About the author

C. F. Francis is a native Floridian. Born in Tampa and raised on the Gold Coast of Florida, she has lived in paradise for most of her life. She loves mystery, suspense and romance and enjoys mixing them up with the tropical heat of South Florida. She considers herself honored to have friends who have served in the military (including Special Forces and Intelligence) who she can rely on for information and ideas. Currently, Ms. Francis lives in Southwest Florida where her series take place.

I really like this romantic suspense series. I love the tight unit the ex and soon to be ex Special Forces military men have with each other as they work together in civilian life. Solving the complicated murder mysteries each new heroine finds herself in, is great. All the heroines are smart and feisty. I was happy to see that she softened up the heroine, River, in this book. You don't have to have a rip-roaring bitch to show that the woman is strong in character and heart.

4th in an addictive series, author C.F. Francis skillfully weaves another nail-biting adventure with the fiercely tight James Gang family based out of beautiful Sanibel Island, FL. Surprising twists and turns kept me intrigued and eagerly turning the page as the author serves up a unique and gripping plot. New to the James Gang, gorgeous and artistic River has a story of endearing grief and perseverance that pulls at the heart strings. She’s a strong lead for this tale of romance and pedal-to-the-metal excitement. Familiar relationships and storylines between the characters that we know and love from Francis’s first books bind this unique story together. She gives River’s new friendships and romance a comfort similar to knowing an inside joke. I relished her integration and her newfound budding relationship with sexy Kevin; ups, downs and especially horizontally! If you love alluring, military-man and beautiful, strong-willed women - pick this island-inspired romantic adventure up today!

Great Series

This series is a wonderful Romantic Suspense set. In this book right before the "black moment" I had an idea of who was the antagonist. The only thing was I didn't see a motive.

WOW! Another great book by CF Francis! I am in love with all the hunks in the James Gang and their incredibly strong women. It’s fun to see this eccentric family grow. And her descriptions of Sanibel take me there. Keep them coming CF Francis. If you haven’t read any of her books, you don’t know what you are missing out on!
