Wilde & Twisted #1

Wilde & Twisted

Rate this book
Silver-tongued lawyer, Linus Twist has expensive tastes. The sharpest suits, the purest drugs, and the dirtiest sex; Linus wants it all in excess, especially the sex, and especially with the wrong types of men. So when he impetuously follows a foxy redhead into the gym shower and gets kissed like it means something, Linus knows he's headed for certain disaster.

Finnigan Wilde is a dreamer, a wanna-be novelist, searching for himself. In love with the idea of love, Finn only knows what he feels. He woos Linus with lilacs, speaks to him in filthy poetry, and touches him like he doesn't care who's watching.

But can Linus set aside his sinister tendencies, his ambition, and one vital fact: that, as far as the world is concerned, Finn is straight?

Wilde & Twisted is a bisexual-awakening, opposites-attract novel, with a happily-ever-after. Oh, and pancakes!

Wilde and Twisted is one of the most unusual books I’ve read in a while. It was unusual in a very good way. Willow Erdem’s voice is very intriguing. Imagine Fredrick Backman writing MM romance it’s quirky but also magical.

‘Linus's palm is sure. The skin has the softness of dark earth under Finn's work-roughed fingers. It's civil, positively dignified, compared to their previous touches. Then why does all that softness, coupled with the cold metal of Linus's rings, feel obscene?’

Told in third person POV, Finn and Linus story is sexy and entertaining, but it’s the unique writing that kept me engaged the whole time. This book is definitely one of the stand outs this year.

I tried to push through but the writing style wasn't for me. Some people call it poetic but to me it was heavily descriptive with an over use of metaphors. If that style is your jam then definitely pick this one up.

Beyond stunning!

The storytelling is rich and full of lush words, delicious phrases, poetic justices. It's evocative and emotional in all the ways that make you think of grand ballads and classic romances of the mid-20th century. I don't know if I'm more in love with the language or the characters!

You'll hate Linus. I promise you will absolutely abhor him, until suddenly you will love him, want to protect him with every atom of your being, you'll feel for him, you'll champion him, and you'll fall to pieces wanting everything that he does. You will definitely hate his friends, they really are horrid.

You'll adore Finn. You'll want to know him, you'll understand him, you will want to be his friend, you'll wish you had his attention, you will never want to break his heart. You'll like most of his friends, they have his back.

This story had me salivating, I caressed every word like a slave and drew them deep into my soul. The imagery is stunning, the dance of love erotic and exotic and sultry and so, so sexy.

There are parts of this story that might make some people uncomfortable. Some of it is rather confronting. You will experience a visceral response to some of scenes. You will feel, you will react, you will ponder.

A stunning, stunning debut.

This is the author's debut and I was so happy to read the advanced copy.

CW: Cocaine use, discussion on mental health issues, past emotional and physical abuse, unhealthy coping mechanism, and past implied eating disorder

I must say, I haven't read any MM Romances similar to this one, and boy, I have read MANY MM Romance. This is a sunshine and grump, age gap romance. Our grump, Linus Twist, is damaged and hardened by his past. He doesn't believe that anyone could ever love him, and his lifestyle is sexy, drugs and law.

Our Sunshine, Finn Wilde, a writer, gym trainer, is "Straight" but he can't resist Linus. He treasures Linus. And wants to protect this older man who is so hell bent on not accepting love and care.

Chemistry: Some of the sexiest scenes I've ever read. They're poetic, raunchy and the dynamic between them is very open in power exchange. This book has fiery kisses, lots of detailed sex scenes, full of feels.

Beware though: Linus will make you angry and frustrated for the first 30% but slowly, he'll win u over.. 😍 😍 Also, if you enjoy verbose books with lyrical and poetic language that makes you feel like you're reading some classics with heavy descriptions, you will love this. The authors has great vocabulary. But I must admit, I am not one such reader. The book could have been atleast 50 to 75 pages shorter, especially in the beginning, and it would have been even better.

Lastly,

I was hooked at around 35% though, and I couldn't stop reading it.

A great debut. I will definitely read the next books by the author.

Damn this was a heavy one with toxic relationships, drugs, figuring out ones sexual identity , emotional, and working on ones mental health. Linus and Finn have an emotional roller coaster of a journey filled with passion and steam. I was rooting for them the whole time and want more so I'm so glad there will be a book 2 someday.

Coming back to leave an official review, since I've stalked the authors insta and picked the book back up because I didn't want to let them go yet.
This book was sexy as hell and just as filthy as I was hoping, but the characters were so wonderfully flawed and real and heartbreaking and managed to burrow in deep. I cant wait for more.

What a truly WILDE and TWISTED ride that was!

I inhaled this book like it was the oxygen I needed to survive my weekend. Right from the first chapter, Willow drew me in hook, line, and sinker, and I went along with absolutely no qualms. Linus and Finn reminded me of why I started reading romance novels. It was magnetism, and confusion, and soul-scorching love, and denial, and the ultimate realization that hits you right in the feels, and you hope to never survive the punch. There is so much I could say about their love story, but I really encourage everyone to go in blind because the experience is much more gratifying. Trust me.

Many times, while reading this masterpiece, I was hit with the realization that this is a debut novel! And every time I did, I was in awe at how beautifully written this was. Willow puts pen to paper, and illustrates with her words, the sights, sounds, and textures of each scene, and because of her incredible ability to do so, I FELT everything!! When I tell you, I have never highlighted so much of a novel in my life. It felt like I was consuming a delicious pastry and did not want to waste any crumb of it.

Case in point: “Linus’s mouth trembles, just a little, before Finn kisses him. It’s a reimagining. A reiteration. Soft as an inkling, slow as a mud-choked river, deep as twilight"

I was so engrossed in this book that I laughed when characters laughed, and cried when they cried. What a remarkable experience! Willow Erdem has knocked her debut novel out of the park and left me breathless! And I am seriously looking forward to book 2!

5+ "WRATH & THE FOXY REDHEAD" STARS!!!

Wilde & Twisted, I seriously don't even know where to start with this review. One of my all time favorite book for sure. This story touched me so much but the thing is, it isn't overly emotional at all. Different from other books, what truly touched me with this one wasn't the grand moments, even though there was a really amazing bar scene, it was the small ones. It was the tiny details some people will probably miss. It was the unspoken words, the soft touches, the trust to fall asleep, the rare smile/laugh that weren't so rare anymore. It was the care, the connection, the sweetness and the depth of feelings they felt for each other. I saw everything and I felt everything and that's actually so rare to happen.

I read so many books that sometimes I start to get numb to the stories, I get bored and I just want to finish them and get over it. But this author made me stop and really appreciate a book again. I had such a great experience reading this book, the best in years. There was no hurry, I read and reread many lines to truly get the full meaning behind it, I would read a chapter and then stop just to appreciate the smile on my face and the lightness in my heart.

You know how books can sometimes have the same cliches over and over again and you learn to get used to it even though they are already became kind of boring? Well, this book had none of them and it really surprised me. There were so many moments where the author could have created unnecessary drama, I was expecting it but she never did. The characters didn't need that, they were enough and their story was enough! It was beautiful in it's simplicity, their connection always spoke louder. Louder than words, fear, doubts, insecurity...They didn't let irrelevant things get in the way of what they felt for each other and you have no idea how much I loved that!!! It has been days since I finished this book but I'm still thinking about those characters frequently, I'm seeing them everywhere because they are just so freaking special.

Linus. My wrath disguised as lust. My perturbed, self-destructive, grumpy and disconnected baby. He was so misunderstood, no one truly saw him till Finn. He was challenging, frustrating, compelling, charming, intense...he could be so many things, good and bad, but if you took a moment to truly get to know and understand him, if you looked behind the mask he uses to protect himself you would see how special and unique he really was. Finn did that, he looked, he liked what he saw and no one could convince him otherwise. Linus grew so much during the book. Finn made him smile, trust, feel. He gave Linus peace and he bloomed with it.

Finn. My foxy redhead. My fellow anime lover. My little dreamer. He was such a nice and loving person. He had a creative and gentle soul that always saw the good in everything and everyone, even in a closed off arrogant lawyer. Linus scared him, their relationship scared him, but he never let that get in the way of his feelings. He could be scared and unsure but he wasn't ashamed, he wasn't insecure. Since that shower kiss Linus was it for him and he wouldn't hide it. He could be a sweetheart but he was so strong too.

The two of them together were fire, sweet and everything in between. This book seriously had some of the sweetest and hottest scenes I have ever read in my life, I mean can I ask for anything else? because I seriously don't think so. From their first encounter Finn and Linus' connection blew out of the pages. This book was the perfect burn where they truly got to know each other, they talked about anything and everything, even Linus who was super closed off he couldn't help but tell Finn everything he wanted to know, it was so cute. Together they were both strong and vulnerable, they were each other's safe haven. There wasn't a more dominant/submissive one, they adapted in the moment to give what each other needed, it was so freaking beautiful to see.

This book deals with so many things but above all else it's a story of discovering and accepting who you are, labels or not. It's about letting yourself feel everything, the good, the bad and the extraordinary. Finn and Linus are so real, raw and relatable. I felt everything they went through and I understood their every action because the author really allows you to see who they are deep inside and they are so beautiful, flaws and all.

I want to take a moment to talk about the writing in this book, I don't usually read books in third person but I can't imagine this being any different. I wouldn't change anything about this story and the writing was seriously the cherry on top. Every word in this book was meaningfull, it was beautiful, poetic, raw and unique. Willow made me laugh, cry, and smile so freaking much. She made me feel and I seriously couldn't ask for anything more. I would recognize her words anywhere and I can only really say that for one other author.

I need to stop talking but just know this story is one of a kind and it will stay with me for a long time. I would give it a thousand stars if I could. I'm so glad I have more of their story to look forward to, I can't wait to see what will happen next. I could keep reading about those characters forever!!!

"Sometimes, I think I never felt anything at all until I felt you."

4.2 ★

Omg this was such an amazing read !
Linus is self destructive and tortured. He sees everything in colour. Literally, like Finn's hair is red and Linus would think of million red things. It's cool !
Finn is a struggling novelist from Virginia who speaks in a poetic way, and when they both meet, it's explosive. They are something else and they make the pages heat.
Whatever I thought I would find in the book, all my expectations were blown away. I was enthralled by Linus and Finn's story.
They both were vulnerable and strong in their own ways. I couldn't help but fall for them both.
The story was just as good, albiet a bit too long. Willow Erdem's writing style is beautiful in a way that it touches your heart.
I can't thank her enough for providing me with an ARC !

“I like that you taste like the ocean and smell like thunderstorms.”

Wow, that was a wild ride 🔥

This is an amazing and impressive debut novel by Willow Erdem!
I loved and enjoyed every word of it.
I was captivated from chapter one and could not put it down until the last word!
But let yourself be warned:
This is not some fluffy, sweet lovestory, this is a steaming hot piece of art!
Shameless and provoking!
Hot and cold! Scorching hot and icy cold!

This is the story about Finn Wilde and Linus Twist.
Both men could not possibly be more different.

Linus Twist can have it all.
He is a successful lawyer, soon-to-be partner and living the life of the rich and beautiful in LA.
Fast and dangerous. Drugs and alcohol. Beautiful men and women.
Always on the run for the next kick. He is arrogant, intimidating, ruthless and irresistible.
And he knows it.
He is wearing his attitude like an armor.
What he does not do: feelings. Never again.

“I love you. I´ll hurt you. I´ll leave you. They were all the same. A simple chain reaction, an endless cycle. Never truer than now.”

Finn Wilde is a bit of a naïve daydreamer. Brokenhearted and dropped out of an Ivy League College, he fled to LA to chase his dream - to write novels.
With his easy smile, his lovely, sweet and innocent nature he is everyone´s favorite.

A few days after New Year, both their worlds collide and crush together in a steaming hot collision.
Like thunder and lightning.
Sparks fly, their attraction is irresistible.

“Something catches in Linus´s throat at the sheer emotion that flits through those eyes. White shock, pink awe, red fear, black desire.
As if in a dream, the redhead raises his hand and strokes his calloused thumb along Linus´s cheekbone.
Soft.”

The moment Linus´s eyes catch his gaze across the gym room, he is drawn to the pure and innocent beauty and charisma of young Finnegan Wilde and does not even try to resist this attraction.
Their first encounter: Hot, erotic and a bit of dangerous!

After Finn finds himself in an emergency situation, Linus discovers his protective side and offers Finn to stay with him - under certain conditions.
Soon, Linus must admit that Finn not only wormed his way into his life but also into his lost, cold heart.

Come and meet Finn&Linus in this brilliant debut novel by Willow Erdem.
Let yourself be drawn to both wonderful characters and fall in love with them.
Linus, so arrogant and dangerous, but also oh so lost and lovable when you manage to peek under his surface and Finn, so sweet and naïve, with his heart on his sleeve, in search of himself.
And on both their ways, they manage to find to themselves and their true love.

Amazing, wonderful, captivating and steaming hot!
Highly recommended!

Wilde & Twisted, the title says it all.
Linus Twist, truly twisted, self-destructive, tattooed, with an enrapturing accent, who sees the colour in everything, and Finn Wilde, ginger from Virginia, in search of himself while trying to be a novelist and understand why Linus is as compelling as he is. Both trying to understand the magnetic force that pulls them together.

If you want to read the typical story of an alpha male falling for a slightly more submissive man, this isn’t the book for you. There is no one exerting dominance over the other. Also, it’s not your typical story of a bi-awakening filled with angst and repression.
Simply put it is not a typical story.
So, before you start reading, set aside all your expectations, and just let our dear Finnigan Montgomery Wilde and the lovely LinusFuckingTwist take you on the ride. I promise it’s an extraordinary and definitely not disappointing one.

Linus and Finn are like a thunderstorm. Alone, there is thunder and there is rain. But put together you’ve not only got a destructible force, but you’ve got a beautiful, heartbreaking, and explosive thunderstorm that you just can’t help but enjoy.
So, if you’re looking for a book, that takes you apart word for word but also stitches you all back together, you’ve come to the right place. Right from the first chapter on, you know this book has the potential to destroy you, but don’t worry, it does so in a wonderful way.

This book is like nothing I’ve ever read before, and I’ve read thousands of books by now. It’s easily in the top 5 of my all-time favourites. It doesn’t compare to all the other books, and I’m still trying to understand why that is.

Willow’s writing is just beautiful. It’s not something you’ve seen before.
Not only Linus is silver-tongued and not only Finn speaks in poetry, but also the words are silver-tongued, and each completed sentence is poetry covered in lilacs itself.
Beautiful words wrapped in sharp sentences sprinkled with humour.
She put so much work into the story. Each word is chosen carefully, each sentence put where it fits best. Even the chapter titles are specially chosen.

Everyone knows those books, where you sometimes skip a passage because you know it’s just a description or something else, that doesn’t seem to be important to the story. You’re just waiting to get to the good part.
With W&T you don’t skip those passages. Not only, because they are all important, but you don’t even want to skip them, simply because they are as beautiful as Finn and Linus together. You’ll want to drink in every single word. And you just can’t get enough. Even though it’s a long book, it doesn’t seem that way, when you’re reading it. So don’t let the page number discourage you, should you only like short books.
With some books, 200 pages already seem like enough and you’re actually just waiting for it to end, so you can start the next book. When I was at 200 pages in W&T I thought to myself “how can I be 200 pages in, I feel like everything’s just beginning”. And at the same time, Willow doesn’t drag things along. So, you don’t ‘suffer’ through 200 pages until the good parts begin. No, the good part starts right away, and you don’t want it to ever end.

This book is like the softest silk paired with the strongest whiskey. You want to start slow, but always desire more and more, and before you know it, you’re sucked into the story and can’t let go. It wraps around your heart like a vine, sometimes letting you take a deep breath, but other times just keeping squeezing.

The way Linus engages in vice exquisitely, Willow told the beginning of their wonderful relationship (and luckily it is only the beginning) exquisitely.

I absolutely loved it.

Whoa! So, I was so kindly gifted a digital ARC of this dark and sexy novel. THANK YOU! My goodness I didn't even know I needed Wilde & Twisted in my life and now that I've had it I don't want to give it up. Linus and Finn will forever be tattoo on my heart. This novel was primarily focused on the characters and their development and did they develop! The growth from start to end was by far some of the best writing I've read. Their depths were realistic and relatable, heartbreaking and endearing. And SEXY AF! But, this is more than just a shmutty m/m romance novel. This book is all about what it means to love and be loved by someone else as well as yourself. It's about taking control of your own life and not letting the shitty decisions of other people tell you who to be. It's about not letting your past dictate your present and your future. It's about stepping into your own truth and learning to love and accept and release. As you read, you'll, in turn, fall in love WITH the MCs as they navigate the complexities of their realities. This book will wrap it's pages around your heart and never let you go. I'm SHOOK that this is Willow's first novel. Utterly shook. What a Wilde & Twisted ride (pun intended)!

This gem is set to release on July 7, 2021 and I would suggest grabbing your credit card and strapping in for the ride of your life.

FANTASTIC!

TW: drug use, cheating (it's a bit convoluted but at the start of the book Linus is occasionally sleeping with Al who is engaged to someone else. But I think he and Al were initially a couple so it's a mess lol) and sharing (the sharing isn't the main MCs but it's alluded to that Linus has basically slept with everyone of his friends circle at some point).

It took me a little while to get into the writing style but I thought this was a good accomplished first book.

I liked Finn instantly but Linus took me a while to warm to mostly due to the TWs I mentioned which usually would be a DNF for me, but the way it was written and described you could tell Linus was a mess and it didn't make me ragey like these topics usually do. In fact, by the end of the book I think I actually preferred Linus! Both MCs great and both had their own issues to work through and I thought this was done realistically - no quick fix.

I'm still not sure how I feel about Bennett or the rest of Linus's friends tbh but I did like Finn's support network of Ashe, Carmela and Fiona especially.

Brief warning:
I only realised at the end of this novel that there is actually a book 2 and I'm annoyed. I wouldn't have bothered if I knew. The book ends on a hfn and I would be happy to leave it there. I've developed a strong dislike for authors who stretch out couples for 2 books plus. I have yet to read a couple who needed more than one book and I'm tired of filler second and third books with nothing really happening or clunky drama just for sake of it (cough cough you know who you are).

Saying that, I did thoroughly enjoy this book and I am happy to leave Linus and Finn here as I liked the ending. Not every story needs an epilogue of 5 years later and marriage and kids. This felt like an organic natural conclusion to their story.

I must admit, when I first picked this book up, it took several chapters for it to really hook me. I am sincerely glad I stuck with it though because the story was worth it. At first, I didn’t like Linus (fucking) Twist at all. He was pompous, arrogant, and his actions didn’t really make sense to me. After I was finally introduced to Finn Wilde, and his character really drew me in.
Finn is an aspiring writer (relatable) who works as a trainer. He is a cupcake. That’s literally the one way he can be described. He is young and dumb, and doesn’t always make the best decisions, but who does? He is really sweet and patient. He deserves the world even though he pissed me off a few times.
Linus is a divorce attorney that is very clearly good at his job. Even though I hated him at first, he grew on me. After I started understanding his past more, I found myself forgiving of his all around asshole-ness (yes that’s totally a word). He is caring in his own way and very protective over the people he loves even though he doesn’t always know how to show it. Without spoiling it, I was very proud of a decision he made near the end. It was much needed.
This book has it all. Steam. Poetry. Fucked up, imperfectly perfect characters that you hate to love. My favorite kind of stories are about imperfect people. Real people have flaws. It’s important that they grow and own up to them in the story, which is exactly what happened. I appreciated the character growth. It was a Wilde (& Twisted) ride, but I would recommend it in the end.

I love happy endings and the synopsis of this book promised me one so I started quite calm. But oh boy, the journey was wild, angsty, painful, a bit dark. I appreciate a well deserved happy ending after the characters grow, heal, find more about themselves, and that's exactly what happens in this beautiful book!
Linus has a difficult past that's made his present one where he indulges in not very healthy stuff. He meets Finn, ginger extraordinaire, who is very different from him in many ways but that maybe, exactly for that reason, can be the one who makes him realise he can have more, that he deserves more. I loved tormented Linus so much, with his curls, his boots, his plants, even when the decisions he made infuriated me and I wanted to shake some sense into him. I loved Finn "I saw a man so beautiful I furiously stared at him" Wilde; a writer, a dreamer, with not many cares in the world. He's discovering new things about himself with every passing day, with every experience, with every SEXY experience *wink wink*. He's also a man on a mission, and his mission is LinusFuckingTwist. The road to happy town has a few obstacles, aka heartpain, but the destination makes it worth it.
The growth of both men was perfect and very believable. You cheered for them, you want them to be okay, happy and in love!

A story which stands out among many others.
The kind which can invite new readers to M/M genre. The characters, their personalities, their personal issues, circumstances, everything for that matter, is relatable for an average reader. The writing is raw with the right amount of fluff. I just haven't read a book where the author can weave her words like this. Makes you actually feel like paying the author to write more, just more.
And the bookworld, needs this new addition desperately, as this story breaks stereotypes and clichés, talks about issues that needs to be addressed in relationships and friendships and glimpses of social issues. Its not just the story of main characters, everyone remains memorable to the reader due to their quirks. They are also provided enough space for the reader to understand their relationship with the MCs.
This is a gem that is going to stay with me forever. I want to thank the author for having the strength the pull this story out of her head, fighting all anxieties and difficulties. Cause I know for sure, that this book is the kind that changes perceptions. A healthy relationship between a poetry shiting redhead fox and a sexy soft serpentine, just two people in love, you know, the real one [with quality smut]. Looking Forward to W&T2.

I’m not sure I’ll be able to find all the words to describe how I felt about this book. A story hasn’t consumed me this fully in a long time. And this one in particular had my entire attention. I know I’m going to be thinking about Linus and Finn for a long time.

Willow is a new to me author and this debut novel is *chefs kiss*. The writing was lyrical and poetic. There was a gentleness with the language that really had me falling for these characters.

Linus and Finn… more than anything I wanted that happy ending for both of them. Willow put these guys through it and it proved worth it in the end. They both have so much healing and growth ahead of them and you get so see that begin at the end of the book. I also just want to gush about all the hair touching that had me swooning.

I’m giving this a 6/5 stars. 5 stars plus a bonus star for incredible storytelling!

I can’t wait to see where Linus and Finn’s story goes and you better believe I’m pre-ordering that next book.

Some books are really enhanced by the use of figurative language. That said, a contemporary gay romance story between a personal trainer/aspiring novelist and a divorce lawyer is NOT the place for a story told almost entirely in figurative language and sentence fragments. I was beyond sick of bizarre imagery that didn't even make sense such as describing lungs as malfunctioning flashlights. What even?!?! All the descriptions of Finn's hair (both on his head and the rest of his body) were strange indeed. If it was his head hair, the author referenced blood while also calling him a ginger. His eyelashes were always referred to as pink, as was other body hair. Pink. Has the author never met a redhead? My favorite image from the book was when Linus purchased a 15 foot tall tree and had his best friend hold it on his lap on the drive home. Speaking of Linus, he was not a likeable character at all. Finn's characterization was all over the place.

A beautiful and emotional debut novel about two men, each with their own baggage, coming together with a fiery passion.

Linus and Finn were both very dimensional characters. Linus had a heartbreaking backstory that took front and center in how he portrayed himself on a daily basis and the epic center of every relationship he had. While Finn's upbringing was a bit more stable Linus opened his eyes after one encounter which made Finn question every relationship he ever had.

The book definitely had very high-highs and low-lows. I was always on the edge of my seat as to what would come next and how these two men would deal with it. I loved that even after Linus and Finn got back together, the story wasn't rushed to finish. Willow took her time and let the two men work out what happened and how to move forward which was very nice and gave the happily ever after much more depth

Angsty, but well written

I would've given this book four stars because I disliked the first third of the story where one of the main characters is just an a$$h0le the whole time, but the prose was so well done, I kept on reading.

The book is super angsty, so just a warning if that's not your thing. However I'm a huge fan of imperfect characters and character development, and this book definitely had that.

Linus doesn't think he deserves love, is afraid if love, and fills his time with self-destructive behaviors to help him avoid reality. Finn is naive country boy who wears his heart on his sleeve and also avoids reality. A spontaneous meeting in a gym shower stall has emotional consequences for both of them.

A compelling story of two confused souls finding each other and making it work. (Eventually.)

I received an arc in exchange for an honest review.

I thoroughly enjoyed this novel and it was a very unique reading experience. I loved the third-person style and Linus and Finn are just such precious characters.

The story follows Linus Twist, a lawyer with a flair for excess in every part of his life, whose life gets turned upside down when he meets Finn Wilde, an aspiring writer who works as a gym trainer. They start a relationship even though Finn is not sure how he identifies yet.

I loved the chemistry between Finn and Linus and how they interacted with each other. Linus is one of my favorite characters of all time and I loved his Irish influences. The relationship was awesome and I really enjoyed reading about it and see how it developed.

GROS MEGA COUP DE COEUR !!!!

Roulala...

Wow. This story really got to me. I absolutely love Willow Erdem's writing. It is beautiful and melodic, and she can make anything sound poetic whether something that's pleasurable or painful.

"I like that you taste like the ocean and smell like thunderstorms"

The story had me captivated, both the prose and what would happen. I didn't want to stop reading once I started. I was completely invested in Linus and Finn's story. And just when I thought my heart would burst from the feels, Willow had a knack for making me laugh.

"We don't kid about pancakes."

I loved this book and I will definitely read more of her work.

Finding a well-written piece of romance is like finding a unicorn; essentially, sometimes it can feel impossible. When I found Wilde & Twisted, I realized I had finally a piece of not just romance, but fiction, so well written and so pure that it bleeds sincerity in its darker moments and lighter ones equally, intimate and erotic moments as well as its moments of human connection and conversation outside of the sexual. The characters of Linus and Finn are people you root for, people you connect to and relate with, and the story itself practically turns its pages for you. It’s a must-read!
