Cage Langston hasn't had the easiest life. He witnesses his parents brutal murder and almost died that night too. His wolf wasn't enough to fix the burns that covered his body, and someone thought to help him with a gift. But they didn't know that gift would change Cage forever. As the first known hybrid, Cage is afraid of what his life will be. How it will affect the mate he knows is his. So he stays away from her, even though it tears him apart. Will he get the answers he needs? So he can claim his girl? Wren Anders has been in love with Cage since she could remember. She has always been protective of him and he was her best friend. But as they grew older, he pushed her away and Wren never knew why. She still refuses to give up on him and knows deep down that they are meant for one another. But when all is revealed, is Wren going to stay? Or will it all be too much?
Cage has been through a lot in his life and Wren has been there for him. When he starts pushing her away, she has to figure out why. This was a really good story that kept me invested and turning the pages. I felt really bad for Cage and cheered him and Wren on when she wouldn't give up on him.
Cage is the first known hybrid, he was born a wolf but was given vampire blood to save his life when his parents were murdered at age 6 but it changes his life forever, because of the change he stays away from his mate Wren who he had been friends with since the age of 5.
Wren has always loved Cage and he pushed her away when they got older, she thought it was just because of the scars but that wasn’t the whole reason. By the time they were in high school around 14 he had distanced himself completely, which hurt her
I love that Wren never gave up, unlike her twin Ever who you can tell in these books came to really dislike her intended mate who pushed her away for his reasons also
Drama with the doctor from previous book who took shifters
Wren is in love with Cage since she was a little girl, but Cage always was kind of standoffish because of his scars.... Or that's what she thinks. Cage is a wolf shifter that got vampire blood when sustaining near fatal wounds. Now his wolf changed and he is afraid to harm his woman. But now he finally claims his woman and nothing can stop him from claiming his woman 😍😍😍😍😍 Instalove, sweet, with a bit steam , safe(heck yeas dual virgins) and with a sweet HEA😍😍😍
Hmmm. I don't know what to say about this book. It read like the other two in this series. A lot of back story, so it started in the present time around 46 percent. It was cute learning about their back story, especially how they both knew that they were going to be together eventually. My heart broke for Cage, to lose so much so young. Also, it made me question some things. Especially about shifters. In a lot of shifter stories I've read, they seem to be the dominant species. And it appears that way for these guys in the group, however, their parents seem really weak. His parents were murdered by humans that came in the middle of the night. Their heightened senses didn't help them. I'm sure later on in the story it was explained, but I honestly didn't read it all. I don't think this series is holding my attention, I actually starting skipping it right at the first intimate scene. I really enjoyed Wren, she was hopeful throughout all of their time knowing eachother and she had such a positive attitude that they would be together. There was just a short point when she questioned it all but Cage quickly let her know the wait was over. As I said, I skipped the rest of the story. Hopefully I'll be able to go back and finish the rest, but for now it's a dnf....
Dual virgins No smex scenes with others No ow/om drama

Wow this book was amazing! Talk about being put through the emotional wringer in the best way. I’m normally never a fan of fated mate stories where they deny their feelings for their mate but this was done beautifully and you couldn’t help but feel so horrible for Cage. Wren was so awesome she was there for Cage even when he was pushing her away and didn’t just accept his apology without telling him how stupid he was. Loved this book!!
Maybe I should have read the first two books, but honestly I don't think that would help. TOO man characters in this book. The main characters had no connection.
