Is their marriage nothing more than a business arrangment?
Since their marriage-of-convenience turned sour, Lady Portia Tetherton-Hart and her husband Jack have lived separate lives for over thirty years. She has her English stately home to manage, he has his multi-million dollar American corporation to run.
But when a life-threatening diagnosis forces her to re-evaluate her priorities and their son's wedding brings him back to England, Portia and Jack each have a chance to rediscover the person they married.
Can they trust God and each other enough to face the issues that drove them apart in the past, or will their marriage remain a business arrangement and nothing more?

Can two people who are still married but have lived apart for 30 years reconcile? Lady Portia and Jack are brought back into each other's lives by a wedding and a crisis. I kept thinking if they had only really talked all those years ago. I didn't like that he wasn't faithful while apart. But loved the ending and epilogue.

Married but haven't seen each other in 30 years? How can there be reconciliation or even a chance of romance? Jack returns to England for his and Portia's son's wedding that is held in the hospital chapel because of Portia's life-threatening diagnosis and battle with cancer.
I loved how the couple faced their fears, regrets, secrets and challenges--past, present and future--throughout the story. As Jack and Portia finally come to reflect on their remaining years, they realize: "There's never a time to gracefully accept the inevitable, make one's peace with God, and decide to live to the fullest whatever time one has left."
Ms. Macarthur has written with much tenderness and sensitivity to a cancer patient's battles. I also enjoyed the antics of Portia's dog Rusty! As a two-time breast cancer survivor who depended on her husband and family during my most challenging times, I found that this book was a heartwarming romance written with equal amounts of tenderness and humor. (And, boy, could I add to the "What Not to Say to a Sick Person").
I received a complimentary ARC of this book and have voluntarily given my honest opinion in this review.

This is a beautiful story of second chance romance at it’s best and with likely the most outside influences I have ever read about! I loved the storyline and thought it was filled with the most interesting and complicated people. But what struck me the most was how much it made me think about my own quirks. I think we all have a set opinion about ourselves and the way we think we have gone wrong. The old ‘you are your own worst critic’ is so true! As Jack and Portia walk through the mistakes they have made and see if they can rediscover their love for each other by keeping God at the forefront it truly made me look at myself and ask some of the same things. I love books that make me look at my own life and find ways I can learn and grow while thoroughly enjoying a new story as well!
I received an advanced copy of this book from the author but this review is my voluntary and honest opinion.

Nothing More by Autumn Macarthur is a wonderful Christian novel that will warm your heart. It is part of the Love In Store series and is also found in the Three Weddings collection.
It is refreshing to have the two lead characters about seventy years old. They are proof that while there is breath in our body, God still has plans for our lives. We need to trust Him. It is never too late to “hand[ing] the future over to God.”
One of the characters is having cancer treatment. Her diagnosis altered her outlook on life as she re-arranged her priorities. What had previously seemed important – wealth and status- pales beside the love of your family. A personal epiphany u-turns her life as she is redeemed by God (before the book started).
We are never too old to have a fresh start with God. “Maybe it was time to ask God into his life.” There is much rejoicing in heaven whenever a prodigal returns home. “He may have given up on God, but God hadn’t given up on him.” God will never forget about us. Our names are engraved on His heart.
There is the theme of forgiveness. Sometimes we need others to forgive us and sometimes we need to forgive ourselves.
We need to be careful of the voices we listen to. “Dare she let herself be loved when all her life she’d been told she was worthless and unlovable.” We need to listen to the life-affirming voice of God who says we are loved and we are valuable.
Pets turn a house into a home. It was a pure delight to see rescue dog Rusty settle into his new home – and I laughed at his activities.
Never More was a charming novel that revealed the love of God for His children. It is never too late to return to the Father.
I received a free copy from the author. A favourable review was not required. All opinions are my own.

This book is such a sweet story. The love that Jack & Portia have for each other
is amazing. Portia has gone through so much in her life from listening to a mother that didn't have the best intentions for her to making some bad decisions herself and cancer. Jack poured himself into his work instead of his family and was absent quite often but with God's amazing grace they were able to forgive each other. James & Beth are just the sweetest couple ever and so in love, and with their faith in God they were able to forgive some wrongs that were done to them. This story goes to show that with God all things are possible. Rusty is just so darned cute and already so loyal to Portia. Autumn Macarthur has done another fantastic job with this book.

Jack and Portia have been married for over thirty years, and it's been thirty years since they've seen each other. The only reason they're together now is because of their son's wedding. However, once they talk to each other, the old sparks are still there. The only thing is, they aren't sure of each other, and they don't know if it's too late to work things out. Portia has found her faith in God, and Jack rekindles his, and both find out that with God, all things are possible, even for them, regardless of what may have gone before. Love will help you to forgive past hurts, and move on to something better than ever.

I received a complimentary copy of this book, was not required to leave a review, and the opinion expressed is my own.

A sad, but sweet Christian story of a young Bride who married for all the wrong reasons, other than to please her mom and Dad. She endured lots of hardship but had some sweet spots of love and peace in her marriage, but then disaster broke or it seemed that way. The author did a good job of bringing the story around to one of happiness, even amidst the hardship. I think this would have made an amazing story if all the characters and plot had been developed more, and if the author had really got into the culture, the family background, the reasons behind all that happened; however, it is a sweet story of second chances and gives the reader hope for a new tomorrow.

I was not quite sure where this would go from the start. I won't spoil it, but the ending took me a bit by surprise. It is about a woman who has cancer and her estranged husband goes to their son's wedding in the hospital as she could die at any time. He stays for a while to help take care of her when she is released as he realizes he loves her still. It explains how they were estranged (miscommunication) and both had regrets about their part. I enjoyed it and would like to read more by this author!

Her son gets married at the hospital chapel due to her cancer. And she feels SO bad that she thought the woman wasn’t good enough for him. And when her husband shows up - who she has not seen for decades . . . can anything good come from seeing him again? Can they find forgiveness for each other? ABSOLUTELY A WONDERFUL BOOK!!!
I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All thoughts and comments are my own.

This was a sweet second chance at love and marriage. It was fun reading a story about an older couple. Portia and Jack's marriage was a business arrangement and it was sweet reading about the changes they went through that allowed them to have a second chance. They are both strong and stubborn people and Portia's health is both good and bad for their second chance. Their story was sweet and real.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book about a marriage of convenience which later ended in a 30 year separation. When their son marries and Portia is suffering from cancer, she and Jack begin to mend their fences. Cudos to Autumn MacArthur for including hard subjects in her books.

This is a beautiful story of people learning to love, forgive, and loose their pride after a long life. It allowed them to renew the love the had one summer years ago. It was so touching to see James take care of Portia through her sickness.
