity simply from having read this book. Its philosophy is incredibly positive, and includes helpful additions to your daily rituals and practices that you might not have previously thought of. A great gift for someone or for yourself! I'll be referring back to it constantly. A lovely read x

This is one of those books that is very dense and very helpful as a reference tome. If you are trying to read it cover to cover I recommend taking your time and letting things absorb as you are ready for more information. Otherwise you may feel like you are cramming a textbook! I took my time with this book and read it in 3 main chunks finishing up the last 50 pages or so in early November. I probably may not read the whole thing again but I’m sure I will continue to turn back to it time after time!

This book is perfect for a baby witch or someone who needs guidance to empower themselves and live their most magickal life. While I didn’t really relate with they book on a personal level, I’m already comfortable with who I am, both as a woman and a practitioner. But this book may be just what you are looking for, so read the overview and if it calls to you, this book is for you.

This book provides a good overview on a lot of different things, from lunar lore and astrology to crystals and essential oils. But because it touches on a whole lot of topics, it doesn’t go deep into any of these areas. While I found several ideas in it that I will try & I appreciate the creativity, it's not a book I'd keep as a reference.

I think it's a very useful and informative book if you are starting the Path but some ideas can also be useful if you are more experienced or need some new ideas.
Recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine

Interesting read for beginners. There’s bits and pieces of things to try, but mostly discussing the basics of modern Witchcraft.
