What happens when you stumble in the arms of a gorgeous man with DANGER! written all over? Especially, when you're stuck in your worst magical eclipse?
I’m Sophie Rowling. I used to be a world-renowned violinist, until my world was turned upside down. Following a freak accident in Paris, I can’t remember how to play the violin anymore. To make matters worse, I’m supposed to perform for my childhood teacher’s retirement party, which is just weeks away. Usually I would turn to my BFFs, Jackie the ghost and Allegra the violin fairy, for moral support, but I’ve also lost my ability to talk to them.
Then fate steps in, and Mr. Almost James Bond enters my life. He’s hot, dangerous, and addictive. I can’t spend a moment without thinking of him, and I keep on bumping into him. Honestly, this is so wrong. I should forget about him and focus on my music—in order to keep what’s left of my sanity.
But wait, do I really need sanity? As they say, “Insane is the new cool,” and maybe I need to try being cool.

Dante Walker had a simple job: fly to Japan, run an errand, and go back to the US for good. He wasn’t expecting Sophie, an innocent girl with an attitude, to literally fall into his arms. Now they are being followed, attacked, and can’t get enough of each other.
As their lives intertwine, the danger and passion grow between them. Will the fates allow them to have a happily ever after? Or will fate continue to put them in harm’s way?
Sophie is grown now. She was attacked and drugged a year ago and lost her ability to play the violin and can't see or talk to Jackie or Allegra. She been living Megu with a friend of Dan. She's asked to take an envelope to hotel, the contents spill and she meets Dante. The adventure begins. Didn't really like the book when it first starts off but it got better once I got into it. I'm looking forward to the next book.
An excellent start to a new breakaway series of a grown up Sophie and her adventures without her ability to either talk or hear ghosts. I enjoyed this well written tale and recommend it to readers who enjoy a great tale. This is my honest opinion.
A spin-off of the authors Mandy Rowling series. In this cute romantic comedy it's proven that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Mandys daughter meets and bumbles her way into a relationship with her Prince Charming. A lighthearted, quick read.
Sophie Rowling is all grown up and living in Japan. After suffering a traumatic event former violin virtuoso has lost her ability to play her beloved instrument. She no longer sees or hears Jackie her ghost Godmother or the fairy Allegra. A chance meeting with a handsome man has her wondering if he can bring the magic back to her life.
I received an arc of this book and voluntarily provided a review.
Lots of reasons to read the mystery. The first mystery of the dead man. And second on the emotional issue of not being able to us her violin skills and then falling in love! Good read very injoyable!
This series and author are new to me. The;demise of the series was intriguing. While the writing style was a little difficult to follow, the story is quite funny. Poor Sophie us a violinist who has lost her ability to play due to a traumatic experience. Working as the personal assistant to lawyer who has helped her, Sophie spies a dashing man in the office. As things get more interesting, the dashing man is the client Sophie is supposed to be leaving an envelope for, but ends up meeting face to face.
Follow Sophie through a series of curious and dangerous events as she tries to find out who the dashing man is, regain her violin skills before a special concert, and reconnect with the ghosts that follow her around.
I couldn't finish the book... The comedy part of this romantic comedy is seriously lacking. The main chick and her friends have an epically long conversation about how their parents did horrible things to them and they laugh like they are reminiscing about good times... I was just uncomfortable and confused. Then there is very confusing, main plot points that keep changing. The maim character was raped, then ahe is a virgin, then actually, she wasn't raped... Pass
This book was so good I found this author when she started with her mother, father and Jackie the ghost. I love Sophie because she grew up to play violin professionally like I wanted too. Something happens and a priceless violin is ruinedso she is living with her friend Megu trying to find out why she can't play or gear Jackie and Allegra which she wants to but she will figure it out.

but Sophie's dialog bounced all over the place and I had a hard time sticking with it. I didn't get the witch part, but there may be predecessor books that would have covered that. It is OK but not a good fit for my preferences.
I wanted to like this book and tried hard to get into it because I like the premise very much. The problem was it just didn't make sense. The main characters thoughts and words were very hard to follow. Was this book translated from Japanese? It just reads weird.
