This book has potential, the blurb is good and captured my interest. Emma is happily married to Max, but it is a family event that brings HIM back into her orbit. Jase, the best friend’s brother, a teenage crush, and now a Famous musician. His return is disrupting Emma’s life, her feelings are conflicted, and her head is confused.

Jase and Emma had a moment six years ago. Did he feel the same about her? Are the sparks still there? Will he let her get away this time?

I wanted more, more backstory, more angst, and remove some predictability. I am not sure if it is the translation, as the author’s native language is German is causing my problems. I will continue to read this author and look for more of her books.

Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

I wanted to love this story but it just missed the mark. I think this had potential to be what I had hoped for, but it landed far out in left field.

I really needed to know and understand the relationship between Jace and Emma before the wedding when they see each other again. All we are told is that they shared a kiss six years ago. That’s it. I just found it hard to believe that there was an unrequited love between them worth leaving her current marriage for. It didn’t feel like a true second chance love story.

I didn’t care for any of the characters in this book. Not one. Jace came across as creepy, possessive & immature. He sucked her neck so much he left several bruises to mark her as his, but she’s married.

Emma had weeks to try to communicate with her husband to let him know she has been cheating on him, but then Jace decides to go on national tv instead and announce it to the world before they’ve even told their families they are together.

I was teetering on 3 stars until I got to the Epilogue. I just thought that naming their baby after his pet name for Emma was weird. Which was Peaches, btw. They shared a lot of intimate moments while he was whispering and calling her Peaches in her ear. Eww!
It was also pretty predictable that her best friend, Faith was having an affair with her husband Max.

It just didn’t make for a feel good ending that I enjoy. Emma and Jace were just two selfish people who lusted after each other. But it made it ok I guess since Max (her husband) was sleeping with her best friend anyways. 🙄

I knew going into this book it would have cheating, and since I was prepared for that I was ok with it. But for me, the cheating just didn't ring true here. Literally in the very first chapter, the h is lamenting on how great her husband is and how amazing their sex life is, but as soon as the H comes back into her life -- whom hasn't been around for YEARS -- she yeets her husband off the island. It just didn't ring true to me.

I had a hard time finishing this one. I knew there was cheating going in, but it felt so weird and unrealistic. It seemed like Jace pressured Emma when she was already seemingly happy. I also couldn’t connect the dots between Emma’s relationship with her husband in the beginning of the book and how quickly she started to doubt her marriage once Jace was back in the picture. I did enjoy the writing itself, but had trouble connecting to the characters. *I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

"Rocking your World" ist tatsächlich ein Debütroman.

For Emma and Jace it wasn't the right time for them.Jace was on the cusp of stardom, Emma was his sister's best friend but after six years now seems to be the right time, sort of. Everything would be okay but Emma has a husband now. The chemistry between Emma and Jace is magnetic and Jace is swoony with his gestures. If you aren't a fan of cheating then I suggest you pass on this story.

He is the boy who left home for fame and chasing his musical dreams over following his heart and finding love. He knew then that he wasn't ready for the love that a life with Emma could hold, but he is now. He has been gone for over five years now, but there hasn't been a day when she hasn't crossed his mind, she is the woman he wants, and he always gets what he wants!

But things are a little complicated... her heart belongs to another man.

Rocking You World is a story of second chances, following your heart, and finding your forever. This love story comes with many complications, as our heroine is married and finds herself reunited with an old love and wanting to explore what still lingers between them. It's then that she realizes that maybe she doesn't love the man she promised forever to as much as she thought. It's a messy situation, one that no one will come out of unscathed, but there is love to be discovered there. You just have to have a little patience.

I am probably one of very few to say this, but I liked that this one had a cheating aspect in it, as we all know love isn't perfect and sometimes it finds you when you're not quite ready for it, and it leads you to make poor decisions. But in reality that is life, people cheat, and I sometimes feel that love stories are just too perfect, they sometimes need to be messy to feel realistic and palpable, and this story demonstrates that. It was a necessary aspect for the story to be told the right way, and some will disagree with me, but I liked what the pages held here, it was believable, emotional, and gave us the happily ever after that we all crave! Highly recommend this one, it's a perfectly imperfect love story!

I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.

Emma is a wild and passionate woman who has turned off all her inhibitions next to a man who cannot understand her and who at the same time loves her very much. But precisely because the charming Max has always been an excellent husband, it is not easy for her to leave something comforting like a Linus blanket, for something mysterious and dark.
From her side, Jace has no doubts about her. He is single, beautiful, and ever since he meets Emma he is certain of it: she will belong to him.
So we are witnessing a perennial tug of war. On the one hand, Emma who cannot give in to her feelings and Jace who does everything to tear down the walls she builds around him.
So in Emma two furies are unleashed, or rather, a hurricane of possibilities: guilt and desire, in an intriguing and sexy tangle of emotions that certainly will not bore the reader.
Autumn St. James convinced me right away. Despite struggling with her first novel, her reading is fresh and interesting. Like so many authors now, she chooses the verbal form of the first person, with the point of view of only the two protagonists and she does a great job of involving you immediately in the narration.
The plot flows fast and clear. Twists never fail and getting lost in Jace and Emma's thoughts really gets you inside their head. Although they are feelings destined to make someone suffer, you cannot help but cheer in their love and their happy ending. It's a story that makes you have faith in second chances and the need to follow what you believe in. What to say? I can only advise you to get lost in the pages of this wonderful reading, I'm sure you won't regret it.

I really wasn’t too sure about this book to start with. Not because it deals with cheating but more because of the hero Jace’s attitude. He hasn’t seen Emma, the heroine and his sister’s best friend, since she’d left for college several years before. They hadn’t been in a relationship just one kiss as she was leaving that could have developed into more but he was too set on his dreams of stardom to actually do anything to flame the spark of attraction they had both felt. Fast forward six years and he’s back home for his parent’s vow renewal when he sees Emma and instantly knows that she’s the one thing missing from his life. He didn’t care that she was apparently happily married and to me, he pressurised her, muscling in on her job as a teacher. From the parts of the book showing Emma and her husband Max together they had a good marriage with a healthy physical relationship. He didn’t appear neglectful or abusive towards her in any way. Jace just wanted her and nothing was going to stand in his way making him come across as being quite immature. I did appreciate that Emma was conflicted . She had been attracted to Jace even before the kiss but still genuinely loved her husband and didn’t want to hurt him. The only thing that saved this book for me was the impression that Emma wasn’t the only one cheating but I’ll have to wait for the next book to be sure of my suspicions.

Rocking Your World by Autumn St. James is a second chance rockstar romance. Emma and Jace are finding love all over again. I was excited when I read the blurb and I am always ready to find new to me author.

I don't mind cheating in romance at all PROVIDED the author does it right. And I expected that angst, the doubts, the inner battles here. And I didn't find it. I expected Jace and Emma to have this great back story in depth that would make me feel for them. But it was missing. They had a moment six years back before Jace had to leave for his career. And he is back in town and their paths cross. Emma is now happily married to a cop but Jace thinks he can win her over.

Now that is what threw me off. The story begins with Emma and her husband showing how in love they are and how strong their chemistry is and in the very next chapter, as soon as Emma meets Jace, she starts having thoughts about him. I could never connect with Emma. I somehow like Jace.

It was sexy and sometimes emotional. But it missed the mark for me.

A rock star and his muse!

The premise of the book is good and I'm okay with a romance that has cheating in it ... but this one just missed the mark for me. I liked Jace and his dedication to winning Emma over. I found Emma's character wishy washy ... she loved her husband Max so much and their marriage was so great until the minute Jace reappeared, but she didn't really want him either. I found at times a chapter could have been expanded, while other times a situation seemed to drag on or didn't relate to the story whatsoever. But the intimate scenes were very steamy.

Six years ago Jace left Emma behind to follow his dreams of becoming a rock star. Now that he has achieved his dreams, he's missing something ... Emma. Emma is happily married to Max now ... but when she sees Jace again, those old feelings come rushing back.

This is the first in a new series. Jace left town 6-years-ago to follow his dreams and is now the lead singer in a world-famous rock band, but there is never a day which Emma does not cross his mind. Emma is Jace’s sister best friend, and she is happily married to Max. When Jace comes back to town for his parents wedding, Emma is left confused and conflicted over her feeling for Jace, and the chemistry between them is intense. This is a good story which is enjoyable, and with family, emotions, 2nd chances, challenges, and love, which leads to a compelling page turner. The only downside and this is in my opinion only, is that I felt the story was too rushed. However, I look forward to reading more from this talented author and I recommend her work.

This is a rockstar, second chance romance. Emma is married and happy or so she thinks and Jace, now back in her life isn’t willing to let her go like he did six years ago.

I was really looking forward to this book but it just didn’t hit its mark, honestly. Some chapters felt dragged on for way too long while others could have been longer.

The storyline with Emma’s husband also made no sense for me. I just didn’t like how that it ended up going, it felt as if it was just thrown in there for no reason.

I was close to just not finishing the book but pulled through. I expected much more and was left disillusioned. However, I will say there were some cute and steamy scenes between Emma and Jace but that’s probably it.

I received an arc from the author and Grey’s promotions in exchange for my honest review.

This was a quick read that was enjoyable. Jace is a famous rockstar that several years ago shared a kiss with his sisters best friend. They haven’t seen each other since, but he can’t get her out of his head. Emma never forgot the kiss or passion she shared with Jace. Emma is now married and claims to be happy. Now that Jace is back she is having second thoughts about how happily married she really is. As these two work on a project together, feelings come bubbling up. These two quickly decide what they want to do with those feelings. I enjoyed How passionate Jace was about Emma. I just Wish Emma was more honest with her husband. I’m looking forward to reading the next book to get more of his story!

I love rockstar romance and a second chance at love, so I figured this was the best of both worlds! I don’t mind cheating when it’s a second chance romance however I’m not a fan of villianizing the current partner. Not everyone who cheats cheats on a jerk.
Further, while I liked the premise of best friend’s brother who shared a kiss and had always had intense chemistry, I would have loved to dive deeper into that past earlier in the story. I felt like I jumped into the book halfway through the story and was thrown. I did like Jace’s intensity and dedication but he just didn’t click for me… Emma is definitely, as another review said, wishy washy and I just couldn’t relate or like her!
Overall if you want a quick, passionate read then this could be the book for you!

Sad to say this new-to-me author didn't deliver. The premise held huge promise for me but overall the story got out of hand and none of it made sense. Even with skimming most of the book, I was able to glean exactly what was happening and that right there says it all.

The characters were pleasant enough on their own but their actions, especially together, were almost juvenile and ridiculous. I'm all for an unrequited love that finds its happily ever after but Jace and his Peach went about it all wrong from the very start.

And the ending didn't surprise me one bit and was almost silly although I guess I'm glad two secondary characters weren't completely left behind by our selfish couple.

2 stars.

I was provided an ARC and this is my honest review.

Honestly, I wanted, no NEEDED a bit more. I had high hopes for something more dramatic, but it ended up being more predictable than surprising. I don't believe I've read anything from the author before, but I still want to see what other work the author has.

Rocking Your World  by Autumn St.James

Ok so I don’t really know how to feel about this book. In a way I enjoyed it because it was a hood story but I couldn’t completely connect with this book. I don’t like the cheating aspect of the story yet I like the strong connection between Emna and Jace. I honestly do t know how I feel yet I enjoyed the story without the cheating.

Loved the concept of this story but found it hard to read at times. I found that some things were passed through with too little information. The bedroom scenes were fire though.
