Book 1: The Wrong Brother 5 Stars Piper has been in love with Preston since High School. She's always known they are destined to be together and she's determined to open his eyes to see the same thing. Preston however really only sees Piper as a friend. After taking a leap and crash landing Preston's older brother Calvin jumps in (like always) to pick up the pieces. As things start fitting together Piper begins to open her eyes and her heart to a whole new possibility.
This story has great relatability. I think many of us have been in a situation where we had a crush that was one-sided. I really enjoyed reading this story and seeing how much Piper changed and became herself rather than what she thought someone else was looking for.
Book 2: Marrying My Best Friend's BFF 5 Stars Preston has always been a playboy. He was shocked to find out his best friend was in love with him but was happy she found her forever with his brother. The absolute last thing he expected was to find out just how quickly he got hooked on Riley.
I love these characters. The whole cast is fantastic. They have an off-the-charts chemistry and are written where their fun sideshows as well. Might be my new favourite Alexis Winter book! ❤️
Book 3: Rocking His Fake World 5 Stars I couldn't get enough of Luna and David. They are the type of characters that sizzle on the page. Alexis Winter writes a quick and fast easy to read story that can easily distract you for a couple of hours. The chemistry between them will reel you in and make you smile, I know it did for me.
Book 4: Breaking Up with My Boss 4 Stars This book grows on you. I really didn't like seeing Matthew's manipulation in the beginning. The story just didn't flow at first, maybe I had a hard time jumping from Poppy being fired to him showing up at her place and forcing her to move in with him and pretend to be engaged. I would have liked to see a lot more of their relationship and the explosive butting of heads that was implied.
Once you get past the first couple chapters and start to get a feel for both Poppy and Matthew the pieces to fall into place. This is a true story of how opposites attract and how embracing those difference instead of just trying to change them actually make both parties better. Matthew's family added a new dynamic and you could understand him better after being introduced to his father. Poppy shows so much more spunk in her internal monologue that only the reader is privy to. I really liked how she continued to find ways to be herself, even something as small as repainting her nails (not so small from Matthew's POV!).
Book 5: My Accidental Forever 5 Stars Foster has been living his life a bit on cruise control. His parents have a direction his life is planned to go. He's supposed to marry a specific girl (Bianca), settle down and start a family and eventually take over the family company. The problem is neither Forster nor the girl his parents chose to want to get married, he wants to sow his oats and she wants to focus on her carrier. Both are unwilling to have that serious talk with their parents though, worried about the fallout.
Harley is a bit of a free spirit. All of her friends are growing up, getting engaged and even starting families but she wants none of that. Sure it would be nice to have someone but not the strings that come with an attachment. At the bar, Foster sees a bit of her wild side and gives Harley his number thinking she looks like fun, imagine his delight when she calls him just a few hours later needing to be bailed out of jail. This pretty much sets the tone for their non-relationship relationship. She throws him outside his comfort zone more than once (two words: Adventure Park!) and even though she's opposite the women he normally goes after he just can't get enough of her. When they wind up married after a weekend in Vegas it turns out harder to dissolve than they expect. Not only that both start realizing that maybe this whole thing is more than they're willing to admit.
I really enjoyed the dynamic and full-on personality of Harley. She really brings out the fun side of life and makes you realize that sometimes you have to take chances and actually live for yourself instead of trying to be what someone else wants. Foster shows us that even when it looks like we have everything under control we still need a good push to set us on the right path. Walking the easiest path is not always the best choice.
Book 6: The F It List 5 Stars Grayson is perfection. He likes Cora for two years before he really even got a chance to be real friends. Readers could see his true feelings from the start and get the satisfaction of watching Cora realize her own.
Even though they were not technically a couple for like 80% of the book their relationship always seemed organic and comfortable. They meshed together even without labels or defining what they were. We see Grayson's patience and Cora's determination.
That's not to say they didn't encounter any hurdles on their journey. They could have saved some time by just being more open with one another.
Book 7: The Baby Fling 4.5 Stars Bianca is very career-driven, she had big, bold ideas but can’t get the chance to prove how good they are. Her family has her life planned out and she tells some lies to try and get them off her back.
Brett is also career-focused but he didn’t come across as jaded, he has a softness to him and is willing to pretend and embrace Bianca’s lie.
I enjoyed getting both POVs because it took me inside the story. Brett was more likeable than Bianca but I admit she grew on me.
The wrong brother - Book 1 Piper has always had a crush on her best friend Preston. However, his older brother, Calvin is always there for her when things go wrong. After a drunken kiss with Preston, Piper signs them both up to appear on a reality tv show so that she can tell him how she really feels. Calvin is once again there to pick up the pieces after the show is aired. What Piper doesn't expect is that she begins to have feelings for Calvin who is already in love with her. They keep blossoming affair a secret from Preston and their respective parents. Inevitably their affair is discovered at a family get together. Some laughs along the way as Piper and Calvin try to hide what is going on between them. Marrying my best friend’s BFF - Book 2 I felt sorry for Preston in book 1 of this series as his brother Calvin got his girl. When Piper and Calvin introduce Riley, a work colleague of Piper's to Preston as prospective godparents to their new baby, Calvin warns Preston not to get involved with Riley as they are both close friends with Piper and he doesn't want playboy Preston to hurt Riley. However, as Preston and Riley get to know each other, they realise they have a lot in common and they can't stay away from each other. Keeping their blossoming relationship a secret becomes a humorous challenge. Preston, unused to staying with a woman for any length of time gets cold feet and suggests some time apart from Riley. Inevitably the chemistry is too strong and the pair reach a happy conclusion. Looking forward to the next in this series. Rocking his fake world - Book 3 Hot lawyer Daniel falls for rock chick Luna. Luna is working in a music store when Daniel calls in to buy a guitar for his niece. The chemistry between them is instant and they end up spending a hot night together. Despite the difference in their two worlds they cannot keep away from each other. Luna sings in a band whose career is just taking off and throughout the story we are left guessing at how these two will survive together once Luna goes on tour. Some truly touching moments when they first part. Loved reconnecting with the other two couples in this series too. Breaking up with my boss - Book 4 Poppy, feisty, independent lady works as Matthew's assistant. He is hot and rich but a very uptight lawyer. Poppy aggravates him with her tardiness and sloppy working attitude and she eventually tells him she is quitting as he is firing her. She exacts her revenge on his prize possession. The trouble is Matthew doesn't really want to see the back of her so he dreams up an excuse to make her his fake fiancée. She accepts to stop him reporting damage she caused to the police. Once he has moved her into his apartment the chemistry between them ignites. Love Matthew's grandmother plus the initial spa treatment Matthew sends her for. Great read. My accidental forever - Book 5 Harley meets Foster while she is on a drunken night out celebrating her friend's engagement. Harley gets herself arrested and the only number she has is Foster's on his business card. After he has bailed her out he has to take her home with him until she can get her things from her friend the next day. They start a fling together despite the fact that Foster is supposed to marry Bianca (an arranged marriage by his and Bianca's parents). As he spends more time with Harley and develops feelings for her, Foster realises that he should try and get out of marrying Bianca. Some funny and endearing moments as well as some hot chemistry between Harley and Foster make this a really good read. The F it list - Book 6 Cora has just finished her last relationship when she was left at the altar. She sits in her break room at work when Grayson comes in and finds her working on a list of things she wants to do now she is single again. Once he has seen the list he offers to help her. Some golf follows plus some camping, fishing and training for Cora to run a marathon. Grayson also offers to help her with her more intimate item on the list. A relationship develops although both are wary at first plus her ex, Jimmy tries to throw a spanner in the works. Great addition to this series. The baby fling - Book 7 Bianca is driven by her desire to work for her family company and Brett is driven to race motorbikes. Neither have time for a relationship. However, they meet at a fund raiser and their chemistry is instant. But both are too busy to keep seeing each other as Brett is always travelling and Bianca is always working. Bianca is also trying to keep her mother from sending her on dates with prospective husbands. So she keeps seeing Brett when he is in town and tells her parents that she is seeing him. Some comic moments when Brett meets the parents and Bianca has some unexpected news make this another thoroughly entertaining read in this series. Read an ARC of all seven books for an honest review.
The "Love You Forever" series is amazing & the vibes are off the charts, especially the chemistry between the hero & heroine. The hardest decision when you get this box set is deciding which novel you want to read first! I have previously read all 7 of them as individual ARCs & found each one as amazing to read as the previous one.
They are entertaining, romantic, light-hearted & page-turners, keeping you interested in the story right from the beginning to the last page. Once you start reading, you’ll find it’s going to be “can't put this one down”, “just one more chapter” type of novel. Each book will leave you happily content with a smile on your face when you reach the last page.
It doesn’t matter which scenario the hero & heroine meet, whether they start as enemies, re-united after a long absence from seeing each other again or falling for the wrong brother, they all have a common thread – a HEA!
I previously read each of these novels as separate ARCs & this is my general review of this box set.
A lovely boxset containing different wonderful, lovely stories. Each book has its own unique characters either as friends or enemies to friends kind of relationship. I have read each story differently as an ARC and happy that it's out as a boxset. Definitely a page turner and a must read. I'm happy to leave a an honest review for this boxset.
I chose two stars because of the terrible editing. I finished the first book then continued on to the second book hoping the bad editing would end with first book. But it did not, so I decided to just move on.
Why are books published like this?!! It could have been a decent story.
I loved these seven stories, and buying them in a collection makes them really good value. There were plenty of feelings, happiness and humour, in this series.
