This entry has a bit of a slow start towards actually getting good, but gets progressively better throughout. It introduces new interesting characters, gives the MC a harem problem to juggle, sets up for war that will likely be fun in the next entry, gives existing characters new abilities and backstory, and involves an interesting heist plot. Definitely a fun book. Do not read without reading first two entries though, as most of the interpersonal plot will be impossible to understand without reading the first two books.
Too much focus on characters that are not the main character. When I read LitRPG I read to see the mc cultivate and become more powerful not romantic relationships or long battles that go on forever. I’ll try to read the next book but if it has the same pacing and foci as this book I’ll probably give up.
Definitely feeling like a Webnovel at this point especially without having any resolution at the end of this book. It feels like the cultivation system for the MC is to simply have fortuitous encounters. I wish that more focus was spent on the MC. I’m interested in him and his progression but we get a lot of random bad guys with the spotlight.
Maybe it's me just not vibing with this series so I don't want to trash it. But I find it kinda boring and I don't think I will continue to read it. I gave it four stars only because a book really has to be bad before I will deliberately hurt book sales.
