Hellfire Club #5

Sweet Devil

Rate this book
People like to say the devil made them do it…

And they would be right. I can bend anyone to my will. After all, I am the devil of Pembroke Prep.

Only one person dares defy me. The one person I’ve ever wanted to be an angel for. But she despises me almost as much as I crave her.

Serafina Van Doren is the one temptation I can’t indulge, not with the secrets that I keep. But with the clock running out maybe it’s time to tempt her to the dark side.

Everyone loves to dance with the devil at least once, right?

Sera and Rhys's story...
I wasn't expecting this...
It's a deep book, though it starts with a lot of fun.
It made me laugh...
But it made me drop a few tears...

description

Almost perfect, but it missed a few things.
Lennox was with Aurora and his sister.
Aurora is his sister, so I "guess" Becker wanted to write Sloane, but are these little things that makes the book lose some "points", and these were not the only time, it happened once or twice more.
And, one and another thing in the book, I can't say because it will spoil it.

description

Rhys is always challenging Sera, until he makes her lose her mind, and it becomes an open war between the two of them.
It made me laugh the things they did to each other, it was inevitable to fall into one another arms.
Rhys wants to keep Sera away, but everything he does, only brings her close.

description

At the middle of the book, the story changes, it becomes heavier.
We have a glimpse of what Rhys hiding and why he is so distant from his friends.
Oh, I've loved Sera's grandmother.

description

All the books have an extra chapter, which I think it's great.
We can see what happen to all of them forward.

description

All I can say is that Rhys is not what he shows to the world, and sweet devil is the right name for him.
But we have already seen that before.
The way he helped Aurora.
The way he helped Lennox and Sloane.
It's not the conventional way, but it did help 😂 😈

1.5*
rounded up only for the sweet hero

THIS COULD HAVE BEEN SO GOOD IF NOT FOR THAT DAMN SHORT LENGTH
😤😤😤😤😤😤😤

Is there a rule that a book in this series can't be longer than 200 something pages? Because here it was a disservice to the entire story and character arc. It reminds me why I gave up on previous books in the series, because this is not how you care about your craft. It reeks of a quick way to make some money with a total disregard for characters.

SPOILERS AHEAD

The hero was the only good thing in this book, but even HE wasn't explored to the maximum. He fell for the heroine at 14 and this dude never looked at another woman. He was a total virgin, super devoted and obsessed, which was so good 😍😍😍
BUT
That's the only thing this book has going for it.

Let's start with the heroine.
She's Black (and for some reason, you get reminded of that constantly).
I understood her situation with her home, that while she was also rich she was under more scrutiny because of her skin color. All valid points. Where this author lost me is trying to overturn a stereotype but basically just reformulating it.
The heroine is angry. Very ANGRY.
She's also into angry sex. And dominating the guy.

The first sex scene was so awkward, both were virgins, but the heroine was the attacker . It made me cringe so bad, because it didn't seem very organic. The hero was made out to be a damsel in distress.
He was on his back and the heroine put his dick inside her and fucked herself on it. HE was the more reluctant one about losing his virginity 🤣🤣
Maybe I'm too used to more dominant men in books, but that didn't do it for me.
I saw how the author was trying to walk a fine line between making the hero be ok with being dominated while also giving him some alpha characteristics, but for me, it didn't work.

NOW THE DRAMA

The hero has a cancerous tumor in his brain and he only has about 6 months left to live and refuses treatment.
He finally accepts treatment because he has a sudden epiphany at the end of the book, but there was NO INTERNAL CONFLICT.
NOTHING
How do you treat a sensitive subject like this like it's any other plot point. It's where you can clearly see the author had no interest in drawing it out or doing justice to it.
There's also no long term epilogue. We know six months after he still lives and proposes to the heroine, and there's a maybe his tumor has shrunk enough for surgery.
NO CONFIRMATION
WHAT IN THE LIVING HELL IS THAT???????
YOU GIVE ME A SEMI-DEAD HERO AND THEN YOU DON'T TELL ME IF HE STILL LIVES? IF THEY GET A HEA?

THIS IS WHAT I CALL LAZY WRITING.

Safety: both virgins, heroine had a bf but they only kissed. The rest, they are each other's first for everything else.

if he doesn’t embarrass you in front of everyone on your birthday, follow you around like a lost puppy, acquire keys to your dorm room, break into said dorm room whenever the mood strikes, invade your privacy by reading your personal diary, then proceed to publish extracts from said diary all over the school newspaper (the very school newspaper you write the editorials for, by the way) to humiliate you some more, and, when that isn’t enough, take and send photographs of pages from said diary to everyone at school, does he even love you? i think not.

anyway… 2 stars for sweet devil, but 5 stars for my boy, obsessed, saved-himself-for-her-after-seeing-her-once-when-he-was-fourteen-years-old, virgin king, rhys huntington.

“Not time—I fell in love with Sera the moment I saw her in our first year at Pembroke Prep. But patience. Because if loving her was the only gift I would allow myself, then goddammit, I was going to do it thoroughly. I was going to love every hidden corner of her. Even the corners she hid from herself.”

ugh i was so excited for this book but god i just couldn't connect. i love rhys <3 i love serfina <3 i love my black queen and my sweet devil but goddamn it, i think the writing was just not for me.

it was going so well up until the 30% mark. idk i just didn't want to read it. i was stuck i wasn't feeling it. even though i love them?? idk i'm just so disappointed. i might give it a try again later on in life but for now, this was just not it.

I've been shipping Sera and Rhys since the first hellfire story so I was anxious to get my hands on this story. Unfortunately I have to give it a 3.5-4/5. The writing was great but as is the usual case with Becker Gray's stories, it was too short and needed more fleshing out in some areas. I found that the emphasis was put on the "problem" and not enough on the relationship. Serafina and Rhys's relationship was like the snap of a rubberband....the commencement stretched out but the actual connection was over in a snap. The I love yous and connection was too fast was for me. It would have been so much better if there had been some detailed push-pull and detailed tension. After all that teasing and anticipation, this felt like a let down.

Serafina van Doren - the beautiful black heiress and queen whom everyone at Pembroke looks up to did not come across as the charismatic influencer she was in the previous stories. Her own story didn't do her justice unfortunately. Her character was glossed over and aside from a couple of silly pranks, her personality doesn't shine at all. She engages in a rivalry with Rhys, the purpose of which even she doesn't understand. Rhys steals and shares her most intimate thoughts about him, for which she retaliates.

Rhys- hot, rich "playboy" and leader of the Hellfire club has been in love with Sera since he met her 4 yrs ago. They've always had chemistry but Rhys refuses to give in because of his "secret". But suddenly he decides to give in after 4yrs of denying themselves. Rhys wants to make Sera stronger and gauds her into pulling stupid pranks in retaliation for his own pranks....it's very immature and I'm not sure that it would have any impact but Sera supposedly blossoms through it all. I was frustrated with how fast Rhys turned into a simp and becomes a Hallmark hero....a total antithesis to his true nature....totally disappointed.

Problem - Rhys cannot be with Sera because of his "secret" and tries his best not to begin a relationship with her in order to save her pain. But they do come together practically overnight. Then the rest of the story focuses (too much) on righting the "secret". Then there is another random problem of a stalker that pops up and is solved which totally detracted from the rest of the story....it's only purpose being one of the catalysts that sets Rhys straight.

I was disappointed that not enough focus was on Sera and Rhys's budding romance, feelings, interactions etc. I'm used to Becker Gray's shorter stories but the pacing and emphasis was off. Finally, everything works out Hallmark style and there is a HEA.

Another fantastic story from the Hellfire Club! I was so ready to get into Rhys and Serafina's story! I could not WAIT to see what their deal was..... well it threw me for a loop! I was not expecting THAT to happen! There was some great suspenseful stuff happening. I was totally captivated and could not put it down! Serafina is a total badass and Rhys had to help her bring it out, which was SO much fun to read about! They banter that these 2 have that would then turn into a 🔥 moment was just AWESOME! I am so in love with this series, and while I know that it is the end of this class of Hellfire guys.... I am hoping to get some more from the next class! Loved it so much! Definitely would recommend for anyone that like YA/NA books!

This was a great installment to the series. I have been interested in reading Serafina and Ryes story since the beginning. Wanting to see what makes Ryes tick and what is hidden beneath his cold exterior.

This book defiantly gave answer to all the questions I’ve had about these two… while giving us a chance to really get to know them. There were some heartbreaking moments mixed into this one… which was nice to see the authors delve into… I really felt the emotional connection these two developed along the way.

Overall this is a great NA book. If you’ve been curious about these two like I have I defiantly recommend.

This was probably my most anticipated read in this series... the story of Serafina, queen bee of Pembroke Prep and Rhys, resident bad boy extraordinaire.
I'll start by saying that this book will probably appeal more to younger audiences than it did to me.
I read the entire series and I was anticipating a different kind of romance between these two.
There are some fun bits because they start a prank war that only rich kids with little regard to consequences could pull off.
Each one has family drama that explain their behavior and Rhys is even a bit of a stalker. But I wasn't impressed with their chemistry to be honest.

Safety: 3+ explicit scenes, trigger warning for loss of a loved one

Becker Gray kept the most heartbreaking and angsty and soulful love story for the last one in Hellfire Club Series. Serafina and Rhys are the epic enemies to lovers couple for sure. The sinful, emotional and heartaching love story of Van Doren queen and the devil of Pembroke Prep is definitely my favourite of the series.
.
Serafina Van Doren has always kept herself in line with certain rules and expectations because she is the Van Doren princess and with the name comes responsibilities. She kept herself restrained. And Rhys Huntington, the devil of their school and one of the Hellfire Club king is the only one who can break her reserved self. He is determined to tease her till she shows her fierce side. They have a electric magnetic chemistry and Serafina doesn't know how to deal with it. But Rhys has secrets and he really cannot keep Serafina as his.
.
Serafina is an exquisite heroine. She may come from a rich, aristocratic and powerful family but since she is black, she has to tread carefully. The authors subtly showed that money and power doesn't reduce the issues with skin colour. She is smart and soft and kind and compassionate. She tries so hard to live up to her parents' expectations and I felt so bad that she is never appreciated. And Rhys brought her walls down to expose the fierce queen inside. Who can win anything and can go into any war and stand up for herself. What can I say about Rhys? Like how perfect is this gorgeous boy? Yes, he is c0cky. Arrogant. Teasing and taunting and playing games. But his secrets broke me. BROKE ME. To a sobbing crying emotionally wrecked state. He really has the biggest heart behind that cold emotionless exterior. He carries the burden silently and never let anyone see the bleeding dying parts. My crazy emotional broken boy and All I want to do is hug him and protect him. Like Serafina. She fought hard enough for both of them and never gave up. They tried to hurt each other and one up each other and it was one long exciting foreplay for sure. They basically love each other so much but too stubborn to accept that and that's why pretend to hate each other. At the end, I realised how much I will miss the boys and their queens. It was definitely bittersweet and the authors saved the best for the last.

Hellfire Club by Becker Gray is one of my all time favourite new adult series ever. And you cannot miss Sweet Devil.

Becker Gray just completely owned my heart and soul with this book!! Gahhh! I cannot articulate how much I loved Rhys and Seraphina’s love story. It’s equal parts heart and angsty and complete perfection.

I’d been looking for Ward to these two since the very beginning. I knew they would bring the fire I craved and they did not disappoint. I won’t give anything away, but be prepared to laugh out loud at some of their antics, swoon until you faint, and leave your heart at the devil’s feet because this is awesomeness!

10 / 10 recommend! This is my favorite of the series, but don’t tell Keaton. lol

The story we’ve all been waiting for at last is upon us, and Becker Gray does not disappoint. The fiery socialite Serafina and the roguish psychopath Rhys at last have their love story- and they are everything I expected and yet nothing at all. I have just adored the Pembroke Prep Series from start to finish. This poetically written and dramatically juicy, gossip-girlesque new adult series is just brimming with young love angst, elite world antics, fascinating characters, and a whole lot of sexy. And Sweet Devil is sweetly full of angst as these two “enemies” try to work through their messy feelings and complicated dynamics.

Fans of this series will “know” the characters by now- but that is one of Pembroke Prep Series’ charms- with each passing book, we find out that the characters we know are just really pretty and purposeful crafted visages. We’ve seen Serafina as the queen bee, the Van Doren princess with a deference to her legacy and the rules of her position. The only person she doesn’t heed is the Pembroke devil, deliciously naughty Rhys. These two are one another’s achilles tendon- they know how to get under each other’s skin with a practiced finesse, a tension and energy that has evolved to something way more complicated and lusty than hate, a volatile chemistry that unsettles them both.

Rhys hopes to break Serafina, to unleash her, and in doing so , we get to see the fullest of them both. While Serafina has the most elite family history of the bunch and her family is wealthy beyond measure, the color of skin still has her on the outside in her own world. A weight that adds to the already heavy mantle that comes from the burden of being a Van Doren. I’ve always seen a kindness in her in some of the other books, and as heroine I really enjoyed her. She’s got a fire and untapped strength I admire, but she’s also sweet and gentle. I loved watching her find her way, finding her power. But Rhy, oh lordy Rhys, he’s the most delicious Hellfire Club hellion yet- he’s got the delicious swagger of an alphahole badboy and has been a antagonizing trouble maker, but there is so much we don’t know. The boy has some intense secrets- heart hurting secrets. His visage is perhaps the most convincing one we’ve seen, and perhaps that is because his heart is the most fragile and gentle under it all. Together, they are a force- because Rhys somehow unhinges Serafina to let the best of her free, so that Serafina can fight for the happy they deserve. We have a lot of push-pull, a lot of missteps where love is couched as dislike, but love they have.

I’ve so enjoyed the Hellfire world Becker Gray has created- and this writing duo has become a one click for me. Beautifully penned, wickedly entertaining, heartfelt but steamy, and all that growing up first love angst. It’s all the things I crave in a new adult read, and I can’t wait to see what they do next.

Sweet Devil is the fifth book in the Prembrook Prep series and my absolute favorite of the series! We've seen glimpses of Rhys and Serafina in the previous books and how much Rhys loves to push her buttons but Serafina definitely gives him a run for his money. I loved the pranks between these two, the push and pull, then of course the ultimate realization between the two. If you're looking for a book that will have you giddy with excitement from what these two will do to each other, on the edge of your seat with anticipation from the twists and an overall love for these two amazing characters then grab this book......run and ONE-CLICK now!

First off, I have not read the other books in this series, and although there are characters obviously from the previous books I did not feel like I was missing anything. It can be read as a standalone.
Now, this couple, Sera and Rhys, were like fire and water with each other, attacking and competing, trying to outwit and outsmart one another. Each revenge worse than the last, until the scene in the forest.
This story was intense at times, emotional at other times, but so well written. The words flowed, giving me a great escape into this book and the series.

Adored Rhys and Sera’s story. It was everything I thought it would be!

"She looked like a queen; she looked like dessert. A dessert I wanted to eat for hours."

Rhys Huntington, the Devil of Pembroke Prep, thrived on pushing Serafina van Doren out of her comfort zone. He lived to strip her of her control and good-girl facade. He wanted her to be completely herself. However, when he pushes her too far, Sera completely impresses him with her awesome retaliation.

"I hated that I wanted him. That need mixed too well with fury. Way too well."

Sera doesn't really know why she and Rhys hate each other. They just do. She was fascinated by him the first year they both started at Pembroke, when they were fourteen, but they quickly became enemies. With only a few months left at school before they all disappear off to college, Rhys' prodding starts to escalate and has her behaving totally out of character, and has them crossing lines that they can't come back from.

"I'd been the one to tell her to wage war, and she'd waged it all right. And I wanted to be her spoils."

Gaaahhh!! I adored Sera and Rhys' story. It was completely obvious to the reader how much Rhys loved Sera but there is a reason that he's kept her at arm's length since the day they met. The methods he used to push her out of her comfort zone thoroughly incensed me - they were cruel and humiliating, yet I understood his extreme methods. He saw the real Sera beneath her obedient, good-girl facade, and he wanted to shove her out into the open and be free, if it was the last thing he ever did. Sera is pushed beyond sanity by Rhys' actions, yet he excited her more than anyone ever has. I loved her dichotomy of feeling - she hated him yet he aroused her like no other. The fire between them burned bright. They were sexy AF together! I was absolutely enthralled by their passion and captivated by Rhys' vulnerability. My heart broke for them when Rhys' truth emerged. There was so much energy in this story, as well as emotional depth, as they both fought their personal battles, as well as for each other.

I've loved each and every book in this brilliant series, and I'm praying that the ending was a glimpse of some characters that might be in a new spin-off series??!!

Star Rating : 4.5/5 Stars

POV : Dual

Cliffhanger : None

Hero : Rhys

Heroine : Serafina

Pace of the story : Moderate

Angst Rating : 5/10

Heat Rating : 6/10

Triggers Involved : Pranks , Bullying

Plot Summary :
Serafina has her whole life set for her. She was never given the option to choose. Every move she made was decided and that had her molding herself into what they wanted. That is until she met the devil of the Hellfire Club. Rhys himself. He knows how to push her buttons, how to make h r lose control, and she'd be lying to herself if she didn't love every bit of it.

Rhys lives to trouble Serafina. He doesn't like her ice queen exterior, not when he knows how hot she burns. And he won't stop until everyone sees her Annihilated. No matter what he has to do, no matter how much she will hate him, he will ruin her. Just to make her burn.

Overall Opinion :
Those small glimpses of Rhys and Serafina's tale in the other books of this series just drove me so crazy! I could feel the tension, the chemistry between them and that made me so excited to read their book. I was all over this one as soon as it landed on my kindle and it was definitely my favorite read of this whole series. I am just loving this midnight dynasty world so bad and can't have enough of it! I really really hope that we get more of the hellfire club because something tells me that the new recruits might be crazier than the earlier ones!

Definitely recommending this book to all the enemies to lovers of high school romance. I won't say that this one had bullying since Serafina also gave as good as she got, but yeah these two definitely loved to make each other suffer a lot by playing pranks and tricks that were cruel at most times.

I have been completely taken by surprise with this story. A book that was fun, naughty, in ways very harsh became something so lovely but also sad. Rhys completely stole my heart from the beginning even if he acted like the devil he is.

You will feel all the emotions reading this.

“You feel better than anything. Better than being alive, even.” He stole my heart. 💙

Serafina has kept herself restrained most of her life. She lives a life to make her parents happy. Rhys believes and knows she not acting like her true self. He teases her, pulls pranks they both start to play games with each other. As things and secrets unfold there connection grows.

This book gave me all the feels. I really enjoyed it, even if I cried a little 😆 there story is a complicated one that blossoms in the end.

It’s also one hot read, the chemistry when there together after fighting for so long was on fire.
I absolutely loved it.

If you haven’t read any of the books in the Hellfire Club series I would recommend this book. It can be read as a standalone but It will definitely make you want to read the first 4 books in the series. I’m definitely going to go back and read the ones I’ve not read yet.

So here's the thing, I'm glad the series is over. This book just felt like a repeat of the other books, just with different characters. I didn't really buy into the everyone's a virgin thing again. I mean, we just had that last book. This series is trying to portray they are these hardcore high schoolers, but yet they are all just faking it would seem.

I also didn't really think everything with Rhys fit the book or his character. As soon as I realized we were going down that path I was like, yeah this doesn't work for me. Chad was a running theme over the last several books and that should've been the "twist".

Either way, I finished it.

The last book in the Pembroke Prep series belongs to the devil and his queen. Rhys and Serafina have had this whole I hate to love you thing going on since the beginning of the series. I was dying to know where the author was going to lead us. There was a ton of push and pull in this book and even more secrets. These two definitely walked the very thin line between love and hate and sometimes it seemed like the latter would win out. Will the devil of the hellfire club get his queen or is she untouchable? Get ready for a wild ride with the last book in the series.

“If anyone was a fallen angel, it was Rhys Hunington, the devil of Pembroke Prep.”

Serafina VanDoren is the Queen of Pembroke. It seems she has the weight of the world on her shoulders. Expectations from school and her parents coming at her non-stop. She just wants to make it through the school year and graduate without any complications. Unfortunately someone else has a bit of a different plan. For the last four years she hasn’t been able to get the devil of Pembroke out of her head and their relationship starts to change from hate to something more...much more.

“I see you. The real you. The girl who would be queen. The girl who cries herself to sleep at night.”

Rhys Hunington has always been the dark and mysterious one of the Hellfire club, many call him the devil of pembroke. To Serafina he was the bane of her existence but also the guy she felt this connection to. Rhys knew how he felt about Sera the first moment he saw her. He stayed hidden in the shadows and played a dangerous game until the rules changed.

“Because if loving her was the only gift I would allow myself, then god dammit, I was going to do it thoroughly. I was going to love every hidden corner of her. Even the corners she hid from herself.”

We see a whole different side of Rhys in this book...a much softer side. Once these two get done with their I hate to love you dance things start to change quickly. I really enjoyed the growth for both characters. Sera allowing herself to break out of the box she was constantly stuffed in her whole life. She finally saw that she was more than just a last name. Rhys is laying all his shit bare and allowing himself to finally love the girl. There were some parts of this story that I definitely didn't see coming. Secrets revealed and a dark twisted turn. I really wanted to love this series but honestly struggled a bit through the whole thing. The ending of this particular book felt super rushed, but I did like the way it all wrapped up. I liked this series. I sadly didn’t love it as much as I wanted to.

“Some power in the universe had decided to give the devil his piece of heaven. My first. My last. My Serafina.”

Finally... Finally, we get the Queen and Devil's book. This book brought the feels. There was SO much packed into this story. These two had quite the story to tell and wanted everyone to see it come to fruition.

Serafina is the queen bee at Pembroke Prep. She is adored by most and the ones who don't she brushes them off like have done with her. Her parents are a piece of work. They don't truly care about her. Only care about her connections and how that will help them rise even higher on their pedestals. One person, one boy never lets her forget that she isn't perfect. He pushes and pushes her just to get a reaction. Her parents crush her spirit and he brings her to back to life.

Rhys is the devil walking around the halls of Pembroke Prep. He sees and knows all especially when it comes to one brown eyed beauty... his queen, Sera. He loves to play with her. To see that sparkle come to life, to see a real smile spread on her face. He wants her to have it everything, even it that means she will hate him through it all. He won't hold back because he knows she can stand right beside him and take it.

These two had intense chemisty and were just perfect for each other. I've enjoyed this entire series and it's bittersweet to see it come to a end.

I have been waiting for this book to come out since I started reading the Hellfire Club series. I was in love with the cold ruthless nature of Rhys and Sera being the queen that she is. See these two finally get together was amazing.

This story took me too so many places we saw hate to love, soft moments between them. Every beat was perfect. This whole story is just them pushing each other to be their best selves which makes this book wonder.

Highly recommend one of my top reads of the year.

Becker Gray – Sweet Devil (Hellfire Club 5)
A Midnight Dynasty Collection

Sweet Devil is the final book in the Hellfire Club series. Each book is a standalone within the Midnight Dynasty world, and is connected to the members of the Hellfire Club. Every book features a different couple, and the finale is centered around Rhys and Serafina. I am saddened the series has come to an end but what a journey its been!

Serafina is like everyone in Pembroke Prep. But one thing sets her apart from the rest. The colour of her skin. For this and her parents reputation, she must do the most, be the best, and remain dignified while doing so because she isn't seen like everyone else. She's stuck under her indifferent parents and slowly suffocating beneath this facade of perfection. What a way to end this first class of Hellfire Boys! Rhys and Sera were everything that I had wished for with Aurora and Phin's book. The anticipation of these two's story throughout all of the other books had me on tenterhooks, and man, Becker Gray delivered. This was by far my favorite book in the series. Right from the first chapter, I was hooked. And that love for them carried me all the way through the entire book. The antics between these two was epic, and even though I personally thought that some of the "pranks" went too far, neither character thought so, so I just went with it. Their love was one that I truly believed in, which hasn't necessarily been the case with all of the other pairs. Besides their passion for each other and their feud, I was pleasantly surprised by the emotions brought out in this book. It was a bit of a twist that I didn't see coming, but it was easy to catch on to once starting this book. There was one small plot point that came to the forefront from a previous book, one that I initially didn't think there was a need to revisit, but now that I think about it, I feel like it helped out the final decision that needed to be made, so I guess it all worked out. While I am sad to see this group of Hellfire Boys end their reign, I am really excited by the descriptions for the next class of Hellions.

Sweet Devil is hands down my favorite in the Hellfire Club series. I completely devoured this story in a matter of hours. I absolutely loved Sera and Rhys.

Serafina is the queen of Pembroke Prep. She holds herself to high standards thanks to her family name, but all that always weighs heavily on her. Rhys is the devil of Pembroke Prep. He has a reputation. He has his eyes set on Sera and wants to push her boundaries to get her to drop the walls and show her true self.

The push and pull that is Serafina and Rhys’s relationship is addictive. I couldn’t get enough of it. Plus, the tension and the chemistry that is burning between them. You can’t help but root for the two of them. Everything about their relationship is a rollercoaster. There are so many ups and downs when it comes to these two, individually and as a couple.

This story was unexpected in a lot of ways and ways I never could have expected. The secrets Rhys has been hiding from everyone expect his father are absolutely heartbreaking. Though, these secrets once revealed bring so much to light. It explains why Rhys is the way he is and just adds another layer to the many that are shown throughout the course of this story.

If you’re looking for an enemies to lovers romance this is one to read.

Intense, twisted and heartbreaking, Sweet Devil is the perfect high note to end this series on.

Throughout the Hellfire Club series, I always had a fascination with Rhys and Sera, and I couldn't be more pleased with the story of the devil and his queen. This book just had it all. Steamy anticipation alongside funny, sassy rapport and a raw, heart wrenching twist that had me in tears.
With a great balance of tension, drama, humor, suspense, friendship and love, alongside intense chemistry Rhys and Sera complete and complement each other, bringing out the best and truest part in their counterpart.
A great ending to a lovely series I'm actually sad to see ending, but I'm sure we haven't heard the last yet of the Hellfire Club.

5 stars and a model car

The DEVIL and his Queen! I absolutely LOVED Sera and Rhys' story! I fought back tears in the end, these two were amazing together. Rhys is so broody and mysterious, I loved how much devotion he had for Sera, even if neither of them knew how to express their attraction and concern for each other. I love that they both have things to work on but their paths are inevitably going to lead to the same place. This story was as heart warming (wrenching) as it was HOT. The Hellfire Club is a very fitting name for this group. The suspense was off the charts, like edge of my seat toward the end!!! Could not put it down, just super well done!

I so hate to see this series come to an end but Sera and Rhy's story was definitely a way to end on a high note. Oh, you had better prepare for all the colossal feels that these two will bombard you with! I found it so easy to love these two, as individuals and as a couple. There is a ton of intense chemistry between these two and that means boatloads of sparks. Whether these two are at odds or sharing a moment, the sizzle and team are evident. A rich blend of deep emotions, poignancy, tension, drama, humor, suspense, friendship, romance and heart make an extremely potent and impossible to resist brew that was simply incredible and stole my heart. This is my independent, impartial review.
