Jason broke Gio’s heart once, leaving him broken and devastated. Now, just when Gio’s moving on, Jason’s returned, threatening to do it all over again.
When a hit-and-run accident leaves Gio in a wheelchair, he’s faced with the choice of going to rehab until he heals or asking one of his friends to take care of him. He never expected Jason, the man who broke his heart once, to show up at the hospital insisting Gio come home with him. It sounds like the worst idea possible, but Gio just can’t resist the other man, even knowing he’s setting himself up to be hurt again.
Jason knows it’s a bad idea to bring Gio into his home, but he finds it impossible to walk away a second time when he hears that the man he can’t forget is in need. Jason’s not ready to come out of the closet, though, even to himself. No matter how fast his heart races around the other man, he’s determined to keep his emotional distance. But he’s never been good at resisting Gio.
When Jason’s past returns to stalk him, it puts Gio in danger. Can Jason find the resolve to do what’s right to protect Gio? Or will his attraction be both of their undoing?
A second chances, friends to lovers contemporary gay romance.
When Gio Ferrigno, Jason’s brother Nick’s best friend, is hit by a car and badly injured, the doctor says he can go home with a friend who is willing to take care of him, or he can go to rehab until he is recovered. He needed a wheelchair because his right wrist was also broken so he couldn’t use crutches but, getting into the wheelchair would also be painful.
When all other options were discussed, and none of Gio's friends actually had enough room in their small apartments, Jason stepped up and insisted Gio should stay with him. Both men know this won’t be easy. Gio still wants Jason, still loves him. And Jason still fights his acknowledgment that he wants Gio too. But he will take care of him, even with clenched teeth and a scowl. And his sweet little fur-babies will be there to help both of them.
In a weak moment, with the tension thick between them, Jason thoroughly kissed Gio. Gio had the presence of mind to push him away, and Gio insisted on some ground rules if they were going to get through this. No kissing, no touching unless it was part of the necessary care procedure. Jason knew he was right, but it made him furious and he stormed out and went to the coffee shop, his safe sanctuary. A big blond man, whom he had seen before, watched him through the window. He actually came in, sat down at Jason’s table, and Jason finally recognized his enemy from high school. Lawrence Marshall grabbed his arm painfully and made it clear that he was back here for Jason, knew where he worked, knew where he lived, and whispered in Jason’s ear, “Mine”. Gio had earlier gotten a text from “Unknown” with the single word “Mine”. Jason’s past had now put them both in danger. How can he keep Gio safe? How can he stop this crazed stalker? Jason may already be falling in love with Gio, despite his denials. So this stalker situation can only get worse and more deadly as the crazed man escalates his behavior. But to protect Gio, Jason must get his head in the game and work with his security company family and friends. He cannot let Lawrence get to Gio! Nor should he have let him sneak up on him...
They just couldn’t forget each other Jason is having a problem with his sexuality he didn’t want to admit that he was interested in men. Something happened in his past that made him very wary about men but that was until he met Gio. They had an amazing couple of days but then something happened to spook Jason and he got out of there as fast as he could. It wasn’t until his brother Nick was hurt and he found Gio at the hospital with Nick that he knew his brother knew Gio and was actually a good friend. So when he hears from his brother that to Gio had been in a car accident and is in hospital he can’t help but get down there to see him. Although he tells himself he just needs to talk to his Nick.
Gio couldn’t believe waking up in the hospital to find Jason there. The last time he saw him was at the hospital when his good friend Nick was hurt and Jason wasn’t happy to see him there. So when Jason offered for him to stay at his house because he couldn’t go home alone, the hospital refused to let him go home alone it was that it was to stay with Jason or go to a rehab centre and he didn’t want that so he found himself agreeing to go to Jason's. How would these two cope living in the same house?? Jason would have to help him with a lot how would he cope? With Gio ever find out why he left him after such a fantastic time?? This is the first book I’ve read from this author and I cannot wait for the next book. Oh my Gosh I enjoyed this book so much I like the tension between them but the passion and the chemistry was so undeniable it was just electric I wasn’t sure about Jason when I first started his book but when you hear about his past and why he is the way is then you can’t help but pour your heart out to him. They are just so perfect for one another. A fabulous read I can see myself rereading this book.

3.5☆ This story was intriguing and the characters interesting but some parts dragged while others needed more details. Jason managed to have a brief connection with Gio before his tragic past came back, forcing him to run and leaving Gio with a broken heart. When Gio needs help a year later, Jason cannot stop himself from being there - despite the turmoil and confusion it creates for them both. Their journey now is full of ups and downs, a mix of heartwrenching emotions, and some sizzling chemistry, before another tragic event makes them realize and accept the genuine, devoted love between them.
This story was definitely a roller coaster of emotions and feelings that in the end summed up a bit quickly and I feel an epilogue would have helped solidify the relationship. There are really great friends and special fur babies that helped the storyline, cute and appropriate nicknames, and some moments of lightness amongst all the turmoil. Some points should have been fleshed out more - for example, their past info was dished out in bits and pieces but you do not have a clear picture of what happened. There were a couple inconsistencies and errors that a good editor could have helped with and the ending was a bit of a letdown - yes, their love prevailed but .. SPOILER Angelo is visible, sitting in a car down the street when a big event happens. No mention of him or a reaction to the sirens and police cars. Then Gio and Jason are resolving issues, being intimate, and falling asleep - all while Angelo is waiting in the car for Gio to come back. A quick text from Gio to Angelo would have resolved this.

Ok wow! This was an emotional love story between Jason and Gio! These two had a short lived past romance that no one else knows about. Gio is Jason's brother Nick's best friend who is in the hospital from being hit by a car. He needs somewhere to recuperate and somehow Jason just kind of jumps in and takes him home!! Jason is impulsive and stubborn all in one! These two have such strong feelings for the other that Huge walls go up instantly on both of their sides. Poor Gio has to try to protect his heart! It is told from both of their POV so we get all the feels as readers for what each of them is navigating through. Lets just say they also have an intense chemistry so some steamy times occur despite them both trying to resist! On top of all of this we have adorable cats and a Stalker!! I received an ARC of this book and I recommend for those who like an angsty, yet steamy and exciting romance between too stubborn men! This can be read as a standalone but I am definitely going back to read book one with Jason's brother Nick's story!!
When Gio is left seriously injured after he's hit by a car, the doctor gives him the option of being discharged into the care of a friend or got to rehab until he heals. To his shock, Jason the man who broke his heart a year ago insists that he stays with him. And although he knows his injuries will pale in comparison to the risk of more heartbreak, he can't resist spending more time with Jason. Jason doesn't understand why he offered his home to Gio. In fact, he doesn't understand anything when it comes to Gio. But when his past puts them both in danger, it suddenly becomes crystal clear.
This story highlights the frailties and strengths of being human. It's intense, emotional, and passionate. Both men are easy to love and you can't help but root for them. They complement and complete each other beautifully. The house of cats added an unexpected level of furry and furless cuteness.
Told from a dual POV, Craving him is the delightful love story of Jason and Gio, his brother’s best friend. After a brief and secret past romance the two call it quits. When Gio is hospitalized following a car accident, Jason volunteers to help him recuperate. These two are pure chemistry, but Gio has to protect his heart from the man who broke his heart a year ago.
On the way to their HEA, they must battle insecurities, past hurts, and a stalker.
The author pulls you in and takes you on a rollercoaster ride. If you like light angst, steamy, and exciting romance, this is for you.

This was my first book by Desi Lin and I really enjoyed it and be looking for more by Desi Lin. I really liked the connection and the chemistry between Gio and Jason. These two can't stop their feelings for each other from growing, just like they can't stop Jason's past from going back and causing trouble for these two. I loved the tension, drama, suspense, love, steam, suspense and wonderfully sweet HEA that these two finally got. I really enjoyed this book and I would recommend it.

Who can resist a second-chance romance? This one comes with plenty of feelings and plenty of chemistry— Jason and Gio are both, in their own ways, extremely relatable characters, and their story is easy to get drawn into. This was my first book by this author, and now I’ll definitely be on the look out for more.

Some pretty intense moments make this an exciting story. A love story that doesn’t just give you romance but a thrilling side trek, too. Gio and Jason have a second chance and they eventually take it but the journey is a bit bumpy. Their story is definitely one that keeps you reading. Good characters for sure, likable, Jason may be a tad gruff but he’s excellent with Gio. Together, a great team.

Jason when he was younger his mind and body got messed up. So when him and Gio were together, he started feeling something for Gio and his mind couldn’t handle it. Gio got hit by a car, needed help getting around Jason said that Gio could move in with him and he would help. This time it was on Gio and Jason had a stalker that wanted him back but things were taken care of. Great book!
This is a new-to-me author, and I decided to give this story a try because the description was intriguing. It turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The characters Jason and Gio were likable. But I did feel that the agony part was dragged on a bit too long, making it uncomfortable for me.

Wow! This book is so good! She dragged me in this book, and I was up late at night finishing this! Very Well written and I felt the characters was very good!
Ignoring trauma may cause more harm. Jason, loves men, but he's so far in the closet, he's almost a secret passage. He wraps himself in a dark traumatic secret, he considers a shield but is really an anchor. Harper, his best friend, knows his secret. Gio, Jason's secret ex and Nick, Jason's brother's best friend is the victim in a hit and run and needs close care. Jason, reluctantly steps up and puts Gio in his place as still a secret. Gio, just wanted to love and be love. Jason, thought he didn't deserve/need love althouht he pined for it. Will these two talk? Who will break first? Is there hope? Will Jason seek help? Nice story. Well done. I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.

A very angst filled romance about second chances. Normally I don't like to much drama with romances but this one caught me by surprised on how much liked it.I did get frustrated at times when the two MCs kept with the push and pull aspect of their relationship. I just wished they would just had a little more communication and I think a lot of their issues would had be avoided. Missing the first book in the series didn't take away a lot from the current story...some of the characters made an appearance but mainly as support. We get a very satisfying ending for Gio and Jason and we get introduced to Gio's brother...maybe we will see him in the next story...hopefully:)
