The Wolf’s Return is the second exciting novel in the Bite of Magic Saga, filled with danger, romance, and intrigue.
Lucille Yates writes paranormal romance and urban fantasy stories. They feature strong women, complicated men, and sizzling chemistry.
Lucille enjoys writing the stories that are constantly playing like a movie in her head. She is excited that others will now enjoy them as much as she does.
When she is not writing, she is reading, playing with her six-year-old son, watching videos, or playing games. She lives outside of Savannah, GA with her husband, son, and four cats.
I was sent this book in exchange for an honest review. Lucille Yates is a new author for me and my introduction to Pablo and Haley was an absolute joy. Pablo's return to the pack after an absence where he broke Hayley's heart was emotional. The conflicting emotions tugged to the surface for Hayley really spoke to me - the unselfish move by Pablo to leave because he thought becoming a wold would result in him hurting Hayley if he lost control. What a pity people don't communicate - so much would be saved in the way of emotion, lost time together and futures that could have been very different. But then Hayley would never have become a wolf herself and both their futures may not have been guaranteed. I loved the story and look forward to reading more of Ms Yates. Didn't realize this was book 2 in a series. Highly recommend
This is the story of Pablo and Hayley, two people who should never have been torn apart.
This is the direct sequel to "The Witches complement" and picks up right where the last left off.
However instead of following Jesi and Chuck, this follows Hayley and Pablo. When Pablo returns to town after having left a year ago, he brings dire warnings to the pack and coven.
I liked this book, however I found I didn't relate to the characters as much as I did in the previous book. The story and characters, while solid, just didn't gel with me. I liked the characters and the premise, I just felt something was slightly lacking. Maybe it's because the climax of the book wasn't as eventful as the last one (though that would be hard to top).
This is the second book in the A Bite of Magic series and follows Hayley and Pablo's story.
Pablo left town a year ago breaking Hayleys heart, but after being captured by hunters and then escaping, he finds himself back to warn the local pack.
After Pablo left, Hayley ended up going through a really hard time that ended in her being turned into a werewolf, and that she is still trying to recover from. And when Pablo returns she finds out that they are soul mates.
This book is well written. I loved the characters and the way the story progressed was fast paced and left me wanting more.
A fun, short read, with lots of magic. Pablo broke Hayley's heart when he left. Now he has returned and Hayley is so conflicted about her feelings. The story was interesting, so much guilt from Pablo making a tough decision. I enjoyed the mystery that surrounds them and how it plays into the story. The world that the author has created draws you in, helping you relate to everything happening. I highly recommend this book, I can not wait to see what happens next. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Have you ever been conjured? This book is full of magic and the story is intriguing. Hayley was turned to a wolf and her soul mate Pablo had just returned. When Pablo was turned wolf, he was afraid he would hurt Hayley so he left town and left her heartbroken. On the rebound Hayley meets up with a very bad guy that has magic and had a tattoo placed on her back and has plans of using her for very bad things. Now things are in turmoil and Hayley was being possessed. Good Storytelling.
Finally have my hands on the sequel to the witch’s compliment and I am not disappointed! Hayley is still going through recovery and in walks the man who broke her heart leading her to some of the worse months of her life. And to make things trickier she’s still in love with him!
Pablo know he has to make amends but doesn’t quite realize how perfect for each other they really are.
I really enjoyed it and can’t wait to see what happens next!
Wonderful!!! Hard to put down! I can’t wait fir the next book.
The characters are compelling and far from one dimensional. The author writes in a way that makes you feel like you also experienced the magic as a by-stander.
Quick fun read. I received an ARC copy and bought it. This book continues with characters met but not fully explored in the first one. Lil M is a badass and I love e, but Maggie continues to be my favorite character.
