In this battle for love, Sebastian must help Kyle face his fear, it could cost him his life. Sebastian had almost lost his life once before, for love, will he be willing to lose it again.
Kyle has been haunted with fear for most of his life, a forgotten nightmare left him incapable of love, the cost to find it, could cause him to lose his one chance.

A native of Kansas, living with his two girls(dogs) and enjoying the single life, for now, loves to write, enjoys movies, books and PlayStation. I love gay romance with happy ever after's. I especially love fantasy, with elves and dragon's, but magic tops the list. Put gay and fantasy together, with HEA's and you will have the best book ever, in my opinion.
Raymond Dosstter's The Children of God is the kind of book that makes you believe in second chances, soul-deep healing, and the magic that happens when two broken hearts find each other.
Sebastian was such a beautifully layered character, writing his own stories while quietly aching for one of his own. And Kyle? Sweet, shy, and silently carrying a storm inside him. Their meeting felt like fate with a bit of fairy dust sprinkled in. The emotional tension, the way they slowly unfolded in each other’s presence… whew, my heart was doing cartwheels.
I also loved the subtle fantasy undertones, Dosstter has a unique way of weaving hope and vulnerability into a story that feels both grounded and otherworldly. If you’re a fan of Harper Fox or Jaclyn Osborn, this is one for your shelf.
It’s not just a romance, it’s a journey. One that whispers, "love is worth fighting for." Can’t wait to see what Raymond writes next. Keep the magic coming!
I love the premise of this book. It's what caught my interest initially and, though it took some time, I really got invested in discovering the story for these characters. I do think there were several points where there is too much going on in the story and that it could have been edited down somewhat but, when I bypassed those extras, I could see the beautiful story the author wanted to relay.

The story was a little different from what I expected from the blurb, but overall, I enjoyed it. Kyle and Sebastian were relatable characters and I enjoyed their journey.
