1. Holding "a hit" from a joint, contrary to popular belief, doesn't do anything to absorb THC (the active chemical) better. It only does more harm to your lungs with no upside. One thing that I found interesting is that this book was published in 2010 - not so long ago by most standards. But cannabis activism and decriminalization/legalization movement has gained so much momentum in recent years that reading this book in 2015 already felt dated. For example, at the moment of publishing, not a single state in the U.S. had legalized cannabis - today, there is a cool quartet of Alaska, Colorado, Oregon and Washington plus the District of Columbia. Why should this matter to me, living in Lithuania? Because as far as I can remember, Lithuania has been playing "follow the leader" in the way it tries to please and emulate America. So if one day weed becomes legal on a federal level in The Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave, then my home-country will be sure to follow suit.
2. Smoking cannabis mixed with tobacco (a joint - very popular in Lithuania) does more damage to your health than smoking cannabis or even tobacco separately.
