Aaaaaaand that’s a wrap , thank you for attending sovieshu and rastha’s hilarious clown show . It was soooo satisfying to see him realize all his mistakes and see how his empire crumbles a little . Screw him , navier’s got herself a TRUE king (and soon to be emperor ) and she’s gonna go back and show em . Especially now that she’s settling in and has got Heinrey . Speaking of , his unabashed little comments killed me , I chocked right alongside them
Good for her! That’s the clap back that was needed. Screw the emperor. You don’t get to destroy her life and then as her to stay by your side while you uplift your mistress. I hope his life and his kingdom crumble in the future.
Yes! That was so good and satisfying! I love Empress/Queen Navier. After all the unfair demands and manipulations of the emperor and his mistress, she remained classy, elegant, resilient, and tough. Not quite the femme fatale but very admirable in her own way. Smart to choose a diplomatic counterattack, not hurting innocent people and still caring for the welfare of the empire. ❤
King Heinrey, on the other hand, is like a happy puppy who can't contain his joy in being married to Navier. Glad he came clean about his intentions. The cheesiness, however, is too much! 🤣 Well, can't blame a guy for flirting with his beautiful wife. ❤
It felt like I've been reading this for a long time the way I've been waiting for this satisfying season ender. Also, if I haven't said this yet, the artwork is OUTSTANDING! Love this story and I will immediately start season 2. 🥰🥰🥰
"I hope your days of standing alone will soon come to an end."
"They will, thanks to you."
(Thank you Heinrey for making our Queen's day less lonely 🥹🥹🥹)
Sovieshu is a perfect example of wanting to have his cake and eat it too. I don't think I'll ever get over his actions and how angry he got when Navier remarried. For a man who is supposed to be the emperor, and as a result, is intelligent and makes wise decisions. However, he looks like a totally jealous fool!! You are FINALLY getting what you want with seemingly the woman you love and an heir on the way. Why in the world are you being petty and refusing to let Navier leave with her new husband?
BIG sigh.
He definitely wins for the most frustrating and dumbest man I've read in manhwa, which is fine by me. He can keep the title for all I care because while my feelings have changed towards Rashta due to keeping up with chapters on WebToons, I'm more and more satisfied with seeing Sovieshu completely lose control of his "perfect" little life. This truly is the beginning and I have no empathy for him and the dumb decisions he makes.
And Rashta.
It's hard to say how I feel. I have A LOT of compassion for her in the latest chapters, but seeing her in the beginning makes me feel differently. She still has a naïveté about her, but she isn't completely innocent due to the decisions she's made. However, the pressure Sovieshu is putting on her when she JUST learned to read made me feel…something. I don't know.
Navier on the other hand, I am SO happy for her! That moment where everyone close to her is celebrating her divorce made me want to cry because they know that this new life with Heinrey will be MUCH happier than the one she currently has. Before that though, my heart ached for her and seeing her cry. Sovieshu did her dirty in every single way and SO thankful Heinrey treats her as the queen she is!
And speaking of him, I loved seeing him shine (and I mean physically LOL) every single time when it came to Navier. No one can deny how much he deeply loves and cares for Naiver and will literally do anything and everything to make her the happiest woman in the world. So thankful he is in Navier's life! (Also Lebetti who has one of the biggest hearts for Naiver!)
Definitely loved this volume and am SO glad we saw the beginning unfold here! It was even more satisfying than it was then!
I'm catching up on this comic via Webtoon. Although it took me a moment to care for the plot, the utterly stunning art held my attention until I was totally ensnared.
THAT WAS SO CUTIE. I love that Navier is starting to get a glimpse of happiness and also that her now ex husband is throwing fits and is beside himself even though he divorced her like he is such a baby! Anyways the Prince or now king is so adorable and I love him so much!!
La historia está buena pero a la vez no sé como un emperador puede ser tan bruto. O sea que estupidez hace? Aun a este punto Heinrey y Navier me siguen dando igual. Si me gustó una partesita pero veamos como deparará este lío.
---> THE DIVORCE HAS FINALLY HAPPENED !! what a way to end season 1... i'm literally obsessed and can't wait for 1. sovieshu to realize what a huge mistake he's made 2. navier & heinrey's new journey together !!
p.s. heinrey is such a cutie & cinnamon roll. he and navier are literally beautiful together
This is such a great series. Reading the conclusion of season 1 was still just as heart pounding, even if I literally already knew what would happen cause this is where we started out, aha. I’m looking forward to the next arc very much!
Finally reached the introductory scene. It is satisfying seeing how distraught the emperor was, but it still sucks he’s written as completely delusional. Why he thought publicly humiliating and blindsiding Navier would ever work is his favor is entirely confusing to me. Regardless, this is still just an okay series to me. I wish the character work was more complex.
In Summary Prior to the divorce proceedings, the Emperor confides to the High Priest his true reason for divorcing Navier. But instead of earning sympathy, he comes off looking like a fool. He looks an even bigger fool, though, when Heinrey and Navier foil his plans to control Navier after their marriage is dissolved. The obstacles and troubles Navier’s faced have been numerous, so when she and Heinrey come out on top, you can’t help but wish them well.
The Review The Emperor plows ahead with his scheme to replace Navier with Rashta as a legitimate empress. Unbeknownst to him, Heinrey forges ahead with his own plans to secure the safety of Navier’s brother (and put himself into her family’s good graces). Thus, the narrative hurtles toward the divorce proceedings we glimpsed in Volume 1.
However, before that extremely public trial, the High Priest responsible for the proceedings speaks privately to the Emperor. Like most observers, the priest is baffled by the Emperor’s determination to cast his wife aside and tries to talk him out of it. That’s when we finally learn Sovieshu’s motivation for cooking up such a convoluted plan to divorce and reinstate Navier.
Previously, the Emperor seemed an incredibly selfish and controlling person. Once he reveals what happened to him and Navier as children, he seems like an incredible idiot, and a deceitful one at that. He tells his secret in a bid for sympathy, but he didn’t get mine. After all, he could have handled the situation so many other ways (like telling Navier the truth so she could actually cooperate with a solution). The fact that he is hiding the truth and securing an heir with someone who’s so unqualified and disrespectful toward his wife paints him as both unwise and despicable.
At any rate, by the time the divorce proceedings begin, you’ll be thoroughly fed up with the Emperor. Heinrey’s surprise appearance at the trial is a much bigger deal than one might realize in Volume 1, and it is extremely satisfying when the High Priest sides with Navier and marries her to Heinrey.
Sovieshu has mostly treated Navier in public with cold indifference, so it’s out of character when he gets wildly emotional in the courtroom, spouting outbursts of how Navier is his wife and he won’t let another man take her. His behavior is more fitting for a thoughtless child than the head of an empire, and the fact that he can’t control himself diminishes him further as a ruler in my eyes. Unfortunately, because he is the highest ranked person in the country, he can and does continue to interfere with Navier and Heinrey’s union, although even he has to recognize his actions put him on dicey political grounds.
In contrast to Sovieshu is Heinrey, who’s going above and beyond to make Navier feel loved and put her worries at ease. And then there are Navier’s allies, who rally to help and celebrate with her as she leaves her marriage on her terms. Volume 6 does not mark the end of the series, but the former empress has certainly triumphed over her now ex-husband as she gets a new partner and lease on life.

I stayed up all night reading this graphic novel. I'm delirious from sleep but I don't care, I've found a new favorite series. I mean, it feels like it was crafted specifically for me! It has 7 of my favorite tropes; an intelligent, sharp-witted, cold main female character, a kind-hearted prince/king trying to be the best he can be, a fantasy setting, royalty, political intrigue, a sloooooooooooow burn romance, and main characters who actually care for each other, enjoy each other's company and feel like friends, not just love interests. So, yeah, unless it was written piss-poorly, there was no way I wouldn't have loved it and it's written wonderfully. I love the plot, the world, and the characterizations. I also love the antagonists! That is so important. They're complex characters and even when you want to bury them, you still understand them. And honestly, at this point, Rashta, too, should run away from Sovieshu. Also! The art! It. Is. BEAUTIFUL! I'm in awe of the artist and their ability to draw such poignant expressions. And the details! Oh, my God! The details!! You can study the dresses in this novel. I have so many questions and equally as many theories and I can't wait for future chapters. Needless to say, I'm in love.
It was sad reading the secret Sovieshu kept all these years and the fact he was responsible for it. That's why he was feeling guilty when he wished Navier was pregnant instead. I mean Navier deserves so much better, she is such an awesome and strong character. Chapters leading up to the court scene were sad and seeing Navier cry made me cry. But then we knew it was gonna happen. The ending was outstanding and well thought out. Now Navier's new journey begins as she has to get adjusted and tackle a new empire.
Duke Ergi is interesting, he definitely has a motive for all this and also does feel guilty about troubling Navier. He is a shady character through and through. Yet he has a heart to even feel guilty. Huh!
Next season will be filled with new rumours and drama, plans and whatnot... Can't wait!
This series is highly recommended for people who enjoy royal drama with a hint of magic. It is fast-paced and excellent artwork. I loved the dresses and backgrounds for the scenes.
